I know that you were trying to help her but I guess she is just to angry to hear. She may be in for a rude awakening when this case goes to trial. Right now she isn't ready to hear or even think that her friend may have murdered her baby girl. I wonder what she thinks of her friend dumping her baby on the side of the road like that? I'm sure she has an excuse for that too.

We read about so many of these cases that it really isn't hard to figure out most of them. Some are surprises and we are off base but not really that often. Everything about this case screams murder.

I would like to know more about this baby girl too. We know quite a bit about Caylee..that precious little girl but not about this little one. This one sure is a cutie though. I'll bet she had a cute little personality too. Every time I read about one of these cases I wonder how many more I can read about. Each case takes something out of me. I look at the videos of Caylee and it just kills me. Such sweet precious little kids their lives snuffed out in a split second. It just isn't right that it keeps happening almost on a daily basis.

I sent her a note also but mine isn't up yet either. :highfive: I basically said everything noted in the last few posts, I explained people are frustrated and she needs to respect that.

After reading her reply to you, I went really easy on her. I'm sure she is confused and conflicted. Then probably feels guilty about it too. She's young and is about to lose her best friend to life in prison. :runaway:

Under the circumstances, most of those posts aren't all that bad, we've certainly read worse in the love letters people send to all the A's! :rage:

The thing I don't understand and I don't think I ever will is the attitude. When I was preggers with my #1, I had a friend I met through our hubbies. She had just had her #3, her dh was in Antarctica. I hadn't heard from her in a couple weeks, she lived on post so I couldn't just drop by and there was a problem with the phones. Come to find out she could call out fine, but wasn't getting calls. Any way while I didn't hear from her she, her #1 & #2 all had pneumonia. Then her 6 week old baby got sick over night (she didn't know) and in the morning he just didn't wake up. And I was so angry with her, I could have taken him while they were sick (room was already set up for mine due in a month). I had already kept the kids for her at times. I just couldn't understand how she could keep that new born babe in the house with 3 sick people and it seemed negligent to me. She had other issues going on and she let those issues cause the death of her baby. I felt that then and still do now. Negligence is negligence, whether your baby gets sick from lack of care or your toddler has an overdose from the parent giving meds designed for something else. I just think parents have a responsibility to put the best interest of their kids first and too many seem not to do that. OK sorry rant over. :)
 
If that young lady wants to stand by her BFF side forever and ever. Fine. I don't care as I'm sure most of you don't either.

Engaging in an argument on the internet with total strangers, reflects exactly how immature she is, and honestly seems kind of "nutcase-ish" IMHO.

She could spend her time and energy in a much more focused way...'nuf about that misguided young lady.

Today is the day that SB gets arraigned. I'll be watching that and the trial with great interest. Justice for Emma.
 
Well KABC news is reporting that Stacy will be arraigned today so maybe they will be up here for the arraignment. News at 11 A.M. pacific time.

Will we get to watch the arraignment? Where?
 
I guess we know now exactly what was revealed in the autopsy and that they were just waiting to make sure Emma had no drugs in her system before charging her Mother with murder.

Assault. That makes me so mad.
 
And one more thing...can you tell I"m worked up? Someone needs to ask her BFF how exactly do you assault a child to death, throw that child in the weeds 50 miles away from home and call it an accident?
 
Whatcha wanna bet she was having boyfriend trouble, Emma was tired, hungry, hot whatever and wasn't being the quiet baby but a typical toddler... and Stacy took her angry out on her.

Why Kat, dontcha know the investigation was tainted and if there was any bruising it was from Stacy trying to give CPR... because we all know that STACY wouldn't hurt her baby! BS

I think her friends need to crawl back under the rock they came from.
 
It was reported on KABC news, but no new footage and they are still reporting she is do to be arraigned this morning so obviously they were not at the arraignment.

Prosecutors filed murder and other charges Monday against a woman suspected of killing her 18-month-old daughter, whom she initially claimed was taken from her in a violent kidnapping.

Stacey Marie Barker, 24, was also charged with assault on a child causing death and child abuse, according to the district attorney's office. She was expected to be arraigned Monday in Lancaster.

Glad to see this woman has finally been charged! Wonder if NG will pick up on this case?

What is going on with the young moms in our country? Why are they killing their babies?

I would like to know more about Stacey?Is she like KC? Is there something we as a country should be on the look out for in these young mothers to keep this from happening?

Stacey Barker, 24, is charged with one count each of murder, assault on a child causing death and child abuse, according to the District Attorney's office.
The complaint alleges that Barker willfully caused and permitted the child to be injured and harmed and that injury resulted in death.

So, anyone know what she did to abuse assault her to get charged with a seperate charge of assault? I hope that eats at her forever more- What a waste of precious life for BOTH baby and mom! :(

Trying to imagine what Stacey could have done to Emma.

IIRC, when little Emma's body was recovered, I thought LE said no obvious sign of "trauma". I'll have to look back to make sure of that.

Hopfully soon we will find out the truth of this tragedy.

My guesses would be strangulation, smothering, beating with an object or fists, shaking the baby violently causing a head injury or purposely dropping or kicking the baby.

Don't mean to sound graphic, but the charges are very serious, and I pray that Emma did not suffer for very long.

I'm also thinking of some kind of internal head injury. I think an autopsy would be able to say if it was strangulation or smothering of some kind.


BTW, I just saw her on channel 9 in court for her arraignment..should be up later on their website.

Good Lord, can't an obsessed poster go to a dr. appointment without missing something?

This news sickens me, now the murder 2 charge makes complete sense.

I was half way hoping that it WAS an accident due to negligence, but the monster assaulted that beautiful angel.

Please, please, please let us know when anyone finds a link to the arraignment.

ETA: Amber B better watch her attitude tonight, I'm furious!!!!:furious:
