I'm really trying to figure out why she hasn't been arrested yet, myself. Maybe LE thinks she will be more co-operative if they 'play nice.' Maybe there are some mental health issues at play here. I just hope they know what they are doing.
I don't believe for one minute this baby died by accident. IMO, there is no caring parent on this planet who would immediately accept their child was dead, and just toss them like garbage. IMO, if convicted, these parents who do this should be given mandatory LWOP or the death penalty. I am so disgusted.

I have wrote the reporter for the local paper that covered the funeral, just out curiousity to see if there has been any info on cause of death. Don't know what I expect them to come back and say but thought it might put a fire under their azz and they might do some follow-up/investigating. Anyway, gave it a shot.

You know I was sitting here thinking 3 or 4 years ago a tradegy happened at a daycare here. A child was ACCIDENTLY left in the daycare van during extreme heat(she thought someone else had got the child out) and unfortunately that child died. She was arrest immediately and charged. They sure didn't wait for the DA's official to decide. Now we have a mom that INTENTUALLY DUMPED her child on the side of the road, LIED to law enforcement, wasted valuble law enforcement resources not to mention the Amber Alert and she is able to sit at home and play on myspace... I just don't get it.
Maybe I should contact Geraldo Rivera..

So...now I'm wishing I'd copied all of Stacey's friends names, name by name, on March 20, when I posted the above and was initially searching her Myspace information, b/c now she's got 39, so she's added 5, and of the 39, one has been "deleted" as of today, taking her back down to only 38, which you can see by clicking here:

So I can tell, at a minimum, that between 3-20-09 and today, for some reason, Stacey and CAsSandra are no longer Myspace "friends,"
and CAsSandra's Feb 20 Myspace comment, which I'd copied on 3-20-09, is no longer in the myspace comments on Stacey's page.

Maybe CAsSandra's the deleted "friend" I'm seeing (er, unable to see) today, or maybe she was deleted earlier and someone else was also deleted today...

From personal experience I believe that means that the person deleted their entire myspace, not that they deleted Stacey as a friend or that she deleted them as a friend. What I found to be even more interesting though is that while Brendon (Stacey's boyfriend) is still her #3 friend he has moved both Stacey and her brother Nick to page 5 on his friends list. Out of 193 friends he has Stacey in the 190th spot. hmmm

Yeah your right, the red X means that person deleted their account from myspace. Also, you can only arrange the order of your displayed friends. (your top friends).. I believe after that, myspace arranges the order based on your sign up date. So the later you sign up, the further down you will appear on a friend list, unless you are in someone's "top friends". Do you know for a fact that Brendon is still her BF? Is this Mr NASCAR? For some reason, I dont get the feeling they are still together from some of his pics (unless theyre old)- I saw pics of Stacey on the front page, but there are other girls there also. :waitasec:

Im SOOO frustrated with this case- Interesting thing- Out of the list of frinds that Chezire made (Thank you for that :blowkiss, not one person besides Nick says anything in memorium to sweet Emma Leigh.

STILL- No local news on this on TV or Newspaper.

I do have one question for any of you smart sluethers~ Do you think she will be charged by the PD where Emma was found, or the SD where she 'staged' her accident? The reason I ask is that Emma was found in the San Fernando Valley and Stacey 'staged' her accident in Antelope Valley. Im not familiar with either dept being THAT FREAKING BUSY that can not charge this with something. There is a HUGE list of charges (already discussed in prior posts) Stacey is guilty of whether Emma was murdered or not. One is ran by city police nad the other Sherriffs Dept. Does anyone see this as a reason it could trip up the investigation for this long?

I called the local PD where Emma was found and was told "No Info is being released to the public at this time".

WTF IS REALLY GOING ON?? (I thought is I used CAPS, maybe LE would hear me..lol)

From what I've learned on the crime shows that I watch...lol...LE in the county that the crime took place in are responsible for the investigation.

It may be that LE does not have this answer yet, and that is why she has not been arrested. I believe Bobbi is correct in that the charges will come from the agency that has jurisdiction WHERE the baby was killed. We know there are at least two agencies involved here - where the baby was found and where Stacey was found. There could possibly be a 3rd agency if the baby was killed in yet another jurisdiction.

I do believe the different agencies have some leeway in who takes the lead. However those decisions are usually based on economics and politics. Murder trials are expensive as are investigations.

I just hope they figure something out soon and get this chickypoo behind bars!

Im guessing the parents must know people. Its does not make since why this is not in the news as much as it should be. Killing your child along with abuse is the worst thing, but to just throw a body out because its passed away from a MOTHER is horrible. I don't care how old you are, growing up you learn whats right and wrong children have acted better than her in accident case where they called 911. Like a previous post above, it would take alot for me to be convince my child has passed. I guess I want the truth of what happen. I think we all deserve that for Emma.

I agree I think they know someone,also I noticed that Emma's father was not mentioned in her obituary. The father and his family have a right to some answers on the question of what happened to Emma.

Is this a change in her MySpace page? her profile now makes it sound like GOD just reached down and plucked this little baby right out of her family's arms because he needed to beautify his garden of old people. Yeah, not buying it. I believe myself to be a decent Christian, but if my baby were suddenly "called home" I do believe I'd be doing some ranting and railing. Her acceptance of the situation aside from seeming over simplified doesn't feel natural to me.
