Yes, the people (next door, up the hill, before the forest trail) were just away, I believe. I don't think their house was for sale at the time.
The plot of vacant uncleared land across the road and down a little ways was for sale. We used to speculate that the mystery man asking for directions in town may have been going to look at the land that was for sale.

I think it goes like this.

There is a house opposite grandma's on Benaroon. I recall he was mowing the lawn at the time.

Well done with the 1km radius SA.

Stay safe Makara. Caravanning on the Gold Coast. Sounds wonderful, can I come too? I won't eat much :)

It is a huge coincidence that you have a situation where a young boy has been unsupervised, only for a very short moment, and someone has come into contact with him at that time -noting how quiet the street is.

Police hope to recreate the situation in which William disappeared from accounts of everyone who was in the area.

I am assuming that would be at ground zero with recreation between 10:00am and 11:00am and in particular around the time William was last seen.

I can't speak for the family but I have been doing this a long time and I am very much aware of the fact that families suffer when they don't know what happened to their loved ones. Insp Jubelin said.

Would the family be expected to take part in this recreation?
Or would it just be piecing together and getting a visual picture on the account of each witness statement.

Hi All,
Been lurking since BS, and decided it's time to come out! With Gary Jubelin on the case and recreations in the wind it is all so promising that perhaps there is a breakthrough and William might be found, hopefully the best case scenario.
Love all the sleuthing work here! Couldn't stay away.

Thanks TGY. :)

It is interesting that you mention the neighbour mowing his lawn, because I have often wondered where he lives exactly. I went back through the threads and re-read our convos about him, but I don't see any links saying exactly where he lives. kiwi50 mentioned that they thought it was the next door neighbour, though I am not sure why kiwi thought it was the next door neighbour, and the neighbour gives the impression in MSM that he lives 'down the street'.

Did I miss the convo about him living across the street? Help! :help:

"'When I heard I was on my ride on mower and saw a police car. Someone came running down the street. They said someone had just lost a kid. I took my dog for a walk and had a look for him. I wish he was found on the first day.'

Hmmm now I'm not sure why I thought he was next door neighbours, I now don't think he is, but would love to know which house he is from, wonder if it is the house which is now on market.

Thank you for posting the pic with pushpins.. now I think I'm more confused than ever. It looks like Benaroon Drive ends right at Grandma's house.. but I thought Grandma's house was on an angle on a corner lot, and it looks like there is no road for the neighbour that is away, to access his property. I have lost my bearings. Is there another map floating around that can show this neighbourhood a little more clearly? TY!

Maybe take a walk through the neighbourhood using Google maps street view. It is what many of us have had to do, to understand the layout better. The line through the trees is the extension of Benaroon Drive. Grandma's house is on the corner of the straight part of Benaroon Drive and the extension part that leads off into the forest. Her front door and driveway are on the extension part of Benaroon Drive.

I wonder when it went on the market? The cached version says it was cached yesterday. Is it cached the first time it appears? I don't know much about caching.

"The vendor has made the decision that he is moving so he wants his property sold immediately. The listing price is a bargain ..... "

I have never noticed this sentence in a real estate ad before. Perhaps potential liens on the property, or something.

"We have obtained all information from sources we believe to be reliable; however, we cannot guarantee its accuracy. Prospective purchasers are advised to carry out
their own investigations."

I thought when I looked a few weeks ago this was the going price based on sales history for the area. I was actually surprised when people referred to the grandma as living in an exclusive area based on the sales prices.

I also don't think young family. It has a lovely flat yard - but no play equipment (swings, trampoline, bikes in yard). Also with the stereo on the floor and TV within reach of little people it does not seem practical that a kid would live there. Too neat for kids - or my kids are are high maintenance - lol.
