I've been doing some research on how pedophiles meet and it seems there are a huge amount of them who go onto psychiatric sites and talk about having the impulse but not acting on them.... Totally grosse but interesting. I bet there are many who go on those sites to meet like minded people. The worse thing is like someone posted earlier that there are many in university who are becoming teachers etc. very very disturbing :/ hope police keep and eye on those sorts of pages :/

If someone took William, it is unlikely to have been their first offence, says Dr Michael Diamond, a forensic psychiatrist and criminal profiler. “You don’t just do this sort of crime for the first time,” he says. “You would have to overcome other experiential things that confront you if you are going to do something of that magnitude. Is it somebody who has access to a child, and thought about it and not done it because their contact is too obvious, and so it has been a rehearsed and lived-in fantasy without the terrible outcome?” Diamond asks.

I agree also think the majority of paedophiles would not even consider snatching a child, most seem to find their victims closer to home . There seems to be one lurking around every corner, so one would expect a child to be snatched daily, yet there really are very few. It's a hugely risky thing to do, wondering if paedophiles are more reckless if there are two of them together.
If only we knew the POIs previous convictions, we'd have some idea if they were capable of escalating to this.

I think mostly they 'meet' on the internet. They also seem to trawl social media, gamers rooms and BBs looking for contact with minor children; that's why it's absolutely vital to have access to (and check) their social media accounts regularly and not allow them to have unsupervised chats on webcams, mobile phones, etc. Many social media sites have privacy controls but, if you aren't tech savvy, you should become so PDQ.

That would be this one :happydance:

Maybe Websleuths should create a new emoji in honour of little William who I know will slay those baddies. Perhaps our gorgeous Detective Jubelin could put it on his business card once he brings William home. Hopefully that's pretty soon. Im happy to pay for the printing

Is there a possibility that BS 's spare parts for his repair later the day of 12th Sept contained extra cargo in a washing machine barrel. Or maybe he was asked to deliver SCRAP METAL to AJ or perhaps service his previous client's machine who he was well published to have done work for before (as a relative of his good friend). Love to know who his customer was that Arvo

Hunch/findings/connections, whatever you want to call it, have been reported to Crimestoppers.

That would be underneath the headline that reads 'Little William found safe and well'. I'm still holding out for that one

Hi.

Are you Cagney or Lacey?
Am I Cagney or Lacey?

I'm having an identity crisis LOL!

I'm astounded at how much personal info our POI have available for anyone on social media. I can only say it's not solidifying the argument that these 'alleged' pedo rings are IT savy. Certainly not with social media in these cases anyways. I hate to tell you fellas but if I can see stuff then I'm sure the coppers can too.
BTW I've not even ventured beyond POI so I hope that means I'm within guidelines

Could you please tell us this story's headline, FromGermany?

Paedophile Paul Bickford visits wife’s home, group linked with him part of William Tyrrell investigation

I think, it was this headline. I'm not sure, because I had tricked the program but have now forgotten, how I did. :blushing:

Read some research from the Australian Institute of Criminology:

http://www.aic.gov.au/crime_types/cybercrime/onlinevictimisation/children.html

They don't target minor children using their own identities, rather fake profiles where they purport to be their peers, using other young peoples' photos, etc. Ever heard of 'catfishing' where adults have personas not their own? This is the same with online predators only more tragic.

Yes, I've read a similar link. I think the information was originally brought to us by Wikileaks:

https://wikileaks.org/wiki/FBI_pedophile_symbols

I really, really don't think that this kind of thing is accurate. Sounds more like urban legend kind of territory.

The references quoted by Fortunate are based on information contained in an unclassified FBI document; with Wikileaks being the original source (see my reply above).

They just named this pedo from western Sydney and upheld the 23 year sentence. Good riddance.

"Convicted paedophile Bryan Edward Roads’ actions have been described by a judge as ‘heinous and evil’."

"For the first time, The Sunday Telegraph can *reveal the identity of 56-year-old Bryan Edward Roads, convicted of 40 counts of sexual offences against the girls, including one as young as five, in one of the worst child sexual abuse cases Penrith District Court has ever seen."

I can't find the tele article although https://www.police.nsw.gov.au/news/...vdi5hdSUyRm1lZGlhJTJGNDg4NjEuaHRtbCZhbGw9MQ== is the police media release.

It made me wonder whether this was perhaps a result/uncovered as part of the broader investigation into this case (even though it says the case started in 2013).

Just read the article so took a photo. Note it actually mentions how it is from the same area as Anthony Jones and Bill Spedding. It was in the daily Telegraph page 43 Sunday September 27 2015. IMG]http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/27/55b9715b11f511e220144680d3f3ffaf.jpg[/IMG]

Lol Coppers have full access, even on deleted sites.
