Science of sniffer dogs: Meet the canines that can smell two-year-old blood
Posted 18 Aug 2017

By using this distinct dog unit, a large search area can be screened as a potential crime scene in cases of assault, missing persons, mass disasters or suspected homicides where a body may not be present.

Blood-detection dogs are a recently specialised unit under a broader grouping of scent-detection dogs used by law enforcement.

The dogs' highly sensitive sense of smell can locate a range of target odours including drugs, explosives, human bodies (called "cadavers") and now blood.

Police are also looking to speak to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area recently, as well as around the time William disappeared.
It has led to suggestion that perhaps the person who took William more than three years ago may have returned to the site recently.
Yes this keeps coming up. Someone referred back to the Kiesha Abrahams Wieppart case recently (a case I also followed very closely) and that was the moment the mother and her partner were arrested when they supposedly went to the burial site to put flowers on her grave (personally I think it was all for show, they knew they were going to be arrested by then and did it that way purely to make it look like they had some sort of compassion...pffffft). But it also crosses my mind that if a perp got a sense that LE were starting to sniff around in the direction where some significant evidence could have been left laying around or after four years could possibly be more obvious, perhaps they would go back to try and cover up/remove such evidence. It is also possible that someone else who wanted to protect that perp may do the same thing for them. There is also the possibility of course that someone had an idea of what the perp had done and wanted some proof. One Million Dollars is a great incentive for a lot of things.

Someone’s been digging? WTF!?
Williams birthday.

It’s been known for the murderer to go back and move the victim to a safer location.

Let's not forget there was another tree message at one stage.

Yes I think they are searching on Batar Creek Road.
If you look at the clip - you are looking back down toward the bus stop, police bus, palm tree and Cedar Logging Road street sign and the yellow causeway sign.
When comparing to google maps.
The search appears to be headed up toward Old Coach Road turn off.
imo

A nice thought: The suspects and POIs are sitting at home, reading all the news or even WS content AND can't do anything at the moment!

First time poster, pop in every now and then to read. But have LE discussed psychics? I seen something on a support page, someone claiming to be the person who is feeding LE with the information and location for the new search. I am hoping that they actually have new information and are not just going on what a 'psychic' is saying.
After 4 years they might listen to a psychic, IMO. Because long time ago I read of "creek" and "stone" within the street names (if I remember well), I'm now very curious. We will see .... ;)
