Still no sign of Jesse
From a July 17, 2017 article marking a year since Jesse disappeared.
The body cam video here is heartbreaking. It's from April 2016 when LE found Jesse at a neighbor's house. There's more in the article:
---Jesse has a brother and sister of similar age. After his disappearance, they were removed from the home where they lived with their mother, Crystal Wilson, and placed in foster care, according to police.
---Authorities are continuing to investigate what happened to Jesse and have not yet ruled out any possibilities as they pursue different scenarios about the boy’s fate.
“Our hearts weigh heavy. The whole department has been focused on this and are sad he hasn’t been found. But it’s been a long time and sometimes we look at the worst-case scenario,” she said.
She said, “We have no suspect or suspects at this time. No one is a person of interest.”
---Wilson has not been administered a polygraph test, nor has such a test been administered to anyone in connection with this case, police told The Republic on July 17.
The Justice Department’s program on missing and exploited children advises police departments to quickly assume foul play and to ask parents to take a so-called lie-detector test, in hopes of eliminating possibilities.
---Police continue to say that foul play has not been ruled out.
While child abductions by strangers are relatively rare — with just an average of 100 children taken each year — police are still considering that scenario.
---A phone number and email address have been set up to send tips to Buckeye police. So far, the hotline has received 24 tips, none of which have provided any leads in Jesse's disappearance.

It's notable IMO that Jesse had difficulty answering the officer's questions. Mind you he was probably frightened - Jesse said as much - still, I find it unusual that a boy his age was unable (or unwilling) to share basic information with a police officer.
He wasn't able to (or didn't want to) say where he lived, if he lived in the neighborhood, his full name or who he lived with. He wasn't able to name who his parents were or whether he had brothers and sisters.
When the officer asked him if he lived with his grandma Jesse said yes. He also said he lived with his grandma and an auntie, who he named as "Eshum." The officer kept reassuring him that he was going to help him get home. Jesse replied that he used to go to school in the middle of the night.
The neighbor is heard saying he was freaked out - it sounds like he spotted Jesse hiding in a bush? Dressed for school no less. Around 3:30 in the video Crystal explains to the officer how Jesse got out of the house. The officer said Jesse said he jumped or fell (from the window?) - I can't be certain but I
think I heard Crystal say "he's lying."
I dunno, under other circumstances I wouldn't pay much attention to what I've read but given that Jesse's been gone so long and very likely deceased everything feels out of place and suspicious.
It just seems to me that if he did run away and sought shelter somewhere, based on his past behavior he would have been found by now. His history is running away, not finding impossible hidey holes. So what does that leave?
Jesse where are you?
