I believe he did lose a job after talking inappropriately with some of the students.

That's not what I'm saying at all. I just want the whole story. Not the Lacy/Tracey/Hutchens picture of JMK. That's all. And I want accurate media reports that aren't designed to generate public hysteria. And I don't want "setups" of JMK or anybody else for that matter.

We may never know the whole story. This is a disturbed man. His thinking isn't logical.

The fact that the media is turning him into some kind of star is a bit disgusting to me. But then I find alot of what the media does disgusting. This man should fade into obscurity. Of what interest is he anymore? What story is there to sell? He didn't kill JB. And according to some he is just an innocent victim. So why would his story be interesting?

What I think IS interesting is how the public and media is treating this whole thing. Karr now becomes just some poor misguided victim. I knew he would. The good guys are now the bad guys and the media can't seem to decide if they hate homosexual perverts or like homosexual perverts. If it's a congressman or a senator they are a danger to our children. If it's JMK he's a star and an interesting story! He'll be interviewed on Good Morning America and probably on Oprah next. He's just living an "alternative" lifestyle. He wants to have female characteristics. He just wants to be a woman. Why is everyone picking on him? So what if he likes little girls? He isn't hurting them. He just wants to give them a bath and tuck them into bed at night. Sure, he may have fantasized about killing one of them and sure, he may be fixated on the rape and murder of a few little girls. But so what? Can't a guy have a hobby?

He's just another pervert. I think some people went too far trying to get him behind bars on any pretext. They meant well but in our very permissive and liberal justice system it takes more than a few dirty pictures to get a pervert off the street. Who is JMK that the police would go through all of that effort and risk their careers to railroad him or set him up? JMK was a nobody when he was first arrested for this crime. I'm sure that CA had no interest in him before he was brought back to the US. I'm sure that the courts are full of these types of misdemeanors. Nothing new here. But can you just imagine the public outcry if they had said "well, we don't really think that we have a strong case so we aren't bothering" and they didn't extradite him and try to hold him on something? Can you just hear the screaming now?

He may not have molested or killed yet but just about everything I know about him points to the fact that it wouldn't be that much of a leap to believe he is capable of it. I guess we'll just have to wait until he does.

Sometimes I think we create our own monsters.

This one short story in today's San Francisco Chronicle Matier and Ross column:

Police say they've been told to roust homeless

"Karr backfire: There was quite a back story and backlash to that episode Friday in which John Mark Karr -- he of the bogus JonBenet Ramsey murder confession -- showed up in a limo with two ABC News producers at the Convent of the Sacred Heart school in San Francisco after he beat a kiddie-*advertiser censored* rap in Sonoma County.

Officials at the tony Pacific Heights parochial school, where Karr once worked briefly as a teacher's aide, called the cops after spotting Karr wandering around outside the campus and peering into windows.

Karr and the two producers got back into their limo and drove off, only to be stopped a block away by the police. Officers jotted down their names, but because no kids were in class and no laws were broken, nobody was arrested.

But the fallout continues.

School director Pam Hayes fired off a note to parents assuring them that "a police report has been filed and our lawyers are seeking a restraining order."

And indeed, school reps met with their lawyers Tuesday -- but then had second thoughts, fearing the legal maneuver would only generate more media attention.

"It is a provocation," parent Ron Bannerman said of Friday's episode. "ABC is only feeding a sick mind's need for attention. This (news) team should be fired. Apologies should be forthcoming."

ABC News senior vice president Jeffrey Schneider said he understood the furor -- and that nothing went the way it was supposed to Friday, including the stop at the school. "Our producers were frankly shocked when Karr jumped out of the car," he said.

The two producers phoned their bosses in New York after the cop stop -- and according to Schneider, "the plug was pulled then and there on any interview with John Mark Karr."

"We were extremely upset by the circumstances and apologize for what happened," Schneider said.

As for Karr, who was supposed to fly with the producers to New York for his big prime-time interview? The producers escorted him only as far as Reno, where his brother lives, then bailed."

This is one of the more interesting articles. I have gotten interested in this Larry Garrison guy as a direct result of the John Mark Karr debacle. I think everyone should be terrified of how our 'news' is made by people such as Garrison.

Yeah right. The only thing they were surprised about was getting caught and the brouhaha that followed. They certainly weren't thinking about "the children" when they brought this sick pervert onto school grounds. What were they going to do next? Help him pick out a little girl and then film the molestation? I wouldn't put anything past these people. They passed the point of any kind of deceny or morality a long time ago.

I hope there is a huge public outcry if any of these media *advertiser censored* tries to make a star out of JMK. And I don't blame the school for wanting to pursue legal avenues with these people. Serves them right. I'll bet that if there hadn't been an uproar they'd still be chauferring this creep around and feeding his sick fantasies.

These types of shows are one of the few places that the public has alot of power. Refuse to watch them anymore. They can't survive without ratings.

Portions of the TV psychiatrist's interview with Karr were aired Friday on NBC's "Today" show with more to come in the next few days. Karr, briefly a suspect in the death of child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, was freed from a California jail earlier this month when a child *advertiser censored* case against him fell apart.

Karr's creepy celebrity made him a wanted man in the ratings-obsessed television world. He chose to give his first extended interview to Ablow, a therapist and self-help book author in the first year of a show designed to compete with "Dr. Phil." It is scheduled to air on Tuesday.

"I am baffled as to why anybody would consider this anything other than a public health or communications victory for the American people and for parents everywhere," Ablow told The Associated Press."

"Ablow denied a report in The New York Post that Karr was given alcohol before his interview. Karr asked for white wine and was given white grape juice instead, he said. He was "stone cold sober" and answered questions with no words slurred, Ablow said."

"Ablow's syndicated show has been on for a month and its ratings are roughly 25 percent lower than what was airing in its time slots a year earlier, said Bill Carroll, a syndication market expert for Katz Television. Those are the kind of numbers that put a show's survival in doubt — unless it gets a jolt of attention, he said.

Ablow said he's willing to debate anyone at any time about the propriety of giving Karr and his views a platform. The more people who know about Karr and what he thinks, the better, he said. To have the chance and not do it, his show "would have been complicit in any abuse suffered by a young girl in the future at his hands," he added."

And to give him one cent to further his desire to become a woman, which is probably the first thing he'll do is finish the treatment and have a new oriface created, just makes me plumb mad.

I don't care if God really created him to be a woman, and so now he has that insatiable urge to turn into one, as best as he can. When he talks obout little girls as I heard him on those tapes talking about JonBenet, it positively makes me sick!
