I simply cannot believe LE won't hand over the phone records or help search for Lisa. Knowing she was given wrong directions should be grounds for an all out search. I fear the worst. I feel so bad for her family.

What would be the reason for withholding? Is there evidence she made it to her destination and then left?

I'm so confused why this continues to linger. :(

I don't know. It sounded like neither Palmdale nor Kern County wanted to be responsible. For that, if she is located deceased, they should both be held accountable legally.

Absolutely, they should be held accountable.

This a MOTHER, a DAUGHTER, a FRIEND, a COUSIN, a RELATIVE. How could LE be so insensitive to not "want responsibility".

The last thing read is they are trying to move it back to Ventura PD because the other two agencies won't help. I also read that police will not search for her until she has been missing for 30 days. Which to me is fine, RELEASE THE PHONE RECORDS THEN!!! The family has already proven they are willing to search on their own, they just need to know where to look.

I did NOT continue with a case map because I just don't know the area. I was trying to read back over comments to see where people said they searched but it was so general, I couldn't locate exactly where on a map and I don't want to put out any kind of false information. I know things get taken from WS and used other places from time to time (eye roll). But just in looking at a map to see if I could figure it out, there is such a LARGE area to be searched between her last KNOWN ping and Lake Isabella. I feel so sorry for the family :(

That her car hasn't even been spotted makes me thing she wrecked into an area that isn't seen easily from the road. We had a situation out by my house where a lady ran off the road and was stuck there for a day in her car. She didn't have a phone with her and finally found the strength to get herself out and crawl somewhat up the road. She had a flashlight and was waving it and someone spotted her. Our roads aren't that steep and no one saw the wrecked car. It doesn't have to be a huge drop off to have this happen.

I agree. And the areas are all remote no matter which way she traveled.

And I know I keep harping on this "searching south of Palmdale" thing, but no one seems to have addressed it. Something in me thinks she realized the gas station guy said Elizabeth and not Isabella and she somehow knew heading north was wrong. And if she truly thought she was in Tulare, I don't think it's that far fetched to think she headed south out of Palmdale.

She should not have been driving. Not at night, not alone, possibly not at all.

LE cannot always just release an individuals phone records - those records are private and only belong to the individual who made the calls and the phone company. Some states have laws in this regard... So, I'm sure the police have had to obtain a subpoena to get them.

a friend of mine flipped his car in the Hesperia area on a cloverleaf and was badly injured (ended up having back surgery behind it) his phone flew in the wreck and he couldn't find it. he had to army crawl all the way back up to the road because no one saw him. it took him hours. :(

Maybe they've made contact with her and she's choosing to stay away?

I've had that thought too since it's not urgent but do you think they would at least tell the family that?? She's filed as missing so I would ASSUME (I have no idea) they would tell the family contact was made and take her off the missing list??? There has been no activity on anything from her though, banking, cell is dead, etc, but the biggest flag to me is as much as her flyer is being spread, no one has reported seeing her car. Not to say it can't be parked and hidden somewhere but that's what leads me to think wreck vs her hiding.

Ugh.....where are you Lisa???

I live in the Tehachapi area, which is between Palmdale and Bakersfield via hwy 58. I'll keep an eye out around here.

I still believe she had an auto accident too.

But no, LE does not have to inform anyone that a person has been located. She has the right to her privacy. Is she listed as missing anywhere other than flyers in social media?

I'm not sure, I just know they reported her missing with police. And I read that the police won't search for her until 30 days have passed so maybe police are waiting for that time until the do anything.

I cannot imagine it being my mom and not being able to do anything. I would be crushed.

That's a ridiculous policy! I can't believe LE would let someone die because they won't search for 30 days. Seriously?

And they won't release the phone records because no one wants to take ownership?

We need to review some LE policies from that area and start firing people.

Could she have taken highway CA-178 through the canyon towards Lake Isabella? That canyon is so treacherous. Maybe she took the long way round...
