A friend of mine in Huntsville has dogs and does search and rescue. I asked him if he was going to go down to Mobile to search for Brittany and he told me that they can't go near that case, if they did they would be arrested. That they have to be invited by LE and LE doesn't want them there. I thought that was interesting.

This says to me that they arrested him due to information found by the departments Assaults Unit ? while investigating Wood's disappearance. Which also says to me that they think DK had something to do with her disappearance or they would not have had his name to begin with.

Anyone else think this way too, or am I reading this wrong?

Been away for a few days, I so hoped that there would be positive news of Brittney to come back too.
I so hope that she is in protective custody, or witness protection, or running by herself somewhere- anywhere where she is safe and well. Her poor family.

Very interesting.....ok so the assaults unit is looking into her disappearance, and LE have said all along that her disappearance had nothing to do with the sexual charges of the uncles........ (yep, ok....)

Did they say it has nothing to do with the uncles charges or did they say she wasnt a victim of the uncles and the sexual allegations?

The Mobile Police Department said they believe Brittney is alive and is just not coming forward.

I actually took it to mean that the Assaults Unit was the one that made the arrest. I believe that the reporter worded the statement poorly. The reporter did not directly quote the LE spokesman but paraphrased what was said. It could be read like this: "Kent's arrest, by the departments Assaults Unit Thursday, came as a result of cooperation with Baldwin County investigators and information gleaned during the investigation into Wood's disappearance on May 30, according to Mobile police spokesman Cpl. Christopher Levy."

Local LE has repeated again and again that they do not suspect foul play, BW's case has no connection with the sex crimes case and she has simply ran away from home on her own. I cannot tell you how many times we have been told by local LE, personally, that she is an emancipated person so she can go wherever she wants. They do not believe she is lost, injured or in danger. They believe she is voluntarily missing. They have their opinion and many of us have a differing opinion. Unfortunately, their opinion has seriously impeded the searchers from being able to gather the funds and support necessary to properly search for BW.

Lets not forget who is still sitting in Baldwin county jail, he after all was very close to BW. Maybe he is helping them with this investigation..
