Update at 1:48 p.m.: Residents of the quiet Lake Tahoe neighborhood where Jaycee Lee Dugard was kidnapped 18 years ago are surprised and overjoyed that she has apparently turned up and is alright.

"To have someone disappear like that and then be found, it's just awesome," said Debbie Tuttle, who lives on a street adjoining the one where Dugard was kidnapped in 1991.

"It had this town in an uproar," Tuttle said.

Probyn said the agent on the phone identified himself and said, "We've got Jaycee."
Terry then had a phone conversation with the woman authorities believed to be her long-lost daughter, a conversation that left Terry "positive" that Jaycee was home, Probyn said.

He said his wife thought Jaycee sounded normal and not like she was mistreated over the last 18 years. Terry said that "(Jaycee) remembered a lot," according to Probyn, who was in "complete shock that (Jaycee) is alive."

Terry Probyn told Carl that the FBI didn't get into where Jaycee was or who she was with for the past 18 years, but said "she was with some people and...they are in custody." Probyn said he had no idea about the identity of those "people."

'91 Tahoe Kidnap Victim Found In East Bay

Lt. Les Lovell of the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said the case unfolded Wednesday when a woman came into the Concord police station and said she was the victim of the abduction 18 years ago.

Dugard's stepfather, Carl Probyn, said the news was like winning the lottery.

"To have this happen where we get her back alive, and where she remembers things from the past, and to have people in custody is a triple win," he said in an interview Thursday.

The Megan's Law database said Phillip Garrido has a prior conviction for rape by force or fear and Antioch police told CBS 5 that he is currently a suspect in an on-going elder abuse investigation.

"He's a real creep," said one officer, who asked not to be identified.

Phillip Garrido also wrote a blog in recent years full of rambling passages in which he claims he can speak in tongues unknown to mankind.

"The Creator has given me the ability to speak in the tongue of angels in order to provide a wake-up call that will in time include the salvation of the entire world," he wrote in one of the many blog posts reviewed by CBS 5.

Investigators on Thursday collected evidence at the Garridos' home at 1554 Walnut Avenue in Antioch, which is where authorities indicated Dugard may have been living.

Helen Boyer, who also lives on Walnut Avenue, said she had known the Garridos for a while but had never met Dugard.

"They were very good neighbors, this is a shock to me," Boyer said.

Lt. Lovell said investigators had worked the case consistently since the girl was abducted and followed leads that had surfaced over time.

But Lovell concluded, "This is not the normal resolution to a kidnapping... You bet it's a surprise."

Can someone post the sketch that was drawn of Nancy when Jaycee was kidnapped so we can compare the sketch to her mugshot?

So we know of two children who we think may be Jaycee's, but the Fox article stated that she bore "several" children. To me, that means more than just two. It makes me wonder where these children are.
