It strikes me as telling that when DM said "mission digestion", CN simply replied "lol mission digestion" as if she knew exactly what he was talking about.

Any ideas on what was with the "nvm" when she made that joke about the paper shredder? Didn't seem like it was a joke that went over well.

I agree, I had the same interpretation. As far as "nvm", what came to mind for me was that she knew about the "Eliminator" and was making a joke about it, and he didn't want to acknowledge it... doesn't go with the flow of the rest of his texts throwing around its mention but maybe because it was CN? I dunno...

The defence still has to stand up and make a speech on how these guys are not guilty - both S&P and TD. That should be an entertaining fairytale (theme of the day?)

Pretty Grimm fairy tale they will have to come up with.

Court is now back in session, but some legal arguments are happening. I can't talk about what's happening until the jury is in.
by Adam Carter 2:22 PM

Court now stood down for a few moments because of some technical difficulties.
by Adam Carter 2:25 PM

Court now resuming. No jury in yet.
by Adam Carter 2:45 PM

Jury now being recalled.
by Adam Carter 3:04 PM

Millard's lawyer Ravin Pillay now cross examining Harrison.
by Adam Carter 3:06 PM

Pillay says :"There are many other messages from this device that were not introduced?" Pillay asks, and Harrison agrees.
by Adam Carter 3:08 PM

We're now seeing some that the Crown didn't introduce.
by Adam Carter 3:09 PM

From April 29, 2013 -- this is an exchange between Millard and Andrew Michalski planning a BBQ. We've seen these before.

April 29, 2013. Texts between Millard and Kowalski about party being planned, 5 guys, 10 girls. (Jury has seen some of this before.)

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 20s21 seconds ago
They begin on April 29, 2013. Exchange is with Kowalski. They are discussing a party (We saw some of these before in Michalski's testimony)

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Millard: Wednesday evening, barbecue at maple gate, invites only

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 2m2 minutes ago
April 29 2013 Pillay revisiting a text conversation between Millard and Michalski where they were planning a barbecue with 5 girls, 10 guys

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Outgoing from Millard phone: "Wednesday evening. Barbecue at Maplegate. Invites only, bring Mel."

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 2m2 minutes ago
Michalski tells #Millard where to find chicken and salad in fridge. "Thanks honey great dinner, you'll make a great wife some day."

"Too busy right now," Millard responds. Then texts from Rabbit: "Why is your trailer here??? Is it usually in the hangar??? Whats up? Why the hurry last night?"
by Adam Carter 12:58 PM

This sounds to me like not only was MB NOT on vacation but she was HOME the night the trailer was delivered...How come we heard otherwise, who was lying? IMO

The defence is doing this in an effort to illustrate BBQ didn't always mean the incinerator, it could also mean an actual barbecue.
by Adam Carter 3:11 PM

In the messages, Michalski and Millard are discussing plans for a BBQ, who is coming, and what food to get.
by Adam Carter 3:13 PM

Court now seeing a photo of what looks like ribs sent from the Millard iPhone on this day.
by Adam Carter 3:14 PM

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
They discuss the menu. Kowalski texts "can you think of any apps we can serve?" Millard responds "bacon." "Mmmm" Kowalski says. "Bbbbacon."

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 2m2 minutes ago
Interesting to note Millard spells it "barbecue" in regards to the party, but spells it BBQ in the alleged references to the incinerator

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 26s26 seconds ago
Still texts regarding the barbecue party.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 35s36 seconds ago
Kinks texts annoyed he didn't tell her when the food was being served: "Thanks for the heads up now I won't be there until the foods done."

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 27s28 seconds ago
The party is called a barbecue; that's not just a term he used to describe the Eliminator incinerator. Now looking at photo of ribs. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 23s23 seconds ago
From Millard phone: "no worries, I'm awaiting you." "Good party, people are leaving." #Bosma

See, I still don't buy the whole swapping VIN idea. In Ontario every vehicle needs to have an emissions test every 2 years. During that test the VIN is recorded and photographed. So if they swap VINs, its going to lead back to Bosma within 2 years. For the swap to work they would need a third salvage truck with a Cummins Diesel.

Not sure about Ontario regulations but in many areas trucks over 1 ton (3500 and up) do not need emission testing ... big trucks are designed to gulp fuel to produce raw horsepower in order to deliver heavy products .

