I think one says JR's scent went into a field(up the embankment?) and AM's scent was traced to 20' in front of the vehicle.

Can anyone else verify?

These are the articles that mention the dogs following a scent. Some reports are that the scent went for 20 feet, some 50. I forget which report mentioned them going up the embankment--but that report seems off. And for those who are interested, apparently JDR was a surgical tech, in between gigs. Median annual pay for surgical techs is 44,330. There are hospitals near to where JDR lived.

Again, just for review. Not once has anyone in the know on this case--not even once--has any reliable source, LE, family or friends, mentioned the possibility that this was a drug related incident. This possibility has not even been hinted at.

There is zero evidence of cartel involvement (that we know of), or loan sharks or anything, really.

AM worked and was in school, and was extremely close to family and friends.

JDR was in between gigs, and was a surgical tech. And he is also reported to have been close to family and friends.

All we really know is that AM told her sister she was picking JDR up some time after 8:30 PM on Wednesday, May 10. Soon after leaving her sister, AM communicated with her mother that she was with JDR. And the next time anyone sees anything of the couple is when AM's SUV is found at 9 AM on Friday May 12, just west, of the Oak Valley Parkway exit, on the westbound side of I-10--right under the golf course that is there.

Neither AM or JDR are reported to have used their phones after midnight on the 10th. And AM didn't ping outside either Coachella, or East Coachella Valley or Indio--that's unclear.

But it would appear her cell absolutely did NOT ping in Beaumont, CA.

AM and JR probably met up with each other then came into contact with one or more bad people shortly after that at location 1, and then those people took AM and JR and ditched their phones at location 2, then abandoned the SUV on their way to taking AM and JR to a 3rd location.

I'm not being fresh or sarcastic... Does it really matter if drugs are involved? Two people have been taken against their will and continue to be missing. If it's because of a drug connection or not is relevant because it "might" help find them, but I sincerely doubt it would, especially at this point.

Moran's family describes her as a beautiful young lady with aspirations to work in the medical field...

I don't think (however I may be wrong & apologize if I missed that) I've ever read that AM was actively enrolled/attending school. Is it possible this tidbit could have been perceived as though she was?!

Reynoso, who is unemployed, doesn't drive, police said, and Moran, who works at a storage facility in Palm Desert, told family she was going to take him to his Palm Desert home.

It's stated in this article that AM worked at a storage facility.
In previous articles mom has advised that he was in between jobs as a surgical tech.

When Audrey didn't come home after class at College of the Desert, Maria got scared. At around 2:30 Friday morning out of desperation Maria contacted OnStar, the in car electronic tracking service, in hopes they'd give them the location of Audrey's SUV (a 2010, gray, GMC Terrain).

Stopped at Jack in the box on the way home last night on Calimesa off I10, pulling back onto the freeway heading east I noticed along the freeway a large shipping container w/ graffiti and one of the doors was opened, curious I pulled off Cherry Valley Blvd to look over the area.
Turned right on Cherry Valley and if you went straight there were new tract homes over the hill, turning right on Roberts road, (Frontage road for I10) was a different story, a very remote area with about 3 dumping locations, the container I saw was in a very creepy area as well as some of the abandoned areas, I never imagined that area to be such a war zone in my mentions here, I called the missing persons hotline and left a message about the area, it didn't make sense about where the SUV was until I saw this area, the very next exit, now I wish I had a trained canine..... I by myself and it was late , I did not want to look over the area without a partner.
