Fact is, car #2 (Lexus) and car #3 (Escalade) did the exact same thing. They both rear ended the car in front of them.

So if the Lexus driver tried to avoid the Toyota by turning her wheels to the left and then Bruce hit her while turning his wheels to the right then that would have led to her being pushed into the oncoming lane. That is my non-prof opinion.
Well, he isn't smoking a cigarette in this picture, I can assure you of that, hope they drug-tested him.

The moment of impact was captured by celebrity photographers who quickly posted the images on the Internet. Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials said there was no indication Jenner was being chased by paparazzi at the time of the crash.
Makes me wonder what did cause the accident, hey paparazzi did you all see anything, I mean you did take the pictures. I sure hope the accident or cause was not a set up. jmo idk
But the driver in the car in front of Lexus is fine. And the one rear-ended by Jenner is dead. If nobody was dead this wouldn't be that big of a deal, but the Lexus driver is dead.
February 8, 2015 1:09 PM MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — The woman killed in Saturday’s four-vehicle crash involving Bruce Jenner on Pacific Coast Highway was identified Sunday morning as a Calabasas resident.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Kim Howe, 69, was killed when her car was pushed into oncoming traffic during the chain-reaction crash on PCH, in front of a Latigo Beach campground.
The sheriff’s office confirmed the woman’s identification at midday Sunday after tabloids, quoting neighbors, had published her name. Family notifications were still taking place, according to the coroner’s office, which did not provide more than her age.
Five children and one adult were injured in the crash, authorities said.
Jenner’s Cadillac Escalade rear-ended a Lexus, driven by Howe, who had just struck another car that slowed down or stopped in front of hers several hundred feet short of the traffic signal at Corral Canyon Road for unknown reasons, authorities said. When the Lexus was pushed into oncoming traffic, it was struck head-on by a Hummer H2. more at link: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2015...oman-killed-in-malibu-crash-involving-jenner/
So the 1st car stopped way short, for unknown reasons, and was hit by the Lexus. Then Jenner hit the Lexus. Too bad that he went to the right in avoidance, because it sent the Lexus into oncoming traffic. It was an accident, but he must feel horrible. My prayers go out to the victims family.
I know, I was beginning to wonder if the 69-year-old had stopped because she had had a medical emergency like a heart attack. So sad, so tragic. Wonder now, if they will still file manslaughter charges because it was a chain-reaction collision. Anybody know? I'm sure this isn't the kind of publicity Bruce was envisioning, and I don't believe the Paparrazi were responsible and chasing him. They just happened to be in the area, and you are totally right about how dangerous of a road PCH is even when it's dry out. I grew up in LA.
I think it was attempting an illegal u turn. This happens alot.It would be interesting to know WHY the first car stopped short. If their was not a valid reason could that driver be held partly responsible?
Yeah, because it's an open highway without stop signals/signs IIRC, so you don't just stop, extremely dangerous. I was in a situation like that once in Mexico, they drive insane down there! It would be interesting to know WHY the first car stopped short. The woman who died wasn't in a first car. She was in a second car. It appears that the first car stopped for whatever reason, the second car bumped into it, the Mr. Jenner's car rear-ended the second car and sent it into oncoming traffic.
