Probably wouldn't have worked anyway - with the economy such as it is, we'd break in only to find moths in the vault.

I still think he flipped out over some minor infraction of Hasanni's and wailed on him until he died. He seems to have such a rigid, domineering way about him. UGH. He must have been feeling a lot of pressure being Mr. Mom and having a new child on the way, a big house to support and apparently no real job. Probably lack of a job was really eating at him.
But again, I could be wrong.

Oakland attorney John Burris said he's not surprised that the Alameda County District Attorney's office isn't filing any charges against 30-year-old Jennifer Campbell, the boy's foster mother and aunt, because he believes "there was no factual basis for her to be arrested."
Burris said being arrested was traumatic for Campbell, who is six months pregnant, and caused her "a great deal of emotional harm."
Do I smell a lawsuit in the air? I truly hope not!!!!!!!!!

I also find myself a little concerned about having this board become a PR platform for her, and, possibly, through her, LR.
I am not sure I buy abuse as an adequate defense for not protecting a child, anyway, frankly.
I have seen personal friends of accused people really cause a lot of havoc on here before, because it effectively ends discussions that don't result in being sympathetic on the accused/suspect with friends here and putting all the blame on the accused/suspect who doesn't.
Good thing she's near Hollywood; she'll likely be in a neck brace next week.
Speaking of privacy, do we all need the witness protection plan coverage now if LR comes back on to snoop? Oops--I didn't really ask that.:HBwhiteflag:

"OAKLAND, Calif. -- The foster mother of missing five-year-old Hasanni Campbell was released from custody Monday after authorities determined they did not have enough evidence to charge her in his disappearance and apparent death.
Jennifer Campbell, 33, and her boyfriend, Louis Ross, 38, were both arrested Friday after Oakland investigators ruled the boys disappearance was a homicide.
But hours before her first scheduled court appearance, Assistant District Attorney Tom Rogers said there was insufficient evidence to charge her at this time. However, Ross remained in custody on suspicion of homicide charges.
Oakland attorney John Burris said he wasn't surprised that the Alameda County District Attorney's office wasn't filing any charges against Campbell because he believes "there was no factual basis for her to be arrested."
Burris said being arrested was traumatic for Campbell, who is six months pregnant, and caused her "a great deal of emotional harm." He had visited Campbell and Ross Sunday in jail, in attempt to assist them in locating a criminal defense attorney."

And why would he be doing this exactly?

Is this normal proceedure for a lawyer to be an 'advisor' without claiming the accused as clients.
My lawyer has 'Attorny at law' on his office door (not Advisor)
And the only free advice he has ever given, in 20 years, was two things:
#1 If you think you might need a lawyer, you probably do
#2 I advise you to pay my bill on time.
(PS He is a great guy with a good sense of humour)
Yep, here we go---what a coincidence there's a lawyer so handy.
Mama says every time a municipal purse rings, a lawyer gets his briefs.
