I'm struggling to find the article with the direct quote. In evidence the friend recounted when FFC disclosed kicking the child and saying she was not coping. The friend said maybe she needed more support to which FFC said she had applied for it but it was declined. I'm assuming it was support to help manage the child's behaviour based on the word "applied" in context to the conversation. If you want your own support, you just go out and get it, it's not someone else's decision. MOO
Perhaps with her ptsd and depression she wasn’t thinking straight because I don’t see how difficult it would have been for the Ffc to ask her Dr for a mental health treatment plan for L. I believe it entitles you to 10 Medicare rebated sessions with a specialist.
Then again I can’t understand why Ffc chose to care for another child when clearly she was suffering from her own mental health issues.

The Guardianhttps://www.theguardian.com › junWilliam Tyrrell's foster mother denied mental health application over alleged assault of ...

SD was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and PTSD, and some of her mental ill-health relates to the “difficult relationship she had with her mother and the loss of her mother in most recent years … in fairly difficult circumstances,” he said.

It may be that those type of treatments for children in care go through the department? I don't know.

Sacrifices do not have to be made if they have actual evidence. Why is it okay to sacrifice his sister? And for what? Nothing so far. IMO they have nothing that will stand up in court and when the first assault happened they still had nothing. In their desperation they took no action. I think they waited until the warrant expired and they weren’t able to obtain another. They had nothing they could charge them with in regards to William so went with whatever they could get. Absolutely appalling police work. A child should never be made a “sacrifice” in the scant hope you might be able to further another case.

The child had counselling sessions with Emma Ballard in September and October 2021.

JMO – Something tricky to work out about the times quoted for CCTV, Mobile phone tracking for FF, verification of Lakewood errand by FF.

Would it be useful for any of the following points to be verified:-
  • 8.50 am (Tennis Club CCTV) … did that align with FF’s Mobile departure?
…. Question: Did FF’s Mobile align with his departure time / or was is phone not with him?
  • Use of FF’s laptop for Zoom call at Lakewood:
Question: Did he need his Mobile / could he have connected to it if it was 10 mins away back at Benaroon Drive?
  • 9.30am departure time verified as when FF’s Mobile left 48 Benaroon. Question: Was that FF (Accompanying his Mobile) / someone else in possession of his phone?
…. Where else was it tracked travelling, after it left at 9.30am?
  • Deleted calls;
....Question: Were the phones of both FF and FM involved, when were they actually deleted, and what might the relevance be?
  • Question: Is it possible that Burner phones may have been used by FF and FM (To maintain some privacy for calls and texts … e.g. From Employers)?
  • Question: Was the arrival time for FF’s Mobile … back at 48 Benaroon verified?
MOO

Very sad to hear. RIP to our valued member. :(

If there is any kind of afterlife, deugirtni and William's FGM will both know what happened to little William before anyone else. If William is no longer with us also.

JMO in relating to these linked posts:-

Earlier this year, InFocus made this post in regard to the time of William’s disappearance, and I think they are valid points:

Australia - Australia - William Tyrrell Disappeared While Playing in Yard - Kendall (NSW) - #74
“Actually, you would want MFC, FFC, and FGM to have "corroborating" evidence - a collection of facts and information that backs up someone's story. You want the exact time frames of all 3 otherwise red flags are raised.

The FGM is adamant she never saw MFC that morning in the walk-through video. FFC and MFC suggest he left around 9-ish Yet we have various times given when he left, especially if you're to believe CO's version in her book.

If they couldn't corroborate that basic (seeing each other) piece of info, then "Houston, we have a problem!" The walk-through video was done within a week of September 12th, so it's not like you couldn't remember exactly who was present and when. It's not hard to recall if you saw/didn't see someone and the other 2 parties place all 3 people still at the house. If one party is suggesting something different then that raises the possibility someone is not telling the truth.

There are time discrepancies with MFC, FFC, and FGM for good reason IMO.

Why is it that the time of William's disappearance has been allowed to be moved from 10:30 am to 10:10-10:15 am over the years? Not even Mr. Jubelin has raised an eyelid over this. Instead, he put 100% focus on Spedding and Savage and we now know how that all went down.

When does FMC take that drive to Batar Creek Rd? Is the timeline shifted back to fit the drive into the 10:15 am-10:30 am window? If so, then all the stories about him going missing at 10:30 have suddenly become unbelievable. Even in the police public interview in 2015, the FFC mumbled under her breath "no that is not right", responding to MFC saying 10:15 am is the last time he was seen.

If 10:30 am is the time he disappeared how on earth does FFC make the drive to Batar Creek Rd and be back to greet the MFC in the driveway? We know for a fact she takes the drive to Batar Creek Rd, that's indisputable.

You can't have it both ways when it comes to times and discrepancies. Time will bring someone's version undone with all the flip-flopping. I'm sure Mr. Laidlaw is aware of this.”

On Friday, a Court in the Act podcast was released by Tim Clark (Legal Affairs Editor) who was chatting with barrister John Hammond about William's case. Much of it is a rehash - but I was interested to hear the end piece (from about the 32min mark).

Re: will William's case ever be solved?
It's a hard call, Tim. On one hand I'm optimistic, it took Lindy Chamberlain some 10 to 12 years to ultimately get justice, after numerous inquests and court hearings. So at the end of the day, what I believe was a fair result was obtained. I will ignore all the hardship that went with that along the way.
In terms of the Clairmont serial killer, we eventually got there. A long, painful, slow process.
Will we get there with William Tyrrell? I think that answer remains to be seen. I'm a little bit cynical about whether we do, because based on what we know so far, there's not enough for the police to press charges.

Re: the fact that a brief of evidence had gone to the DPP was made public
Well firstly the disclosure of the brief should not have happened. That should remain entirely privileged material between the DPP and the police. That's just entirely wrong.
In the Tyrrell case I don't think it will do too much damage, but it is certainly not helpful.
It shouldn't happen, Tim.

There is always hope South Aussie , there will be answers and William found.
Regarding the Claremont Killer, many from our High School said, if the Police had mentioned to the Media, that Jane Rimmer had mention the name Bogsey to her Mum. a friend she was meeting that night, his former High Student knew that nickname, he gave himself in Year Nine we never called him by the nickname
( Yes I know why he called himself that so did the Schoolies of his High School years)
His former school class would had rang the Police if that detail had been released. So Tragic. IMO

IMO - I agree 100% with yourself & @SouthAussie & it pains me to see how few of us seem to feel this way. I’ll admit, I am usually a ‘the means justified the end’ person, but not when it comes to children. You’re messing with their minds! How does everyone think she’ll feel when she becomes aware that the police let her remain in an ongoing abusive environment. I’m not okay with it. MOO

This is a truely awful situation Karin - and I wonder perhaps do we view it X more awful because it involves children. I know I’m all about ‘how dare you, that’s a child ..etc’ .. and that’s as I think it should be,

However, we then hear the news reports of children causing havoc & despair across communities - and those Children are reported to being 10 years of age
( or even younger)

So I’m playing devils advocate here and wondering if L was approving / ok to remain in that house.
I’m remembering her speech prIor to the halt of the Inquest where she pledged her determination to find out what happened to William.

Horrible situation, irrespective of her resolve, she‘ll be deserved of so much genuine love & care. ..and I hope she has it.

all just me venting my personal thoughts & thanks for listening:)
