Alyssa Toomey, eonline

Just days before Kate Middleton is due to give birth, Prince William was hard at work .

But the standby helicopter ready to rush the duke to the duchess' side has now left the Anglesey farmhouse where it has been stationed since Friday. It was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

Does this mean Kate's in labor?!...

^ When I posted the above link earlier, I was just getting on the computer, checking the latest news on my homepage, local news, etc. I Googled "Is Kate in labor?" and found several references over the past 20 hours or so. Many folks are anxiously awaiting the birth of a new royal, and there are likely to be a few false alarms. As soon as the blessed event occurs, I'm sure that social media will light up like :fireworks:

While the world waits (and waits, and waits) with mounting excitement for the royal baby's arrival, two enterprising blokes apparently couldn't wait to spring a few laughs on the everyone.

On Tuesday, a Prince Harry look-alike—along with a fellow dressed up as a giant bear—stopped by the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London, unleashing ample pomp while drumming up some sly publicity ahead of the arrival of Prince William and Kate Middleton 's first child.

Harry's doppelgänger arrived decked out in full military regalia (not to mention loads of chutzpah), while his furry buddy sported a Union Jack scarf and crown...

Meanwhile, Kate's mom, Carole Middleton, has her own ideas on when the baby might arrive: She believes that her grandchild will be born under the Leo sign, reportedly claiming that Kate's due date is July 22...

The Daily Show did a piece on Britain waiting for the new royal baby. They entitled it "On Her Majesty's Secret Cervix" :laughcry:

I check the UK Daily Mail and in here everyday for news. Can't be too much longer!

:waiting: :waiting:

I feel old, I remember watching the telly with my nan when Wills was born and being fascinated by Diana. Now I get to share that excitement with my daughter.

Diana would have made a wonderful nana. Just like mine was.

When I was pregnant with my first child I was thirteen days overdue. Each morning my wonderful mother-in-law would call and say, What! You didn't have that baby yet?! I was young and the phone calls were very stressful, but still, she was the best m-I-l ever.

I am surprised that Kate isn't already in the hospital, just in case. I wish her and her baby all the very best. Wow, history will be made very shortly!

Oh my, Diana would be so thrilled! I miss her.

I am not a royalfile at all, but I have to admit that I was depressed by Diana's death. Her royal treatment didn't help her mind troubles. I think the mind troubles were caused by Chuck and being under the spotlight during their divorce and the embarrassing things that came out of that.

She is the only royal I had admired up til then. Now I have to admit I have great admiration for prince William. He volunteered to join the British army and actually saw combat in Iraq or Afghanistan (I don't remember). He flies a helicopter and from what I understand is very good at it and has saved some servicemen.

Now compare that to the American politicians who voted to go to war with Iraq. Out of all the congressmen and senators, only ONE had a kid on active duty.

Following on from Steely, I don't like the media intrusion. Remember the last pictures of the couple on holiday in France were disgusting?

Remember the last time she was in hospital? Well some stupid Australian radio program pranked a nurse who later suicided.

I hope that they have given the media a curve ball and she is either in Scotland (University Days) or Wales.

Im getting impatient waiting now lmao hate to think how kate feels. I was 2 weeks late with my second and I pity anyone who came into contact with me.

Camilla said we will have a baby by the end of the week, super exciting!

I think the paparazzi is responsible for princess Diana's death.

The Royal couple just announced a baby girl that they are naming Bertha.

There... I said it 3 times... if it worked for BeetleJuice, why not give a try! :D I'm hoping by the end of the week the world will be welcoming a Princess Peaches Pixie Trixibelle of Cambridge... and they will call her... Dot.

LONDON (CNN) -
Royal watchers eagerly await the arrival of a child that will be heir to the British throne. Here's what you need to know and the latest developments:

• Could the world's media be camped outside the wrong hospital? Britain's Telegraph newspaper reports that a contingency plan is in place for Catherine to give birth at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, if she goes into labor while staying at her parents' home in Berkshire, and its swift progress means the journey back to London is impractical.

• The Duchess of Cambridge is expected, however, to give birth at the private Lindo wing of St. Mary's Hospital, next to Paddington Station in London. It's where William was born. Catherine's mother, Carole Middleton, is likely to be on hand at the hospital...
