Because neither Steindorffer nor Howe had valid CA driver's licenses at the time of the crash, and neither should have been driving. Howe hasn't had one since 2007, and I think there's probably a very good reason that she lost it. I highly doubt driving on an Arizona license when she is a CA resident would cover her!!!

I guess if it was you sitting in that white Lexus with a valid CADL, you would still be alive because CADLs have magical powers that protect you from death?

Because clearly only CADLs have that power. AZDL's do not.

Whether they had driver's licenses or not, doesn't change the fact that both Lexus and Prius were rear ended.
And Jenner's car hit the Lexus and even possibly the Prius.
Driver's license or not driver's license isn't going to change that.

I don't believe Jenner's car hit the Prius. I think Howe's car did. Not having a license puts both her and Steindorffer even more at fault, they were both already breaking the law, IMO.

What would we look for?

Generally they would plug into the back of the vehicle.
So right around the trailer hitch/rear license plate you would see tubing.
That's the best way I can explain it.
I'd get a picture of ours but I don't have the trailer/truck here.

There should also be a safety CHAIN to "catch" the trailer if the hitch fails.
However, the "tubing" looking stuff will likely be the trailer brakes.
It's been a while since I saw the ones on our flat bed trailer like Bruce's though.

If Howe had valid Arizona driver's license, then she could legally drive in Ca. She was not breaking the law.
Car that rear ends other cars almost always considered at fault.
Driver needs to maintain a safe distance.
I don't see how this is going to be any different, no matter what Jenner says.

Sadly, I agree. He may well claim that "there was no way he could avoid hitting her, " but that's probably because he was not maintaining the appropriate safe distance, which, according to people who are experienced in pulling trailers, needs to be even further away.

No matter what else is said about this incident, it's really hard to get away from the fact that failure to maintain a safe distance will always put you in a difficult position when the issue of culpability is examined. I don't believe that the status of the deceased's driver's license negates BJ's duty and obligation to maintain a safe distance and practice care and caution when pulling such a heavy load.

She has established residency. She owns 4 properties and is a neighbor of the Kardashians. She lived in CA at the time of her death.

However, you cannot legally have a license in two states at one time.
I am guessing she was legally a resident of BOTH states since she owned property in AZ as well.
So if she lives 6 months in Arizona and 6 months in California... what does she do? :dunno:

For many people their second home is a "vacation home" so the decision is easy.
But for someone who actually has two potential full time residences this would be a good question. :twocents:

all I can say is ''ouch'' -- that's a lot of commitment.

sinus work and shaving down part of the brow......that just sounds painful to me.....MOO

Sad in a way - IMO, a man can never be a woman. Why go thru all the pain and bother? Perhaps because I am just happy when I have days without my body paining me, along with all sorts of fears of having to face I-don't-know-what, my opinion is such. After he does all he can, will he feel happy, or will it always be a frustration?

How can you possibly form an opinion on this subject without the benefit of undergoing a transition? How could I?

Personally, since I have no desire to be anything other than male, I'm not so arrogant as to think I can judge the the costs v. the benefits.

So I take those directly affected at their word. Well, their word and that of their doctors.

I won't judge anyone. I'm not an expert, but I've watched a couple of shows on the subject. It must be such torture to not feel comfortable in your body.

Wow, that is really something what can be done. And the pictures at least that he shared looked real, and not messed up. I can never understand how a very pretty person wants things done on their face, and then it turns out worse then what they looked like to begin with.

Agree. He appears to be a very talented surgeon

Interesting, in some of those photos it is hard to tell what, if anything was done.

In others it appears the jaw line and nose has changed. Regardless the changes have them looking like "real people" in those pics, whereas BJ's nosejob has him looking very artificial and IMO not like a woman, but more like he has had bad plastic surgery.

Some of us just can't fathom what the "big deal" is. I'm female but if I were born male that would be fine too. Of course there ARE differences, and part of me thinks it would be nice to have more physical strength and be less affected by mood/hormones.

But beyond that I see gender as very much being about sex, as in using it to GET sex with the partners/gender of your choice. When I intentionally dress or act in a "feminine" manner there is always a reason behind it, to attract partners, to use it in business, to talk a man into changing a tire, or even to calm animals. Without "the other" it doesn't exist.

If your gender does not hinder you with regard to attracting sexual partners (and in the Western world it doesn't) I don't get what the big deal is.

I am not saying others can't feel that way, I am simply saying that is how some of us feel and it is hard to understand why it is such an obsession for others.

I'm curious what his children think about all of this? We can all have comments over this, but the people that matter are his kids and what toll it has taken on them. His kids can say it is what he wants, and whatever else they are saying publicly, but is it really what they think?
