I saw the man in the hooded jacket behind LE. I was so distracted by watching him. He kept rubbing his beard and shifting his hands in his pockets and also was in almost constant movement. Glad someone else saw this too.

Hopefully someone in the police department noticed too.

He may be the one I saw laughing earlier before the press conference that ticked me off. I would assume he is either with one of the news organizations or with the TPD. He isn't suspicious to me...but disrespectful, imo.

sigh....a presser with no answers....but, at least, they are giving pressers. Unlike the Haleigh case.

Way back, there was a map of the MH park that I saw. Maybe not here, maybe over at inSession. Had the street names and where the clubhouse is and where Sandra was in the video. That map showed her nowhere near her house. Confused me then, confuses me now...

I really do think they know who is responsible for this, but they need to put the pieces together before it is released to the public. could mess up their case. Again, that guy seems pretty shaky and he's not even a reporter. Maybe they should turn the mikes on him!

I think that hooded guy is with the media or has something to do with the equipment.

I wish they wouldn't bother with the pressers if there's NO NEW INFO that they can share. Seems that they would wait until there was some actual NEWS in the case. If I have to hear, "i can't speculate on that" again... *sigh*

It's good that they are keeping her name out there and asking for tips.

Sgt Sheneman speaking now.
• focusing on NO SPECIFIC person at this time.
• looking to identify killer or killers
• has heard SPECULATION about a stolen suitcase, but they have NO REPORT of stolen luggage.
• can't reveal how luggage got to the pond.
• Tracy Police have a liason with the family all day (not evening)
• No plans at this time for any Search Warrants today.
• Police are NOT done interviewing anyone
• All search warrants previously issued are sealed, any new search warrants will be sealed.

This is the part that caught my ear. Where did we hear that the suitcase was stolen.

I did a search at find your neighbors. Unit 88 is listed with a land line in the name of C. Plummer. (middle aged female). I don't know how accurate that listing is, if someone could go behind me and either confirm or prove it incorrect I will appreciate it very much.

Yay. They've arrested one of the 60. Go get 'em Tracy cops.

TRACY, CA - The Tracy Police Department arrested a softball coach on charges of possessing child *advertiser censored*.

James Spencer Hagelston, 41, was arrested at his Tom Fowler Court home Tuesday. Sergeant Tony Sheneman said detectives confiscated a computer from the home that contained pornographic movies that featured girls under the age of ten engaged in sex acts with adult men.

Sheneman said the arrest is due in large part to sophisticated technology that allows police to flag and track *advertiser censored*.

"There is a group of dedicated investigators that have put together something called a tool kit that tracks specific images and videos on the internet," said Sgt. Sheneman. "We can run a check on those images and if they're being downloaded onto an IP address in Tracy we can find out where they're being downloaded."

Sheneman said investigators are concerned that children in the community may have been inappropriately approached by Hagelston.

"Mr. Hagelston's wife has a daycare that is operated out of her home," said Sgt. Sheneman. "He was also last year the coach of a 10 and under girls' softball team and is also a consultant with a company that does work with the school districts."

Theresa James lives next door to Hagelston. "I'm in shock," she said of his arrest. "It makes me so sad for his wife. She was a day care lady and we wanted our kids in the daycare."

James said the Hagelston's have three children of their own and seemed like a "normal family."

Detectives are still investigating the case. Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective Nate Cogburn with the Tracy Police Department at (209) 831-6617.

There is a man in a dark blue raincoat who looks extremely suspicious to me.. he keeps hiding his face. Wonder who he is??
if I wouldn't have had my head pressed onto the speaker of my puter I might have seen that! (nurse needs to question her son as to where her headphones are!!)

I think you guys are a bit too suspicious. LOL I agree he is with either the news media or the TPD. (I also think he was cold.)

You probably are right SS. He did look like he was trying to lean in many times to perhaps be on camera/TV. That would be disrespectful too. He still creeped me out though!

I beleive this case is solved and in a pretty quick manner. Those other recent cases in the news??? People will do anything to get on headlines, talk shows, tabloids to make a buck. Look at the lady with all the kids, the two cases in florida (imo)

I guess the community is up in arms about security and the probability of the perp to be one of their own. Being on WS, we are aware it happens all too frequently across the country.

Protecting our children starts at home by not allowing them to roam freely, imo. Sandra was a vulnerable target by wandering around in the mhp alone, unfortunately.

Yes, and it seemed so desolate there when she walking around on the video. But, lots of kids still roam or are unattended and parents don't seem to worry too much. I have found a little 6 year old neighbor girl standing alone in my mother's very quiet/empty neighborhood, on SEVERAL occasions. Her parents are supposed to get home before she does but often they just don't. Each time, I put a note on her parent's door and then take the kid into my mom's house for t.v. and a snack until they parents get her. But, I'm often not there so I worry a lot. I know the neighbors. They are loving parents. So, I don't get why this happens so often. When they say thanks I just give them a rueful smile but next time I'm going to tell them, "Hey, a little girl was killed and dumped in a pond in suitcase. I'm worried about your daughter being alone for even a few minutes out here. There's no one around to hear if anything happens or anyone bothers her."
But, I think it's sick that kids can't roam a bit and still be safe. It's awful. I don't think it's good for the kids' psyches either that they never have the freedom to just be kids, and play by themselves, or explore on their own or even walk down the damn street to play. It's ridiculous!

Secretsquirrel~ Note that article was from two months ago and has nothing to do with this case.

Suzi...where have the names Lawless and Lawlor come up before?! Was it the case on the east coast where the handiman killed the woman in her apartment? I know we have researched those names in connection with a particular case. Hmmm...Blink would know!

Just coming back to the thread and saw this. Lawless is definitely righting a bell. Not sure why though.

I think Wohler is 43. Maybe it's Sinclair or Slayter.

We need a map of this entire trailer park! The numbering system DOES NOT make sense. I have tried to count those units in several "logical" ways and it never comes out righ . I wonder if there is one on the State site? I'll try to look later today. In California, the state Dept of HUD is in charge of all mobile home parks.

I thought Slayter was 43 - right behind the clubhouse? I'll try to find a link. I'm not sure we ever heard where Wohler or Sinclair were, but Lawless is 57, right?
