If so, I have a feeling it wouldn't just be left there. I know it sounds crazy because it would draw more attention, but I keep wondering if a burned out car has been or will be found in a reservation around there soon. I've been focused on fire and desert for so long now in regards to Adrienne but without knowing why, I just had to ask. Is there any factual evidence that burned vehicles could just burn out on a reservation out that way and not have the fire department called or anything? TIA

IMO, nothing would have to be burned on the rez to be disposed of. There are areas (where "populated") where one can drive down an ungraded road and put 15 MILES between two homes. We are surrounded by reservations and federal land here. Just to give you an idea...

MAP OF RESERVATIONS AND FEDERAL LANDS

The Gila and Salt River reservations are both 15 minutes in either direction from Tempe (if that). Take a drive down McDowell Rd. and note the abandoned and decaying buildings... the abandoned cars... you could spend all day every day for weeks searching them (and those are just the ones off the main drag) and never see them all. Needle in a haystack.

ETA: As if to substantiate, look what popped up in my feed. A VISUAL! :) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?....110676339011792.19526.100002082800478&type=1

GGE: Burn barrels. A lot of people burn their trash. It is not uncommon at all to see smoke. <3

I dunno. A fire would draw attention even if LE wasn't called.
I am am not convinced this has anything to do with a reservation and who volunteers their car for this?
I don't see why it would be necessary to burn a car unless there was a bloody murder scene there.
If AS died there might not be a bunch of evidence
Moo.

I could see her body being burned... to hide evidence of strangulation or some other DNA.

Ground penetrating radar. I'm thinking buried and intact. Sorry to be so blunt guys. :( I hate talking about these circumstances, but...

Ugh creepy looking complex in that pic...

Ok for example, remember the image of Tsarnaev hiding out in the boat? That image is a great example of GPR. Its a land based "sonar" of sorts where you can see the human figure hopefully inside of a structure or in the ground.

"Can GPR be used to map cemeteries?

Yes. GPR is the best geophysical technique for forensic victim location and for the mapping of graves in cemeteries. While we can sometimes image the body directly, GPR responds well to the disturbances in the soil which are created when a pit is dug and refilled."

"First-time users will need 2-3 days of training to become familiar with the equipment and ground penetrating radar theory. Training is provided free of charge with most GSSI equipment.

How deep can GPR “see” to locate targets?

Depth of GPR penetration depends on the material being surveyed and also upon the antenna frequency being used. For instance, GPR will penetrate ice, rock, soil and asphalt differently due to each material’s unique electrical properties. Lower frequency antennas will generally penetrate deeper, but there is a loss in resolution with the drop in frequency.

Soil conditions can vary greatly, which in turn affects GPR penetration. In general, dry sandy soils with little salt content return excellent survey resolution, but heavy clay-based soils are difficult to penetrate with GPR. In some situations, penetration depth may be limited to a few feet or less within clays, whereas pipes residing in sandy soils could be detected at depths up to 30 feet.

Your GSSI Application Specialist can help you find the equipment that is right for your project and profession.

Can GPR be utilized through water?

Yes. GPR can be utilized through fresh water, but it does not operate where salt water is present.

Can GPR be used through ice?

Yes. GPR works extremely well through ice and snow. They are some of the most favorable conditions for GPR.

Can GPR be used with GPS?

Yes. GSSI’s systems can integrate with most GPS systems. The GPS position data files and GPR scans are automatically matched within our systems so that the resulting data shows proper GPS position."

anyone local hear anything about the body found this morning at Basline and Guadalupe? I heard it this morning on the news, with no other info - and can find nothing in the print news yet. Not saying it is at all related, but our ears are perked for anything like that.

Haven't heard this yet, but considering Barakzai's body was found near baseline and that's where DR George lived...

Will look for more info on this unidentified body now...

Nothing so far, will keep checking.........

Yeah I think it's a bogus lead, ArizonaPistonsGirl.

Has happened to me before when a news editor re-published a report of an unidentified body in Mesa a month after it actually was reported.

It sounds like what you heard could have been a re-reported, very shoddily covered update on perhaps Annovedwin's case that happened on baseline the same night Adrienne disappeared?

I've even checked twitter. Not a peep about a dead body being found in the mesa/Tempe areas.

Twitter is the best way to see if ppl are trending a topic on a homicide/body recovered before the news hits the media and public. Someone will post "body found down the street from my house in Mesa" for example and usually it retweets and trends.

I'm pretty sure what I heard this morning was the beginning of the story I posted upthread, not a rehash of something old. It was far too brief to be a rehash of anything. We all know that details come in spurts to and from MSM. Disregard it, thanks all.

I'm saying, you twitter search for the phrase "dead body" or "body found" and you can basically see up to the second reports of all the bodies being found in the us and around the world. You can even advance the search by twitter searching the phase "dead body found AZ" etc

Was just providing help. Sorry.

Eh........this might be the story : http://www.azfamily.com/news/local/Man-arrested-after-dead-dog-found-in-cardboard-box-219048801.html

We have "dead body", "found", "Friday", "Guadalupe"........this might have solved that mystery!
I kept seeing the headline but didn't check it out.

So the body found is a puppy. :( Very sad....

BUT WHERE IS ADRIENNE??????

Her puppy is missing her!

Ominous weather here in my neck of the woods...
Prayers for Adrienne!

Another day of silence from LE.

This is breaking my heart.

So...8 weeks tonight? And when did LE last have anything to say?
Seems like the time span for these cases to stay in the news keeps getting shorter. Short attention span of viewers? Lack of interest? Self-absorption, i.e if it doesn't concern me...?
