Has there been any media or news from people that knew her from outside of her work life other than mom and ex husband? I don't believe I have come across anything outside of her work life or colleagues few words.

What did she do outside of work?? Such as hobbies, socialising, any special interests, etc...it's all very quiet on that front or so it seems to me at least.

TIA.

Her former co-worker says she looks 75 years old from constant tanning. Also he said no one was surprised at her actions.

Video;
Vicky looks old
"She's very calculating and has a dark side" the former co-worker of Vicky's says. He also pointed out, that releasing the photo of her to the public, that shows her looking young (probably taken when she first began employment at the jail), is doing a great disservice to the search effort. He said that's not what she looks like. She looks prematurely aged due to her tanning habit. He said, she could walk right past people, and they'd never recognize her, because they're looking for someone who looks like the blonde photo, not for someone who looks like an old lady with grey hair.

Very good point. LE releasing a photo of what appears to be a perky blonde 35-year-old is only helping her hide in plain view. Does no one have a more recent photo of her to release?

How many of you fellow Websleuthers think it's possible VW could be on here watching everything we all have been discussing thus far? It's a possibility that has intrigued me for days.
It would be a lot of material to slog through. But for someone who has nothing to do all day, assuming they've holed up somewhere for a bit, I guess it's possible. I'd think it would be more likely, that she'd be following media reports, and sheriff's bulletins, and the like.

Thinking out loud here.....I wonder how familiar CW is with the area between the jail and where the orange car was found? This was her territory, for lack of a better word. This leads me to believe they would not have separated. CW is familiar with Tennessee, but is she? Edit: Meaning I remember him having ties in TN. Also, how long has it been since this guy has driven and used any GPS/Google Maps etc...I think he's pretty reliant on her until they get to where he wants to be. IMO of course.

Definitely possible. In the awful Jamie Faith murder, we found out that his wife Jennifer was constantly watching the thread here and even texted the link to her co-conspirator talking about dumb the posters were for suspecting her, lol.

Law enforcement did themselves a huge disservice widely circulating the younger pic of her in the Sherriff’s uniform instead of a current one.

I think that is very possible. She may have even came across this forum whilst researching her plan initially. I do think she is looking herself up online regardless but yes it's up there for me that she could well be reading here. Kind of creepy to think about lol!

Here is an example of a serial killer RUMOURED to have posted here before...

My own opinion.

My vote is that they had a nondescript vehicle stashed nearby fully stocked and ready to go, probably including the weapons. Keep in mind they have said she purchased an AR-15 and a shotgun, plus her service weapon. They can’t just be open carrying all that. So it must have been pre-loaded in the final getaway car. I can’t decide if they actually headed for the beaches of Mexico (they said she talked an awful lot about her retirement beaches, although the mother mentioned Florida) or if they are hiding out in the woods. MOO, based on what I remember reading in the news along the way. She was so hung up on the beaches though I can’t help but wonder if they are trying to get to another country and live on the beach. Shawshank style maybe.
The big risk in advance-stashing a vehicle near where they dumped the Edge (aside from her needing to get herself back home after the stash, without drawing attention), is that if, as they escaped, circumstances prompted them to go in a different direction (roadblock, for example, or a news alert that LE are in the intended location), they would be out of luck with reaching the stashed car.

However, if the second vehicle was stashed just outside of Florence, both the stashing and the retrieving would be easier. It would mean they caravanned two vehicles for a few hours, but that doesn't seem out of the realm of possible, as LE has just speculated.

Also, can someone tell me how far it is, mileagewise, between Edge drop location and where his brother either lived or where he disappeared? TIA

It would be a lot of material to slog through. I think it's more likely, they're watching media reports, sheriff's bulletins, and the like, to find out how much LE knows and doesn't know.

We have to consider what the two Whites would do if in fact their vehicle did break down. Without getting into numerous scenarios let's assume for a moment that only two or three circumstances resulted in them leaving the vehicle where it was found.

Scenario 1a, it did actually break down and they were left high and dry in a rural environment. But they were close enough to their target destination they just walked there through the woods.

Scenario 1b, it was the worst possible outcome. They were nowhere near their target location and they had to flag some Good Samaritan down (at this time no one would be aware they were criminals on the run) and they either were dropped off somewhere fairly local or they attacked the GS and stole the vehicle. If the GS was lucky and just dropped them off somewhere once the BOLO went out they probably contacted LE and told them where he picked them up. If it was a hijacking that person may be dead or gravely injured and hasn't been found yet. If missing I'm sure by now family have reported them missing. If the GS dodged a bullet and they let him go, they would immediately report the hijacking to LE and the location would be overrun with cops scouring the woods.

