That’s right but April is not her first or middle name so April Davis could be a relative is the thinking. A few of us have been guessing she has an ID under one of these names that she likely used when she bought the vehicle.
If she used cash maybe she didn’t need to use an ID to prove her name. Especially a small time dealer (maybe a shady one…?) Maybe she was somehow able to claim she would take care of title and tags herself….? Can that happen? Just thinking out loud. Cash speaks loudly…

I feel like if April Davis was an inmate or relative that information would already be out, but MHOO.

I found this… maybe she was able to convince the dealer she was buying it as a gift using cash….?

If the timestamp on this video is accurate, it shows Vicky White in the Quality Inn at 5:21 AM on the morning of the escape.

And she appears to be wearing the same clothes that she was wearing at 9:30 am. Is she wearing civilian clothes? They don't appear to be part of a uniform. No badges, shoulder patches, epaulettes, etc. Is the Lauderdale County Jail that casual that a correction officer can escort a prisoner wearing civvies?

LE did release a statement saying the dealer did everything on the up and up because people were accusing him of being shady.

But good point about cash. When I have bought vehicles cash, the dealer still filed the registration paperwork for me that required my license. But I know things vary state to state. And also, this car came from auction I think I read. Don’t know if that makes any of the processes different.

Just to update from earlier…. I could have sworn that in the earlier articles they had said that Vicky’s dr appt was real
And that she was confirmed to have missed it. But now articles are confirming it was bogus. Apparently it was bogus. Hm. So it was just a distraction to explain why she wasn’t coming back to the jail.

I saw both said in articles. One said it never existed. One said she had an appointment but missed it. I took it as sloppy communication between LE and media.

Absolutely NOT AT ALL. Not in the slightest.

She may not have been a beauty but she's not some weird freak either. IMO.

I've known, we've all known, people less attractive than her who have men in their lives. She was married, after all; she's not an "old maid." If she was only married for a short time, no children, that doesn't prevent her from dating in the real world, or going on those dating websites, or going to places where she could meet people who are NOT behind bars after a lifetime of violence.

In the hotel video where she seems very anxious, we can see her pacing around. IMO she doesn't look like she's waddling. Maybe some kind of limp or arthritis. She also does not look terribly overweight, just an ordinary middle-aged body. She looks less matronly in that striped-shirt picture than in her uniform picture.

The former employee who was let go is IMO making her sound worse looking than she is. She doesn't look 75, (granted he's seen her in person and I haven't), but to me that's clearly a stretch. And he says "nobody was surprised" to hear that Vicky did this, while the sheriff and others at the jail said they're completely astonished. Even former inmates say that.

I feel sorry for Ukrainians being bombarded in basements. That kind of thing. I have exactly zero sympathy for her. If she was lonely, or bored, or frustrated, or miserable, she could have turned her post-retirement life in any direction she chose.

That THIS is her choice? I actually hate her. People are going to die due to the actions of these two. If not, she has still at the very least broken her elderly mother, and is causing taxpayers' money to be spent searching for them.

All MOO

Yeah that guy has a grudge due to being fired. So I take what he says with a little bit of salt. Not a grain. More than that because, well, she did do what she did so yes, she likely does have some sort of a dark side.

However, I believe he exaggerated out of anger.

That being said, I do think she’s not attractive and seems to fit the profile of the desperate, lonely types who do these things.

It is pathetic. And I would feel sorry for her but for her selfish disregard for the welfare of others.

Were Vicky and Casey on there way to anywhere legit when they walked out that door? Court or etc.? If so, she wouldn’t escort him alone, right? They didn’t look to be in too big of a hurry. How many doors did they both have to walk through, unnoticed, to get outside? Wouldn’t another officer have seen them exiting the building—live, or on camera?
And why would she stay at a hotel the night before? I missed that. Because she sold her house? When? And where was she staying since the sale? So many questions.

What about Tommy White’s old car? FW said that VW used to help TW into it or out of it when he was still able to drive, seemingly implying that TW couldn’t drive (re:parkinson’s) at the very end of his life. But was the car still there and did VW have access to it?

The brown building at her house has a door for RVs (or other large equipment). She was also having renovation done on the house (back patio roof IIRC). She could have bought an RV or started a van conversion two years ago planning for this, stored it in there while working on it (house construction covers for materials being bought/delivered) and moved it to that storage unit near the dump site. They then drive the appropriately colored red herring Ford there to retrieve the RV, then one drives the RV and the other the red herring Ford to the dead end obscure country road to dump it and they both ride off in the RV. No motels, campgrounds or other places needed and a good environment for a 6'9" tall person. And I agree with the posters believing they wanted the car towed (and lost) in an impound lot - why leave it sideways, locked!, in the middle of the road.....and do we know that the green paint wasn't there when VW bought the vehicle?

Can I just say...not to get OT, but this thread is by far the best place on the "web" to keep up with the facts of this case, and you all not only strive for accuracy and a focus on the facts, but are beyond hilarious too! :p Great place to keep up with at all...I was so bummed when WS was down for the update and I had to try to follow it on other sites.

Back to reading now...

Supposedly he had a psych evaluation at court. But that was a lie. Also, they’re never supposed to transport a prisoner alone.

Granted I don't have links but here it goes: No, they were not going anywhere legit. The supposed mental health eval at the courthouse was bogus. She was able to escort him alone because she was the head honcho of transport and no one would question her. Not sure why she stayed the night at a hotel the night before but maybe so she could load the get-a-way orange car with all their crap without her mom knowing. She sold her house a while ago and has been living with her mom for about 5 weeks. IMO of course.

The bigger question is what vehicle, if any, are they in now and how did they get from that rural location to wherever they are now? If they had supplies with them in the orange car, they would have had to transfer them to the other vehicle. Is that other vehicle the noisy truck the neighbor heard? Did she actually see the truck?
They could have had 2 vehicles from the start, abandoning the sheriff's car and driving away separately, I think one could have dumped the orange ford as a decoy, whilst the other waited out of sight in the real getaway car.

Oh…I just found where Vicky said she was taking him in for a mental evaluation, and then she had to go to the doctor because she felt ill (likely a lie). Anyway, that explains why they just waltzed out of the jail.
