One can always hope.

But..... according to the Amber Alert, the suspect had her hair in a bun. (hint: watch the video) :(

Oh Belimom, I did not see the bun. I was so focused on the black eye and possible bruising around the mouth.

LE surely has some answers on mother's whereabouts and clothing at the time Jahessye was seen being taken.

I hope the other children have been removed from her custody and placed somewhere safe.

Is there a 6 year old sibling?

Jahessye was conceived in July 2005? That would make Hunter 6 months pregnant at the time of the January 24, 2006 interview. Weird that wasn't mentioned, would be pretty relevant that another child was on the way?

Tired, am I just boofing it?

Belimom can you snip and copy the first paragraph on page 6 of the court doc under relevant history? I can't get it to post.

I wish LE could tell us whether or not Jahessye's siblings (brothers?) are in CPS custody or not. Surly they would have been examined by now for signs of abuse and removed from their mother's care if they are or were being abused. Too bad children can't be taken away from their parent's care based on probability, likelihood or an off the charts hinky meter reading.

NOT another one?? Why oh WHY are these people allowed to keep their children and why oh why are they not kept under the jail. Im sick to my stomach. "Mom" is a monster.. and Jahessye looks so sweet. Im praying you are right Magnoliamom and someone is trying to save her.

Retired Sergeant Theorizes on Child's Disappearance
Police dismantle command post, stop active search

GLENDALE - Former Phoenix Police Sgt. Paul Penzone, who also worked for ChildHelp, an organization working with the prevention and treatment of child abuse, is shedding some light on the developments in the missing girl case.

48 ours have gone by, and police have dismantled the command post. That means they are done with the search.

Although they will continue to follow up on and investigate leads, they will not be actively searching.

We asked Penzone, after all this time has gone by, what are the odds of good turnout? And does the fact that her mother previously served time for child abuse play into the investigation?

I feel like they are giving up on Jahessye, it's too soon to stop active searches!!!

I agree. And I want to know what is going on with the other children. I hope that there are solid leads that LE is following up on. I'm still hoping that little Jahessye is found safe and sound. It just seems so odd to me that there would have been only one siting of such a young child walking all by herself.

There used to be a former Phoenix LE who would be on Nancy Grace. It would be great if Nancy picked up Jahessye's story.

I wonder if they got some info that is leading them to stop the search..... video of mom in her car heading some place, or something of that nature.. I can't see them giving up

so ok I have just caught up to find mum has gone to jail for child abuse and is married to a sex offender..............and she still has these children aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!

OMG!!! I just came to check in on this little sweetheart and saw all the news about her parents.

I am just sickened. I was feeling sorry for her Mom but now.....not so much.

I hope she didn't hurt her beautiful little girl.

Late Tuesday, Jahessye’s mother returned to her apartment near 45th and Glendale avenues to find her daughter gone. The girl’s older siblings, including a 13-year-old, had been watching her as their mother went on a brief errand.

Not much new...
I don't think it's a coincidence that the mother spent time in jail for child abuse and this beautiful baby is missing
Perhaps someone took her to protect her? I hope so....
Come home safe Jahessye! :rose:

I was thinking the same thing....
No one can tell me that (how do I put this gently) that certain cases don't take preference over others for obvious reasons.
Sad state of affairs..... :sigh:

I agree. I think they must know something. MOO

So sad...

"Glendale police said the big tip that came in Wednesday was that a black female between 25 and 30 years old, about 120 pounds, with black hair in a bun and brown eyes, was seen putting a child in a vehicle. That child reportedly matched Jahessye's description.

Police said the woman was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans rolled up to mid-calf.

The vehicle was a black 1998 to 2000 4-door Chevy Malibu, which drove away from the area eastbound on Glendale Avenue."

Someone had to have seen what the mother was wearing that day.

Can anyone recall where the video is that had the Grandfather in it?

Glendale police told CBS 5 that no one has been ruled out in the girl's disappearance.

"Everyone is a person of interest," Coombs said.

Coombs was asked the whereabouts of Hunter's other children.

"The other children are, I believe, with family members," Coombs said.

A spokesperson for Child Protective Services said they had been consulted, and that none of the children had visible signs of injuries.