Since we haven't heard about anyone picking up two unlikely hitchers or some person found dead and their vehicle missing there is Scenario 2, which is they purposely left the vehicle there because they had another vehicle stashed somewhere very close or a third party was going to pick them up.

I don't know how much traffic would be on that road. It does look fairly rural and Banner-Adams is basically a dead end so I presume not that much traffic.

A remote third scenario is that it was a set up and the engine noise the local neighbour heard was another vehicle stopping to see if they needed help and the Whites commandeered the vehicle and forced the driver to take them somewhere since no one would consider a local suspicious driving in their own vehicle, perhaps a big vehicle like a van or a camper van where they could stay hidden in the back.

The location where the orange vehicle was found is interesting because it's only 40 minutes to the I-40 on the 840. I-40/I-30 is pretty much a clear shot to the Texas/Mexican border. About 18 hours to Sierra Blanca.
I live on I-40 (Texas) and there is a flashing alert to be on the look out. Its new, within the last day or so.

There’s plenty of more recent photos—personally, I think the news media wants to use the ‘cute young thing’ photo bevause they consider it more ‘newsworthy.’

MOO

Interesting & thorough article about jail escapes in AL. The jailer who talked his way out of getting killed is a great story. That jails can be at double capacity & understaffed at the same time is a difficulty hard to overcome. We know what the problems are. What are the answers?

The prison system needs to do everything it can to avoid letting those they house be housed in jails due to additional charges, etc. Alabama jails are a very vulnerable point of contact in
They definitely could have varying levels of security and self access. One of my friend’s parents has a storage business in the country that still operates with padlocks and keys! If people don’t keep paying their storage bill, they just eventually use bolt cutters to cut the lock off and they sell the contents (I think there’s laws about how long they have to wait). Anyways a lady has her pontoon boat stored on the lot (not in a unit) and someone came and stole it. And they didn’t have anything of significance on camera because they’re kind of a rinky dink operation. You could come by at 2 am and get your stuff out of storage if you wanted. I always wondered if there could be outlaws just living in the storage unit even, but I’ve probably just watched too many movies.;)
My storage place has a code to get in. And real shady people. Including homeless people who just loiter at their units. I bring weaponry when I have to drop off file boxes.

Also, people have lived in their storage units. It depends on how much security the place has. Mine has this weird giant robot thing that zooms around with cameras. But it can’t be everywhere all the time.

I bet the authorities are closely investigating that storage facility.

Given the tanning bed in the guest bedroom of her old house, I would believe the ex-coworker on this one, even though he probably has an axe to grind.

Some posters on thread #1 discussed the strange fact that CW, already doing 75 years in state prison for his 2015 crime spree convictions, out of the blue wrote a letter to Lauderdale County confessing to a murder he wasn’t a suspect in (a stabbing death of someone unconnected to him he said he was paid to do).
And once he got to Lauderdale County jail and was arraigned, recanted his confession letter, claimed insanity (which handily ensured his pending charges in Lauderdale would have a long protracted process with many evaluations and hearings) and tried to escape.
And now it’s interesting there was a death in Limestone County that maybe he should have been a suspect in but wasn’t (the ex girlfriend that was ruled a suicide gunshot death, who died IN HIS PRESENCE). Menacing an ex girlfriend with a gun was also the kickoff of his 2015 spree.
I take what CW’s mother said in this interview with a grain of salt but I find this quite from her plausible:

His mother claimed he copped to that crime to get a change of scenery at the rural county jail.

“The only reason he came out to Lauderdale County was to get out of the prison he was in,” she said.

“He wrote a letter to say that he murdered that woman. But he didn’t really murder her, he just done that to get back up here.

“He just wanted to be out of that prison because it was so bad and there was no food.”

It's always possible that they have help from his brother...

I've kept this filed away in my brain. I posted earlier, but I think this is entirely possible.

About links, if I recall correctly, the rule on here is that you are supposed to provide links if someone asks for them. Which would probably be if they think something you've posted is incorrect. Sometimes it does get funny though lol.

Re VW's photo, the videos I've seen weren't terribly close up but, that said, she looked to me about the same as she did in the photos provided.
