I'm happy to drop it, but the Port News article link you used as an example to your commentary, was a poorly researched article with no facts, so I thought I would point out that if you wish to discover the origin of the dispute between W4W and the Official Campaign, you should go back through the W4W facebook page and take your research from there. And like you say to me all the time, sleuth for yourself.

That unofficial FB page isn't allowed, so therefore I regard anything from it that isn't mentioned in MSM as rumor and lies. In this case IMO it is also (as per the article) 'an absolute disgrace'.

Drop it as you wish, most of what you have posted shouldn't be here to begin with.

ETA - I've seen their view time and time again, and still can't believe that they actually think they have any right to do what they do.

The comments are not considered part of the MSM article, they are in fact more ridiculous statements by their followers.

OK, whatever you want to believe.

Where's William Tyrrell? Bring Him Home - Official
2 August 2015 ·
His family are also inviting all Australian’s to put their full support behind the Where’s William? Campaign including the organisers of the Walk 4 William events who need to officially register their event and hopefully they'll want to fundraise to help support the family’s Where’s William? Campaign. Only registered Walk 4 William events will be endorsed by William’s family.

Above is an extract from a post before the 1st Walk for William. It was the 1st time it was referred to on the Official site. Prior to this date, posts on the Official website were about donating to the campaign and events that had been held.
Apologies, I felt the need to post as I found it disgraceful to not be able to prove that something is not a lie or rumour when evidence is available. As for the screenshot of the communication that is available I won't post it on principle as it was not to me. MOO

The walk was being promoted by a number of groups including Walking Warriors post on 23/07/2015

Argh, maybe there was a leak

Bravehearts launches national "Where's William?" campaign

The Where’s William? campaign’s primary activities will launch on Sunday, August 2 as part of National Missing Person’s Week.

Those behind the Where’s William Tyrrell campaign have hit out at an online group they say are falsely claiming to be endorsed by the missing toddler’s family, Yahoo! News reports......

The W4W page had posted a public message to the official campaign for William Tyrrell asking why two of the three billboards urging the public to come forward with information about the missing child had been taken down.

“Where have the funds that so many of us donated gone?” the post continued.

Must have been someone in the area to know one of the billboards had been taken down.

I'm not sure I follow, maybe there was a leak?

Not every missing persons case has an official campaign. Maybe many in the public don't understand, that others just expect them to accept and give authority to such campaigns. Many just want to support WT. I don't like the comparison ever to the Morcombe campaign. As I have said before, the public readily accepted that DM was witnessed by many people just prior to going missing. His family were totally transparent and excellent at putting DM as the only priority, to the point of having the investigation questioned, by way of an inquiry.
WT's campaign I think is unique to other missing persons cases. Many who have been following the case understand that WT is not the only priority in this case, which is unusual. Many want to see him be the priority above all else in this investigation like most victims of crime are treated. Which brings me to my next question, which I have found difficult to articulate til now. If the Minister was ultimately responsible for WT's care when he went missing, should that person or any part of the department they are also responsible for have been able to impose any limitations on the way the police investigation is run to find out what happened to him? Is the Minister's position not totally compromised by the way this has been handled? These are genuine questions.

The following are three post from 8th July 2014, nearly a month to the launch.
A leak is an interesting idea, but why is difficult to just acknowledge that maybe many other people in the community, outside the Official campaign took it upon themselves to raise awareness of WT's disappearance and organised a walk out of the goodness of their hearts.

Who takes a tiny child?

That's a good question. I just googled 'who kidnaps a 3 year old' and the pages were full of mixed cases and motives. All different types of family members from parents to grandparents, teenagers presumably being mischievious, quite a number of cases in more disadvantaged parts of the world for ransom or to sell to get themselves out of debt, some intent on sexual assault. It was a really mixed bag.

Missing toddler William Tyrrell’s parents plead for people not to forget their little boy
LIA HARRIS, POLICE REPORTER, News Corp Australia Network

The campaign aims to raise continuing awareness of William’s disappearance through signs, letterboxing, social media and advertising.

Many supporters are organising Walk 4 William events
, to be held on the *anniversary of his disappearance, September 12.

I take it to mean that people who support WT have organised their own events. The campaign at the time seemed to choose to see others efforts as endorsment of support for their campaign. IMO

Maybe the problem wasn’t the supporters of Walking Warriors on FB but one or two of the administrators of the page. One of whom we know from her appearances at the NSW Supreme Court and Court of Appeals and on ACA.

I’ll be interested to find if someone knowingly started (and has continued?) any ‘mischief’ in the investigation into William’s disappearance, once he is found. No doubt investigators will find out, if they don’t know already, and are just itching for the right time to slap the instigator(s) with a charge or two (or more?) irt to it.

My heart sunk when I heard this. Pray this little one is found safe.

A three-year-old boy has wandered away from a campsite near Mudgee in the NSW Hunter region, with search crews spending the night in bushland looking for him.

James Skillen was last seen about 5pm on Saturday at a campsite with his family who were enjoying an Easter break on a property on Old Ilford Road, Razorback, about 69km south of Mudgee.
An extensive search of the area by police, NSW Ambulance, the Rural Fire Service, SES and the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association hasn't located the child.

My opinion is a conflict began with communication between an individual running the Official Campaign and individuals within another group who know the law. One feels imbued with some type of authority and the other knows what their rights are as individual citizens and as a community group and I would say has spiralled from there.

Little James has been found safe thank goodness.

I was under the impression that the official ‘Where’s William?’ campaign was endorsed by William’s family. As far as individual citizens and community groups go when it comes to someone’s missing child, who cares if their views are counter to those of the child’s family and the police investigating a crime? That is, unless there is some conflict between members of the missing child’s family irt the way the campaign and investigation is being undertaken. In any case, surely the interests of the missing child would be best set aside by family members by working together and with police, not against each other (via proxies).