Some provinces require diesels to be tested ... mostly for sulpher content etc .... most of which have been removed in modern fuel .... wouldnt matter anyway because DM's transplanted VIN would be for a gasoline engine and would not be called up

Mostly I think DM was going to keep using both trucks under his original Red Ram registration and license plates and VIN and just switch back and forth between Baja and work

To do that would require sectioning out a couple of inches of the metal dash containing the VIV and moving it back and forth , and have the cutout handiwork hidden under the dash padding with only the VIN showing to the public.

Pillay now asking about the time on a cellphone being connected with the cellular network and automatic synchronization of the date and time.
by Adam Carter 3:15 PM

Harrison says we don't know when messages and photos were deleted from Millard's phone. Many messages we've seen have been deleted.
by Adam Carter 3:16 PM

Pillay is done, and Smich's laywers have no questions.
by Adam Carter 3:16 PM

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 4s4 seconds ago
May 1 2013 texts from Millard show image of barbecued ribs sent to Noudga in reference to a party #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 30s31 seconds ago
That's it for Pillay's list of texts. He's asking now about time on a cell phone. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 23s24 seconds ago
Pillay asking about time/date stamps on cell phones.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes now
Phone needs to be set to synchronize with the network otherwise it could be off, Pillay suggests. Harrison agrees. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes now5 seconds ago
Re: deleted messages, Pillay suggests we don't know when they were deleted. Could've been at the time or later. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews now
Pillay establishes there is no way to tell when a message is deleted. No questions from #Smich lawyer

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 26s27 seconds ago
Harrison agrees--no way to tell. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 22s23 seconds ago
Pillay finished. Dungey has no questions. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 17s18 seconds ago
That's it for Pillay. No questions from Dungey. Crown has questions for re-examination. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 16s16 seconds ago
No cross by Smich defence team. Re-exam by Crown Tony Leitch. Establishing defence was given chance to select texts to show jury.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 16s17 seconds ago
Re: Crown "selecting" what messages were shown, Leitch says defence had access to all and that (1/2)

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 13s13 seconds ago
Crown Tony Leitch has witness explain the defence lawyers could have had the other messages included in the presentation, had they asked

by Adam Carter 3:11 PM

by Adam Carter 3:13 PM

Court now seeing a photo of what looks like ribs sent from the Millard iPhone on this day.
by Adam Carter 3:14 PM

Showing a photo of ribs sent? That is in incredibly bad taste, IMO.

Pretty pathetic that the only line of defense these guys have is "no, this is about the other BBQ." Pretty weak sauce IMO!

Given the ample evidence of premeditation, I wouldn't be surprised if this specific party was planned as a cover for their text msgs/images during that period.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 11s11 seconds ago
These shown by Pillay were the ones they picked from those that weren't included. Harrison agrees. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 24s24 seconds ago
Crown suggests that during this latest exchange we saw, Millard refers to the barbecue party in its full spelling--not as BBQ.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 21s21 seconds ago
Leitch also points out that the party reference is spelled barbecue. When the friends talk about the incinerator, they use acronym BBQ

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes now
And that it is only Kowalski who says "BBQ." Harrison agrees. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 20s20 seconds ago
Crown lawyer Tony Leitch reexamining witness, he zeroes in on spelling difference between "barbecue" and "BBQ" I noted earlier #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 7s7 seconds ago
Crown also asks if the word mission is used in this chunk of texts. Judge says no he won't allow that, not proper re-examination. #Bosma

The Crown now reexamining. Crown Tony Leitch asks if the defence had full report and could have presented any messages they wanted. Harrison says yes.
by Adam Carter 3:18 PM

Leitch also noting that Millard is using the word "barbecue" when talking about a meal, and not "BBQ." The texts we've seen referring to incinerator say "BBQ."
by Adam Carter 3:19 PM

Harrison is now finished. Goodman tells the jury we may go a little late today, but they won't be needed tomorrow as we'll be in legal arguments.
by Adam Carter 3:21 PM

In a case full of mystifying defense moves, why they would want to further associate their client with the idea of 'barbecue' is beyond me.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont now5 seconds ago
In text about party, Millard says "barbecue." In other texts Millard says "BBQ."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes now4 seconds ago
That's it from Crown. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 8s9 seconds ago
Greg Harrison is done. Next witness is retired OPP computer guy Jim Falconer. #Bosma

* this is his 2nd time up

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 25s25 seconds ago
Crown asks if word "mission" appears in party texts. Justice Goodman stops him says that is improper re-exam. Witness excused.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 21s21 seconds ago
Next up: Jim Falconer--we've heard from him already during this trial about digital evidence seized in the case. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 9s9 seconds ago
Judge tells jury we're sitting late today, but they're off tomorrow. Now up, Jim Falconer. #Bosma
