The land within Bronzewing St (NW end) was originally large acreage, but sold off for housing development (formerly Bullfinch St). During the latter months of 1987 blasting was undertaken in preparation for the sewerage infrastructure - patches of hard coffee rock. Gay Sts NW end was still bush, and wasn’t a thoroughfare (i.e. Southern River Rd to Warton Rd). Not many people lived within the area, except there was housing along Limbee,Glade, Pilot Rd and Bullfinch St and the eastern side of Bronzewing St.

Back then Bronzewing St, Limbee Glade, Pilot Rd and Bullfinch St were all known as Bullfinch St (Southern River Rd to Warton Rd).

I might also add, these sharp observations were made by a woman. Former NSW detective with training in profiling who worked on the Backpacker Murders and the Granny Killer.

Did MACRO even have any females in their unit? I haven't noticed any, wtf if there wasn't.

Some very interesting observations made by seasoned detective in this article.

Jane almost certainly had a pre-arranged meeting with her killer, she knew him. The question is also asked if Sarah and Ciara also had met their killer previously.

Yet there's no CCTV of his face, which leads me to think again that he knew where all the cameras were.

I had all the links to where the council put CCTV in, who paid for what etc, who manned them and when the management of the CCTV was passed over but as usual, they vanished off the internet along with everything else about security in Claremont.

To be sure though imo, the area was fairly well covered by the time Ciara disappeared but she was taken from the perimeter. Miraculously, he managed to dodge them all.

Does anyone know if the Conti CCTV cameras operated 24/7, or were switched off at closing time?

Thank goodness the Ice box carry on has finished. Imagine someone going into to The Special Crime Squad & said we have a frame or 2 & Jr is in it. They'd say, so what, we have the killer in Hakea jail. It was going on a bit. There are plenty of unsolved murders to work on in Perth.

That's an amazing post INNERCHILD! DTM was duded in a deal and took the rap because he thought he'd do less time, hmm... but certainly didn't happen that way. How could he be convicted when his DNA ruled him out? Incredible, and doesn't fill me with confidence in the justice process (sigh!). Do we know what Victoria Heather Clarke looked like? I've been searching but can't find a photo. Another poor young woman slaughtered for sadistic pleasure by these hideous "creatures" that masquerade as men.

I’ve always said she was waiting for someone she knew and not a taxi as the rank is on the opposite side and that was the only place they would stop unless you hailed one from further away...the gap of 1 minutes between the cameras surely would have captured a car pulling up, her getting in and driving away from next to where she was standing so perhaps she did wander off?

Funny how Arthur Greer could have been out of jail a few years ago had he admitted to killing Sharon Mason. So if he has always stated that he didn't do it, then who did?

A lot of stuff disappears. I posted these links on another forum, pouffe gone into thin air the next day. Not the first time it's happened either, it's made me very cautious about posting anything related to surveillance, investigative tools they used and MACRO possible stuff ups etc, if it's just to alert the 'sweepers' of something they didn't remove from the internet the first time around. :gaah:

One minute is definitely long enough for a car to pull up, JR jump in, and car drive off.

Without being detected by the rotating camera/recording system .

Another interesting case is Raymond & Jenny Killet. They found him down a mineshaft but not her. A POI is an older man who was with them out of Sandstone, WA. He was on TV. Now he left camp at 3am to go back to Perth for work. They have searched all over Sandstone & down shafts. The way back to Perth is usually via Mt Magnet then south. But there is a straighter line s/w from Sandstone to Paynes Find. My bet is she is somewhere off that track. It is a dirt track with lots of cattle grids. I drove down that track in 1994 approx.

Hi, wow this is crazy stuff!

Good work on the videos, but the Conti was never open after 1 am.. never any rooftop parties (I used to go out a LOT�&#56881 and no rooftop parties as roof was sloped traditionally not a flat roof. Also, the second storey balcony was extremely high, 10-12 foot ceilings on first floor then the balcony, very difficult to hang off there and not need a ladder to reach you! I think it does look like a girl but the angle of the knees is wrong for someone “hanging” their body downwards.. it’s almost like the knees are bent in a sitting position which would discount this climbing down theory?

I can't say 100% that it's a person in that frame due to the poor quality, maybe 90% sure. I see what appears to be shoulder length light hair, a dark jumper, perhaps a white short dress or skirt. I can't make out any distinct shoes and the right-hand leg looks truncated or osbcured by something dark. There could be 1-2 people above her but that's even less clear.

But it still doesn't look right. I assume she's facing away from the camera but the knees appear to be bent toward the camera which would be some Exorcist level body twisting. Perhaps it's actually a blurred face and she is being lowered facing the camera which would, IMO, make for a more dangerous landing. But if she/they were drunk it's possible...

Caporn speaking with Liam Bartlett in 2003 about LW says they've tried hard to rule him with with DNA swabs. It then said his comments are a little misleading seeing they have no DNA of the murder victims. He concedes they are retesting hoping improved extraction methods will get them to the point something is viable.

Taxi drivers swabbed in the weeks following janes disappearance. In the past few weeks Caporn told the Taxi Board the swabs would be kept but not included on the recently implemented National DNA database.

Thank you so much No Name (Hey, you'll laugh. I couldn't remember who had posted this message so I scrolled up to see, of course, there was No Name!). That information was terrific. I remembered watching a fabulous British TV series about the first person to discover DNA fingerprinting, the amazing Dr (now Sir, and rightly so. One of the few who really deserve to be knighted, IMHO) Alec Jeffreys. He was ridiculed when he started out and if it wasn't for one very intelligent Detective who believed in the good Dr and stuck by him, DNA fingerprinting may have remained many more years undiscovered. The British really have led the world in these forensic techniques, not surprised our WAPOL reached out to them for help.

Here's the series if anyone is interested in watching. It truly is astounding and just shows how one gifted and devoted individual CAN change the world!

Thanks Milamber182, I too saw this article when I was looking for a photo of Victoria Clarke, freaked me out a bit when I saw that photo of Fiona Carty, she looks a lot like our beautiful Claremont women doesn't she? Such tragedies all of these murders, so senseless and vile, these lovely young vibrant women killed. Thanks again for sharing. Let's keep looking for a photo of Victoria Clarke, I just get the feeling she looks a lot like JR.
