Yes but did they ask his mother if the clothes she washed were the same as those DJK is seen wearing in the CCTV footage?

DJK comes across as quite smug in the police interview IMO.

When asked by a detective why he had walked in the same direction as Mr Huxley, and not taken a more direct route home given he said he had felt cold, Kelsall replied “I get distracted. I may be cold but I’m still interested in stuff.”"
 
We need to make a timeline. I hope there is more CCTV footage showing DJK returning home. Edit - police asked for CCTV from his apartment block. Hopefully they found a time.

Morgan arrived home from engagement party in taxi - 12.30am
DJK finishes work -around 1am.
CCTV footage shows Morgan arriving at The Oaks - 1.01am
CCTV footage shows DJK lurking in Grosvenor Lane across from The Oaks while Morgan has a drink.
CCTV footage of Morgan leavingThe Oaks- 1.27am
CCTV footage of DJK running after Morgan - 1.28-1.29am
Jean Redmond woken by two knocks on their front door - 1.30am (was this Morgan returning home?)
Jean Redmond woken by a thump, shuffling noises and high pitched scream then gargling - about an hour after she heard knocks on the door. Gets up to check on Morgan and finds him in the doorway.
Jean Redmond calls her boyfriend - about 2.30am. He calls the ambulance.
Ambulance call -3.01am.
Ambulance arrives 3.04am.
DJK says he returns home - 2am or 'sometime before 3am'. (different accounts in different news stories. DJK says that as he was leaving a after a 'consensual sexual encounter' with Morgan he sees a young woman enter the flat.
DJK seen hanging around at the butcher's on Military Rd -7.30am
DJK goes to work and says he is afraid to walk home - less than 12 hours after Morgan's body is discovered.

Hopefully they will be able to clear up what time DJK got home:

A female resident in the unit complex said police contacted the body corporate about two weeks ago, requesting to view the building's surveillance camera footage.

and

One business owner said police were interested in viewing footage taken on Military Road between the hours of 12.15am and 3am.

I'm having vague memories of more specific times being given in 2013. I might need to retread through the old threads and posts. I'm sure the ambulance guys gave a time of the call.

BBM - Me too fruity. I was actually just going through the videos trying to get some sort of a timeline from the security cameras although they're not always correct.

Another thing, remember he was seen back on Military Road "at 7.30am the same day" in the Big Bear Shopping Centre. If you are standing out the front of the BB centre you have a clear view across the road to Watson Street where Morgan lived. He also worked the afternoon shift that day so it's not like he was back in the area to go to work at that early hour. imo

But Daniel Kelsall's barrister says the accused killer will explain it all.

Kelsall's barrister Christopher Watson said his client would address both of these aspects when he gives evidence.

Sounds too weird when a barrister is saying that the defendent will be addressing and explaining anything.

Doesn't a defendant usually just answer the questions they are asked or not take the stand at all.
