We're all waiting. I never thought someone would've headed for the Tijuana / San Ysidro border crossing, but you never know. I just don't believe someone is so smart as to not leave clues and evidence, and sometimes real evidence is missed. JMO, and all MOO, but gee, LM did so many things from Day #1 that should've alerted CVPD to consider a more thorough investigation right away. There was that ten hour trip LM made. The holes in the wall. What ever became of that freezer Uncle took? The guns, the trying to hire someone, the consuming jealousy and control, the not even putting on an act to look for her. It's not evidence, but it sure reeks. I wonder if the DA is holding back on the go ahead. Praying for the day we see an arrest.

US to reopen land borders in November for fully vaccinated (10news.com)
"WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration says the U.S. will reopen its land borders to nonessential travel next month, ending a 19-month freeze due to the COVID-19 pandemic."
You summed it up very well. I can only speculate that LE is waiting on some additional piece of evidence to move forward to an arrest. At least I hope so.

I contrast Maya's case to others that are getting far more attention, and it's really sad. While it is almost a certainty that Maya has passed, there are three small children remaining whose living situation is concerning, given what we know. What is to become of them?

It may be time for watchdog organizations to get involved to insure a vigorous approach is being taken to resolve this case. Given the time lapse, it would seem prudent.

Amateur opinion and speculation

CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Larry Millete has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the disappearance of his wife May “Maya” Millete, police said Tuesday.

Maya has been missing since Jan. 7, when she disappeared from her family’s home on Paseo Los Gatos in Chula Vista. Her husband was the only person of interest named by police in the case.

Police have served three search warrants at the family home since her disappearance more than nine months ago, with an additional search conducted at a Millete family member’s home. Police filed a gun violence restraining order against Larry Millete in May, with a detective requesting the order “to protect the public and prevent harm to the respondent or others.”

Just saw the news and came right over. Justice! Do you think they’ve found Maya or other evidence that finally was enough to make the arrest? If she hasn’t been found do any of y’all think he’d tell for a deal?

LM will never talk -- he's not going to admit to his children or his parents that he ended Maya's life. He's very similar to Barry Morphew.

This was good police work -- keeping quiet, building the circumstantial case, one brick at a time.
