There has got to be a quicker way of identifying remains when they're found for the families' sake. With technology as it is, someone smarter than me can surely come up with a reliable yet quicker means.
Doretha Williams lived very close to here. Charley project has listed her as male, but that's just a typo.

If Brittney has been dumped on a trash pile it will be completely, utterly despicable.
That kind of contempt though - I've seen it before in this thread. I'm really worried that it's her. Poor SH and WH.
The remains had a full set of good teeth. Brittney was so young and had a nice smile. I am guessing she had a full set of teeth. Does anyone know if she had any jackets or crowns or anything?
FMK the dental records LE has are from 2008. I don't think anyone knows for sure if Brittney has had any dental work since then.
She has been missing since 2007, though, and I'd think the remains would be in much worse condition if it's her? The news articles say that the skull and teeth are in good condition.
ETA: Doretha was last seen in downtown Mobile...it would be quite a drive to go dump her body there, but you never know!
Thanks. Even when I look at a map (which I did) I have no idea what I'm seeing. Hopeless with them!
I know there's lots of locals here, and maybe one of you knows someone with some respnsibility for that govt website I just checked, for missing people?
Thing is, it's really helpful to have the site for missing persons, but the location info is not consistent. So some people are listed as missing from Mobile, Alabama, for example, while others are just listed as missing from Alabama. It makes it so hard for all those people out there working hard to id missing and UID people.
And when I searched, I found that all the females listed as missing just from Alabama, (bar one) did in fact have a specific town/ place in AL they'd disappeared from, which was easy to find. I think it would take about an hour of someone's time to add the info to that site, but it could really help. And it could help make a world of difference to the loved ones waiting for the missing.
