I've been looking into the Newhall, CA Jane Doe and I've seen some women that fit the timeline, description and could be possible identities. I came across them on Namus.
Some have already been mentioned in the thread.
Cecile Frances Moch: Moch was last seen in Santa Barbara, California on August 7th, 1980. She was 19 years old at the time of her disappearance. She is white and her hair is described to be “light brown to blonde.” She has pierced ears, with 3 holes on the left. She is 5’3” and 100 lbs. Her AMC Gremlin was found abandoned in the Santa Ynez Mountains northeast of Santa Barbara.
Pictures of Cecile can be found here because I cannot paste more than 5 photos in this.
Khymbrly Marcella Scruggs: Scruggs was last seen Sacramento, California on January 12, 1980. She was 19 years old at the time of her disappearance. She is white with shoulder length, sandy hair and brown eyes. She is 5’6” and 115 lbs. She has a chipped front tooth. (Which tooth is unclear.) She was attending Sacramento State University and lived with her roommate in an apartment. On January 13th, the day after she was last seen, Khymbrly’s roommate came home to find all of her personal items in the apartment and she did not show up for work. She has not been heard from since. A neighbor to Khymbrly reportedly had cuts and scratches on his body after her disappearance but sufficient evidence to convict the suspect was never found.
Kimberly Ann Kahler: Kahler was last seen on January 1st, 1980 in Venice, California (some sources say Marina Del Rey, California) in the company of an unknown male. She was 15 years old when she disappeared. She is white with freckles and a small scar on her upper left lip. She appears to have blonde hair with blue eyes. She is 5’8” and 145 lbs. Many details about her disappearance is unknown.
Those are the 3 women I am most confident in being a match. I found 3 more that could possibly be our doe but its a bit of a stretch, with 2 of the women being from the other side of the country in New Hampshire.
Adrianna Gilliam: Gilliam was last seen on June 22nd, 1979 in San Jose, California. She was 19 years old at the time of her disappearance. She is white with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 5’8” and 110 lbs. Gilliam worked for a temp agency as a nursing assistant and never came home from a shift. Her S/O (Gary Johnson) said that Adrianna came from an abusive home and was a caregiver to her many siblings. Johnson claimed that a prison informant lied to authorities and told them he had admitted to Gilliam's murder. He was charged and brought to trial in California. Several of Gilliam's family members testified that they believed Johnson was responsible for her death. He was convicted of her murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Her body has never been located.
Denise Ann Daneault: Daneault was last seen at 1:30 am June 8th, 1980 in Manchester, New Hampshire. That night she was drinking at a club. Two men say they spoke with her as she was leaving the Merrimack club, one said that Daneault planned on going to a party that night. She was 25 at the time of her disappearance. She is white with light brown hair and green eyes. She is 5’5”-5’6” and 135-140lbs. Daneaut lived only a few doors down from suspected serial killer Terry Peder Rasmussen. He is believed to be responsible for the murders of 5 women (7 including Daneault and Rahn). The 5 are Denise Beaudin, who vanished in Goffstown, NH in 1981 and was never found. As well as four female murder victims found in the Bear Brook State Park who were likely killed between 1978 and 1981.
Laureen Ann Rahn: Rahn was last seen April 26th, 1980 in her own apartment. She was 5’4” and 90lbs. At the time of the disappearance she was 14 years old with brown hair and blue eyes. She lived with her mother, Judith Rahn, in a third-floor apartment on Merrimack Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. Judith's then-boyfriend and Judith were out of town at a tennis tournament when Laureen disappeared. That evening, Laureen and 2 friends were drinking in the apartment. One friend later stated he heard voices in the hallway and left through the back door because he thought Laureen's mother was coming home and he was afraid he would get in trouble. He heard Laureen lock the door behind him. When she arrived home at midnight, she noticed that the light bulbs in hallways on all three floors of the apartment building had been unscrewed and everything was dark. Her own apartment's front door was unlocked. Judith checked Laureen's room and thought she saw her in bed. In the morning, however, Judith discovered that it was not Laureen, but her friend asleep in her room. Laureen was gone, her clothes and brand new sneakers were in the living room, and the back door was open. Her friend stated she'd last seen her sleeping on the couch. Her disappearance took place 6 weeks and 2 blocks away from Denise Ann Daneault's, making Rasmussen a suspect in her disappearance as well.
