I was being sarcastic.How on earth was he allowed to leave the country ? Isn't he awaiting a court hearing ? Why was the passport not confiscated ?

Did anyone see on that channel 9 Facebook page the user who made mention of Novy having an affair with a man on the Sunshine Coast ? This is the first I've ever read anything about that. My gut instinct tells me it's a load of rubbish.

The affair has been mentioned before, but only recent times.

I'm happy and sad at the same time... I wish so much for closure for her family, but buried in a backyard... That's not what I want to hear :(

Any guesses as to who lives there? I'm surprised they actually said the street name as well as suburb!

Do you have a link to say that he is already overseas? I don't see that, and would be surprised if they let him go with the charges he already has pending.

Senior-Sergeant Mark Procter, of Coomera CIB, said tonight that a search warrant had been executed on a house at Eden Park Court at Mt Nathan ‘in relation to the disappearance of Novy Chardon’

Quite a lot of bush area near that street.
 
Holy sheet, they're looking for a buried VEHICLE!!!

How does one just casually bury a vehicle to make sure it's not found?

They must have some pretty good intel to be doing this!

Apparently secret star chamber hearings are hearings where they can pull people in for interrogation, with or without a police referral, and the people can be jailed if they don't cooperate. They are mostly used for organised crime - but not always.

There is a lot of bush surrounding that street ... backing on to almost all of the houses ... as Google Earth shows us. So someone just happened to have a big earth-digger, dug a massive hole, pushed a car into it, and back-filled it.

Wonder if they said they were putting a swimming pool in. But then they changed their mind, and laid a tennis court on top instead. :rolleyes:

BREAKING DEVELOPMENTS: A neighbour has told Channel Seven she saw a car being buried in the backyard of the property that police are digging up on Eden Park Court at Mount Nathan, just to the west of Nerang. I'm not sure but how normal is it to bury a car in your yard in Australia
 
so sad for Novy's children, family and friends.

Why was he allowed to leave the country? wasn't he up on some charges already?
 
I wonder why it has taken so long for this to come out. If I saw a neighbour burying a car I would be suspicious. Of what I don't know, but it's just not normal behaviour !

I wonder if the anniversary of Novys disappearance has jogged these neighbours memory and they have put 2 and 2 together.

The husband of missing Gold Coast woman Novy Chardon will face a trial in July on child sex charges.

John Chardon, 66, has been committed to stand trial in the week commencing July 14 after a brief mention of his case at the Southport District Court on Friday.

Chardon is facing eight charges of sexual crimes against children, which are alleged to have occurred between 1998 and 1999.

Novy has been in my thoughts daily along with Daniel Morcombe since the days they both vanished. I hope this can bring some closure to her family and that her killer/s can be brought to justice. Her husband sounds like a sick and evil man who may well have killed his first wife. My thoughts are with Novy's family especially her innocent children.
