I don't want to try an analyse the 911 call. It may be that SC was in shock. But if police won't allow him to be around his sons and wife. There has to be good reason. JMO

Thanks BDE.. The dog in that video looks injured.. Did you notice?JMHO

The dog looks like he is having trouble walking. :(
It could be that he's old and arthritic?

His fur looks like he's been chewing on it ?

I note he's outside the door/fence to the yard.

IMO He does not look like he could have gone far when he was "at large."

As described above, the animal had access to the deceased person directly, so they had the source available immediately.

In these crime/missing person cases, the person isn't there so the source is gone, and the dogs are looking for a scent that would have been transferred to an item...carpet, bedding, something. I would expect that to take some (albeit short) amount of time.

We need to get SARX over here from the Sierra Lamar thread...at least that's where I saw them last.
They're a vetted, CERTIFIED search and rescue expert on here.

I have heard of certain defense lawyers hiring web watchers to get a feel for public perception on a case....they monitor comments on news stories, and public forums .. I believe
I wonder if LE does this in any way...

Probably. I work for a criminal defense firm - on big, jury trial cases they do have me check the media and comments. The cases have never been quite big enough for WS, haha. Let me just say, I think Topix may be the cesspit of the internet.

I would guess that everyone does it from LE to prosecution to defense, just because you don't know what you'll find.

Interesting theory. I like the outside the boxness of it. The BBM portion doesn't track for me tho. IF SC is left to explain Isabel's absence then RC would have to not know in order for the 911 call and report of abduction to make sense. If RC knows whats what, then all you have to do is explain to the boys, friends and neighbors that Isabel is visiting so and so, out of state. No call to LE needed.

I probably wasn't clear--I was thinking that initially, she didn't know, but maybe he could stand watching how upset and stressed she was about the whole thing and broke down and told her the truth.

Per Nanwv earlier in this thread, the game ended at 9:30, so he would have had to have been watching it on DVR (IMO likely easily verified by LE).

Well, they might be able to verify if such a game was taped and possibly even if the recording was played (depending on the system) but if everybody else in the house was either sleeping or missing they wouldn't really be able to verify if anybody was watching.

I did notice something strange on the dog's right side. Is that what you mean? It looked like the coat had been trimmed or shaved - maybe the dog needed stitches following an animal attack or something like that. Or, I suppose it could be some type of allergic skin reaction that causes the coat not to grow. I thought the dog didn't look particularly healthy, but this could be an older animal who moves slowly. :moo:

He does move/look like an older dog. That or he is shedding, needs to be wormed.

Apologies if this has been mentioned, you guys are fast posters, still on last thread.
Being a baseball aficionado, SC's Diamondback comment from the 911 call got my attention. Watching the Diamondback game on at midnight? It was over before they got home.

Sergio: “No, we got home late from my son's baseball game, about 10:30 last night. Everyone took their showers and they all went to bed. I even was in the living room watching the Diamondbacks game at midnight, I fell asleep, and I never heard anything weird. I was* just on the other side of the wall from her."

Friday April 20
Diamondbacks vs Braves in Phx
Started 6:40 pm AZ time
Game Time lasted 2 hrs 50 min
Ended 9:30 pm AZ time

Could be TIVO I guess.

Tivo was my first thought too, as he had to miss the game to be at his son's game.

Is there any account of what SC told RC when he called he at workr? Did he call her just once? I would think the call would have started with "I can't find Isabel. Is she with you? Was she in her room when you left?" If i was in that situation, i think i wouldhave asked that first before waking the boys. I would have told her I'd call her back after looking more thoroughly. But if he already knew no one was going to find her, his call would only be to tell her to get home because her daughter was missing.

I'm throwin my hat into the ring....

For me, the 911 call...first 3 sentences...

911 Operator: "What's your emergency?"
Sergio Celis: "I want to report a missing person. My little girl who's 6-years-old. I believe she was abducted from our house."
911 Operator: "Why do you think she was abducted?
Sergio Celis: "I have no idea. We woke up this morning and went to go get her up, start her baseball game, and she's gone. I woke up my sons, I, we looked everywhere in the house, and my oldest son noticed that her window was wide open and the screen was laying in the backyard. We've looked all around the house."

Who says "abducted" in a 911 call??? And, then, says "I have no idea" when asked why.
Maybe it's just me...I know people use different terms and deal with things more calmly than others...but, THEN, he's tellin a story!!
Went to get her up...start her baseball game...woke the boys up....whaaaat??? REALLY????
Listen to Cindy Anthony's 911 call....IMO, now THAT'S a 911 call.

Again...only just IMO.

The only reason I can come up with is if they saw the open window and screen off, I guess one would assume an abduction. She is too young to run off on her own.

With that said, I think most times, they would say "missing" rather than "abducted".

If this father is innocent just imagine how being separated from his sons is going to hurt his family. I sure hope they find out what happened to Isa soon. This is awful.

I highly doubt hes innocent. They must have found something very bad for cps to remove him from seeing his children. It is practically impossible for cps to keep parents from children unless they are harming their children, sexual abuse ect.

Imo the dispatcher means to ask what made SC think that IC was abducted, and the response doesn't really make sense because he has no idea and goes on to explain what his idea is (the window and the screen made him think Isabel was abducted)

I wonder if he responds to a different question than what was asked, if he was replying to a perceived question about the motive, "why was she abducted".

But he is seperated for a reason. What reason we don't know but it is not just because his daughter is missing. There is something going on that is pretty important for him to be cut off from his children. The fact he did it voluntarily just means to me that CPS was going to force it if he didn't.

I dont believe sergio slpet that night at all. And I think the police figured that out too.

I keep thinking that the voices that the neighbor heard might have been Sergio and someone else (JM?) when they returned from their "errand". If something happened to Isabel in the house during the wee hours, SC and a colleague may have used this opportunity to "take care of business". They made sure that they were back home before Becky had to leave for work. :moo:

Can someone give me examples of "pointed questions" LE refers to during the PC?

Are they coming right out with accusatory questions? What is the difference between what they were doing then and what they're doing now that is causing the Celis family more strain? TIA
