I think we all have kinda denied but knew it was gonna start here - TSA is farce - they failed 67 out of 70 tests to get stuff through

I don't know what TSA means, but I think the security forces of every country that counts are behaving in a farcical manner. They seem to think that the answer is bombing another country. Its as if they're still stuck in the 1940s and they think they're facing Nazi Germany.

But the Nazis couldn't spread their insidious ideology across every country in the world through a computer. If they had been able to do that, no amount of bombing Dresden would have worked. I don't think our political leaders quite realise the implications of the 21st century.

I'm confused by what qualifies as a mass shooting for this map. I am also wondering where I can find a list of said shootings. There's a pretty big circle over my city but I can't recall hearing about a mass shooting here this year.

One thought I have is that this was a Christmas party and the father of the suspect said he was a devout Muslim. Could he have been attacking a Christian event?

Could be, but we don't have "Christmas" parties or school holiday breaks that are named Christmas breaks. It's a holiday party or winter break here in CA. We aren't allowed to even say it here. Kind of crazy if you ask me, but that is for another day/topic. We certainly don't do Christian events for the work place…ever!

A third person is in custody. Per Fox.

The press conference with the SB police chief I listened to driving home said the third person in custody may or may not be involved, just that he was detained running away from the scene.

Here, they are reporting it was a holiday banquet for the health workers:

And here, they talk about a Christmas party for the facility. (I think this is what has been a little confusing as to what was going on exactly).

Reuters has this latest update:

US Muslim advocacy group Cair (Council on American–Islamic Relations) condemns California shooting, says a relative of one of the suspects named in media reports will take part in news conference.

Several media outlets have reported a name in connection with the shooting. The Guardian is working to verify these reports.

Well, nothing really. It would hardly be accurate to say it started today, even if this does turn out to be Islamic extremism, because that wouldn't have started today. The World Trade Centre was bombed in 1993, then destroyed by hijacked planes in 2001, then there was the army base shooting and then the Boston bombing.

Let's face facts here, the American muslim population is just as much vulnerable to radicalisation as any European muslim population.
