Has anyone else gone missing in Vic since GL was arrested?

Yes.
A bushwalker is missing in the Colquhoun Forest area - since around Dec 17th 2022.
A woman is missing in the Werribee area - since Dec 23rd 2022.
Several Victorian teens are recently missing.

I didn't scroll down very far, I am sure there will be more ..... Missing Persons Australia

I read that Vic Police take about 8,000 missing persons reports every year. About 44% of them are found in the first two days ..... Victoria Police Missing Persons

On New Year's Eve, the Herald Sun ran an article called 'Victoria's biggest court cases of 2022'.

GL's case is among them.
At the end of the little segment about Russell and Carol, it says that at this January pre-trial hearing ..... "If a Magistrate finds there is enough evidence to warrant a trial, he’ll be committed to the Supreme Court to face a jury who will decide his fate".

Brumby Jack made a post @940 in which he said: "And just to add to my last post, for @Arboreal - we know he didn’t take Zeka, and he’d be a complete numpty to try and take Herne Spur out, especially alone and with a trailer on in the middle of the night (I dunno that he’d have made it out), so he must’ve taken Wombat Range, which is easier going anyway. I think I probably said that way back somewhere?"
I made a post @#970 and the moderator removed some of saying it was not from an approved source. I can't recall exactly what I wrote or what was removed, but I think it likely referred to searching the police undertook in April, 2021.
The gist of that was that On April 26, 2021, The Age reported that detectives returned to search remote tracks, rivers and cliffs in the area the couple were camping as a result of information obtained from previous searches. They are focusing their efforts on the Dargo High Plains Road, Cynthia Range Track, Herne Spur Track and the Wonnangatta Track. This was taken from my friend's timeline that she is composing as part of a project for her criminology major and was reported in #370. The ultimate source of this information is an article in The Age, (for non-Australians, a major daily newspaper which is generally considered fairly reliable). The article is entitled, "Specialist police resume search for missing campers Russell Hill and Carol Clay" and can be read at this link: Search for Russell Hill and Carol Clay: Specialist police resume search for missing campers in Victoria’s high country.
This is important because police were clearly working with a theory that the remains of Mr Hill and Ms Clay had been removed from the valley and the police had theories - based on information they considered reliable - about the route taken out of the valley. The person transporting the remains seems to have had some familiarity with the area, because they not only attempted one relatively easy way out, only to be thwarted, and then took the next easiest way out, in the dark.
I should also have added that the place where human remains were found, believed to be those of Mr Hill and Ms Clay, is about 15km - 20km by track from Cynthia Range track - and parts of the track have mobile coverage with vodafone. See images below.

SES call us trackers out first .. ( if they can get us is key ) yet we are never the first ones out there .. the site trampled on and full of mess it like throwing your social media posts in a pile and asking me to pick the first at a glance ay .. coppers know this and sadly only few cop stations know they have trackers to help. they don't teach police to read tracks - by time anyone calls its out its like a cattleyard.

It is the Daily Mail so

On January 13, ballistics experts who Lynn hopes will clear his name will front the Melbourne Magistrates' Court in a four-day preliminary hearing.

Seeing it's the Daily Mail. I've put the date from the Court list that South Aussie posted :)
I mean I've put an alarm on my phone for that day.

I've been wondering...

Could the LE have DNA that links the accused to the crime scene in Wonnangatta?

I suspect the LE have DNA or fingerprints...otherwise, what else do the LE have to arrest and charge someone for murder even before any bodies were found?

I'm guessing the accused has lied to either his family or LE at some point and it will be his undoing.

There seems to be something important in the covert recordings. Something that is a part of the incriminating evidence.
Because in May 2022 the police asked for an extra 12 months to put together transcripts of "covert listening devices and other material".

I reckon he's been caught lying either after being interviewed by LE or after a "media release", by surveillance.

The LE may have taken a while to link the DNA or fingerprints from the crime scene to him (GL) ... but once they did....and combined with surveillance. ....arrested, charged.

Would they have revealed it before now, if during one or more of the recordings, he talked to someone about the "two campers" and revealed his part in it or at least mentioned that he was in the area when they camped.

Or talked about it without implicating himself, ie showed a lot of interest.

Maybe the trailer came up in conversation with someone. Or maybe they have him talking to himself about something that implicates him.

If he did talk to someone and revealed his part or hinted at it, wouldn't that person or persons be in a bit of trouble for not coming forward.

As i understand GL made himself known fairly early on, as being someone who may have been in the area at the time of RH and CC disappeared.

I'm thinking along the lines of maybe he said to LE that he hadn't seen anything unusual but LE already know he must have seen something unusual as they have his fingerprints/DNA at the crime scene.

I think LE may have had some evidence such as DNA early on though it wasn't a match on their database. It wasn't until they had whittled the number of people of interest down, that they found the match.

This is all just my opinion and speculation, but i think LE must have had something pretty substantial (like DNA) to be able to charge him.

I also think the LE have been very careful what to let out to the media. For a case that had so much publicity, we've heard so little about what LE actually know!

I think it would have been more suspicious if GL had not said that he was interested in the "missing campers" because he was in the general area at the time. He could not be sure of how many people may have seen him. But - it does seem that LE must have some very substantial evidence against him. I look forward to hearing it.

The arrest was made on 22 Nov 2021.
The search for Russell and Carol's remains started on 29 Nov 2021.
They were found the next day, 30 Nov 2021.

And now the DM is saying that there 'may be' an indication of a self defence plea ... "top Melbourne barrister Dermot Dann, QC in November suggested a self-defence argument might be on the cards". (He is not GL's lawyer.)

I wonder if GL told the police where to find Russell and Carol after he was arrested, because he then learned that they have hard evidence against him, and is aiming to say that Russell (and Carol !!) made him fear for his life.

Self defense from two seniors followed by burning their camp down, putting their bodies on a trailer and then hauling them far away to where people cannot find where he hid their bodies?

I wonder if they knew it was GL who killed Russell and Carol when DI Stampers said this ....

Victoria Police Detective Inspector Andrew Stampers told 60 Minutes, “Everything seems to point towards this being some sort of confrontation, which has started as an argument maybe.”

“But my belief is that the person that carried out this is probably just an ordinary member of the community, who’s operating in a normal job, but carrying this significant load on their mind.”
