Some people are very motivated by money. As you say, GBC tried to plan Allison's death and find his way to claim their joint estate in its entirety. His business was not doing so well, due to the real estate market at the time. He left Allison in a similar place .. in a place of nature, not too far away, not too close, not too concealed, not too much in the open. And Allison went for a 'walk', too.

GBC was a cool cucumber, as well. Didn't have too much to do with the media. Struggled to find a tear. His parents covering his tail and assisting him, a bit like Vasko.

The parallels between the two cases are quite interesting. One of the reasons why I would not be at all surprised if we later find there has been a woman in the background, too. Though I believe that retaining the full estate (and insurance?) would be the primary motive, with Karen perhaps planning to leave Borce – in the same way that I believe retaining the full estate was GBC’s primary motive.

It is almost as if Borce used that case as a template for Karen's disappearance. Just a bit of tweaking here and there. Let's hope that if Borce is guilty, he is soon arrested and the outcome is the same.

I'm wondering if Karen had some form of a diary or letters which had an incriminating content (re Borce etc.) and weren't found by LE.

It is also possible that Ms Hili had some knowledge of what was going on. She seemed to jump on matters right away, with haste, as soon as she got the news that Karen was missing. And immediately suspected a 'tiff' had happened on the previous evening.

Recalling the moment she got the text, Ms Hili told 9 News that she immediately called Sarah, but discovered the 21-year-old was 'too devastated to speak.'

Ms Hili said her next stop was at Ristevski's boutique, but she could find no sign of her there either.

So she called Borce, Ristevski's husband, to ask whether the couple had a 'tiff' the previous evening.

She said: 'He told me "we did have a bit of a disagreement" and he just said that she hasn't come home.

Hmmm, I have seen references to knowledge of Karen's family dynamics from her friends. Also their convictions about what occurred with Karen's death. These were on SM, so that means I can't link to it yes? Also means I can't post screeenshots? Could I paraphrase something without providing a link? Thanks.

This article before Ms Hili had a name.

Ms Ristevski’s close friend slammed suggestions she ran away, but also did not know why anyone would harm such a “kind, gentle soul”.
The friend said she would never leave her daughter, and alarm bells went off for her when the missing mother didn’t attempt to contact her daughter to let her know where she was.
“Her daughter was her life. Even if she went to clear her head and she didn’t return right then, I guarantee she would have made a phone call to her daughter to say, ‘I’m going to be away for a night or two’,” the friend said.
“When her daughter asked me to let her know if I heard from her because she ‘didn’t come home yesterday’, I thought maybe she is cooling down. But then I really thought about it and knew she would have made contact.

As far as I know, you can put a link to a FB post if it is from an official FB page (police, MSM, organisation, 'Help find Karen Ristevski' .. the last one is a tongue-in-cheek joke, as if any of the family made one of those ... (but if they did that could be linked).

Then you can say 'look at the comments' or 'look at the comment from a certain date'. But we cannot discuss the comments. Though it is good for us to view the SM opinions imo.

Isn't it interesting that Karen's close friend could guarantee that Karen would have contacted Sarah if Karen was going to be away for a night or two. But she couldn't/didn't give the same guarantee that Karen would have contacted Borce if she was going to be away.

I think that is a significant statement about the state of affairs in the marital relationship.

Did Karen sometimes have an unexpected night or two away from the home, for reasons other than business travel? Is that how her close friend knew that Karen would definitely have contacted Sarah? Had her close friend, on occasion, been sitting across the table from Karen when Karen said that she must contact Sarah to let her know she wouldn't be home (till things had calmed down perhaps?)

Would you mind PM me also Poirot's niece? I would be grateful too. Thought I'd read all the comments on said SM, so am intrigued to find your source.

Cripes, from Germany, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on THOSE![emoji102]

I was thinking along the same lines when you posted this last night South Aussie, but unfortunately fell off my perch mid-post as it is later here, so I'm hoping we can continue this line of thinking.

It's disturbing to think GBC may be the poster child for husbands in the merde or cheating, or in actual fact both. What a role model! If you had it on your mind though, what better way than to review GBC's mistakes? "I wouldn't do it that way if it were me", sort of thing. AJMOO

Karen may have seen a physcologist or spoke to her doctor if she was anxious about the business or personal issues. Those notes would be gold, eh Borce?
I'm sure the cops have everything so far IF that's the case.
Errrr I hope they would.

Im seeing extraordinary parallels between these two cases.
The same template is money, greed, disfunction & a protective family.
I'm anticipating large superannuation & life/business insurance and a love interest.

I mentioned the parallels very very early on and was shot down by some but I still stand by my original thoughts.

Would you mind PM'ing me also Poirot's Neice. I think It would be an incredible insight into the case by those that know Karen most. Thank you.

It will be so interesting to see if we are right in our hunches. We suspect two of the 3 great motives in this case. The one we haven't really considered is revenge.

Not a word by BR about the alleged affair between his son and KR - very incomprehensible. IF his son didn't lie there was a good reason to freak out at some point, besides the money scarcity and the eventual separation (S.'s 21st birthday).
I have just learned that someone who knew BR and KR from times they weren't even married this ex neighbour thought, BR seemed to have been a "control freak" - a further parallel to GBC if I remember well. Only btw. :)

He has not said much about anything though has he, apart from proclaiming the finances were peachy.

Well that's very interesting, isn't it? I did wonder if that's why he liked to show up at her work. Perhaps he liked to keep a close eye on her if he is a control freak. MOO

Concern for Ms Ristevski’s welfare overflowed on the Facebook page of Love Your Sister, the breast cancer charity run by actor Samuel Johnston in honour of his sister Connie.
Ms Ristevski “kindly donated mastectomy-friendly frocks from her own designer range Bella Bleu Boutique Melbourne so I could feel good at all the fundraisers” in 2013, Ms Johnston said in a post. “We’ve laughed together, dressed and undressed together, and shared our highs and lows’’.

Looks like Samuel Johnston's sister Connie became close to Karen.
The highs and lows shared by Karen could be very important info IMO

That ^^ and maybe he needed the day takings every now and then - for deposit to the bank account of course ;), maybe with a little detour via the casino and his buddies. All IMO.
