For me, its about William, for answers to his disappearance & for answers that may provide some semblance of peace for the multitudes who are investisted in his wellbeing.

Thanks Warshawski but I’m only saying what everyone who has William’s and his families’ best interests at heart are saying, albeit slightly differently. For me, it’s about a little boy named William who has been torn away from the people he loves most of all. I knew that pain as a child (and it still affects me in some ways as an adult) and, even though you adapt to the situation(s) forced upon you, nothing but reunification with your loved one(s) can even begin to heal your wounded heart. Nothing. And no one.

At the very least we wouldn’t want that to be the case, Greg. And, at the worst, it could cost someone, even William, their lives. There has been enough pain and suffering with regard to William’s case without risking even more.

Not to mention the legal consequences if someone is found to be interfering with a police investigation and/or intimidating potential witnesses. Ignorance is not an excuse; even online.

SA and tgy put up some very useful information about how to get in touch with Police, via alternative means, earlier in the thread. Maybe they’ll post it again to remind us. There’s also a new app called iWitnessed available from the App Store or on Google Play to report crime (in Australia only).

If you’re OS, you can report anything online via your country’s specialist cybercrime department. I am sure they will pass it on to Australian authorities. They work quite closely on international crime, especially to do with children, nowadays.

No, I don’t. It was reported in MSM that his remains were interred or cremated on Wednesday of this week. I don’t think his death was reported in MSM, other than the Obituaries (which, for obvious reasons, I don’t read).

I hope I wasn’t speaking of Mr Tyrrell as if he were alive when, in fact, he had passed away. If so, I sincerely apologise to Karlie and his loved ones. That could be the reason Karlie was admitted to a Mental Health Unit. I know I was devastated when my own father passed away many years ago from cancer. I pray Karlie has good friends and loved ones to support her in her time of grief.

I used to be an angry young (and now older) woman too, C&L, although I realise now (quite recently really) that the fact that I was hurting inside was the reason for my anger. Just a couple of years ago, after what felt like an lifetime’s search, I was blessed to find a good trauma therapist who helped me to heal that hurt. Now, a wise man is helping me to realise that my anger is only serving to add to other people’s, and the world’s, suffering. And yet another is about to teach me to have compassion for myself. Finally, I am beginning to find peace. I pray that Karlie will find her road to peace one day, with compassionate and loving helpers along the way.

Even if Karlie is surrounded by the best therapists while being hospitalized, unless she admits she has a problem and truly wants to be healed then she will walk out of that joint without the skills to stop the cycle continuing. Sure she might feel a lot better initially but when she's faced with adversity down the track and the pressure starts to mount, her anger will build and she will undoubtedly lash out and find herself once again in the hands of the law but this time without being able to look to her Dad for support.

Why thank you C&L. I appreciate your validation. We all need it.

Hopefully, by the time Karlie is released from the MHU, she and/or loved ones will have done some pre-discharge planning and have sought help from one of the resources I posted on the thread earlier. If she does, and commits to attending therapy, she may be able to interrupt the cycle, channel her anger in more positive ways and begin to have compassion for herself. I pray this is true for Karlie in the future.

I pray she finds the strength of her father, and of all of those who have truly loved her, within herself and commits to doing all she can to change her life — but most of all to do it in memory of him.

‘The Freedom Centre in Tasmania's Derwent Valley wants answers from the State Government following the death of convicted sex offender Sonny Day.

The 61-year-old's body was found in Claremont yesterday but police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

He lived at the Freedom Centre at Ellendale after his release from jail last year but was relocated after an arson attack.

It is a pretty gruesome subject, but there is not too much 'pretty' on a crime forum.

It is very possible that William was abducted by a child sex offender. And so many people judge those kind of people by how 'nice' they are, or by how 'they don't look like they could do that'. When it seems that (when they are revealed) many pedos are 'nice' people who look like 'nice' people, as well.

Sometimes it does us all good to know how their minds tick.

The more aware we are, the more we can protect our own and others children .... like William. imo
