Hi Jane, are you able to paraphrase the relevant part? Ta.

I have missed that one 1968.
Can you post the link anyway as Makara said earlier today that it is ok to do that even if it is paywalled.

It certainly makes sense to me that the family knew who she was associating with at the time she left Alice and would have immediately had their suspicions once she was confirmed as murdered.
I'd love to read it.

EDIT: found it here >>> http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sub...tory-e6frg6nf-1227587531831&memtype=anonymous

Re time line and when Centrelink identified an issue and stopped the family payments to KPS account. if Khandalyce had been living, she would have been expected to have her DTP/ varicella immunisations at 4 years old. I have an inkling and not too sure, maybe someone in the thread knows, that if you don't immunise your child some kind of flag comes up at Centrelink, cause there is a payment of some kind you are supposed to get. In 2012 Khandalyce would have turned 4 years old.

I think its a given that Karlie's family and friends knew of Holdom and Passmore ( as a couple ) while all were in Alice Springs.. the thing is, it is logical to me , that Holdom and Passmore certainly knew of Karlie's family and friends, and her life there, her environment, her interactions, ....

Or.. to put it another way.. Whoever made that phonecall ( I know there are those who tenaciously resist this idea and hold the opinion that it was a text or message, that's fine by me, I just cant see that working to the extent that it did.. I go for the careful voice of the impersonator with a spare 2 yr old girl child to add veracity to the story hanging around the phone.. ).. knew just about every thing there was to know about Colleen and how Colleen would react and how Colleen would engage. As much as the family of Karlie knew of Holdom it is a fair call to claim that Holdom and/or Passmore knew an awful lot about Karlie's mum and family.... certainly enough to calm all enquiries to Police and even to send money to Karlie's account. Very very persuasive, very cool and absolutely willing to take a major major risk.

I think the family of KPS knew DH and I think once KPS was identified and they knew she had been murdered, they had their suspicions. <Modsnip>

Post a link please 1968. If you can't post a link, don't talk about it. If the article is behind a paywall, you can paraphrase from the article and include the link.

Wouldn't she learn from her mistake if that were the case and not risk being left without insurance again?

Every time the keycard of Karlie's was used , after her death, the risk of discovery was heightened.. . he would have had to go back and check into the Belanglo Forest to see if the body was still there.. that he / she wasn't being watched or tracked and it occurs to me, that once that card was used, and continued to be used, the death of Khandalyce was the only outcome. . To continue the use of the card ,where money is deposited regularly requires the death of Khandalyce. It's inevitable.

She is the living witness, if not a speaking one , that attaches the user of the card to Karlie, but also to Khandalyce.. . Khandles death is a certainty almost from the moment the card is put into use by the person who isn't Karlie. It is only a matter of days, perhaps a week, but a short time because holding the card, and Khandalyce alive is indefensible in reference to the whereabouts of Karlie.

i think that you maybe onto something there ! I think that Khandalyce would of turned 4 in 2010 . I think that she was born in 2006 , BUT by the time 2011 came around ( the year centrelink found an issue ) , Khandalyce would o defiantly been over due for the 4 year old needle. Thanks makes perfect sense why Centrelink had an issue . Well done , Great work

Welcome Insanity. I've removed your reply to the post you were addressing. That post has now been removed.

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry if I crossed a line, have read up on rules etc but I guess an fallible.

No need to apologise insanity. You've done nothing wrong at all. Feel free to join the discussion here. If there's anything you don't understand about Websleuths' rules etc., feel free to contact me privately.

Nothing to add at the moment. Just marking my spot so I can keep up as I recover.

I have been thinking some thoughts for some time now but can't seem to keep up with the thread. By the time I read it, and have taken it in, it's moved on again!

This is is just some ideas I would like to toss into the mix. I am trying to straighten this out in my head, actually. So excuse long post. I'm tossing around a few ideas re timeline.

From the KPS card activity released by police, DH is back in Adelaide by 22/12/2008, after killing KPS somewhere and putting her body in Belanglo.

Due to his mobile pings we know DH was in Belanglo on 14/15 December. I am theorizing late at night - late on 14th early on 15th due to dual date being given. Belanglo is a four hour round trip from Canberra.

i doubt he took KP with him. Maybe if KPS body was hidden from sight, in the boot or something? But why would you drive in the middle of the night with a small toddler and go walking, carrying a body around in the forest in the dark, when you could simply leave her somewhere else/with someone else.

Then he's back in Canberra 16/12 or earlier to use the card.
By 19/12 he is still in Canberra, uses the card again. Is this the time Khandalyce was sighted without her mother.

Then it's off to Adelaide. A 13 hour drive thereabouts.

IF Khandalyce is with him at this point, is she alive or dead....

Theory 1/If she's not with him, and is alive, he's left her somewhere in the ACT or NSW, some where safe that he knows, with someone that he knows. I doubt he would do this. He's killed her mother and Khandalyce can link him to Karlie.

Theory 2/If she's not with him, and dead - he's got her somewhere dry and not exposed to the elements, somewhere there is no chance she will be found or any odd smells noticed. There are are other childrens clothing articles and old suitcases. A basement?

Theory 3/ If she is with him, and she's alive, why is he risking taking her back to Adelaide? I doubt he would do this. When he has killed her mother. Again, Khandalyce can link him to Karlie.

Theory 4/ If she is with him, and she's dead, he needs to store the remains in Adelaide in such conditions as previously mentioned? Basement.

IMO NSW/ACT is his home ground. Where he feels most comfortable. Where he keeps RETURNING to. Theory 2 is what works for me.

Another line of thought (sorry, bear with me ) going back to statement again.

If you google the following.....

https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thornt.../topics/driving-tips-for-canberra-to-adelaide

It explains that a scenic version of the trip between Adelaide and Canberra can be done via the coastal route and Mt Gambier.

On 17/11/2008 the card is used at Rabbit Photo Mt Gambier.
The next purchase is in Canberra 24/11.

My brain is dead now. Having a rest.

Hi 1968. Can you please give a link for the part I bolded? I asked a few pages ago but you must have missed it.

Media had stated. Karlies mum 'got through to' Karlie hence Colleen pulled the missing persons lodgement
Just wondering whether anyone can provide an MSM/police link where it states that Karlie's mum was ever on the phone to someone trying to impersonate Karlie. It's my recollection that the original police comment was that someone impersonated Karlie on the phone to someone. But I have never seen that someone specifically referred to as being Karlie's mum - except here in WS comments. I suspect that the whole idea of Karlie's mum talking to a Karlie impersonator on the phone is a case of something being misinterpreted on WS and then rapidly taking on a 'factual' life of its own. I could well be wrong though! If anyone can please provide an MSM or police reference to this fact it would be useful. Thanks!

I want to ask a hypothetical question... If a person is arrested for child sex offences, is a DNA sample taken from the offender?

Gosh this thread is moving on like a freight train ! Same old ground keeps coming up. Be patient I'm sure it will come out in the next few days

Yes it certainly is, and sometimes I find that travelling over the same ground again I notice things I missed the first time.
That seems to be happening a lot in this case.
I think it is brilliant that so many sharp minds are here and on other forums, sifting through the various bits and pieces we know and suggesting ideas for new trains of thought.
It is a wonderful resource.
