Several of us have wondered the same things. It seems counterintuitive to treat it as though it isn't an abduction ... just find the person and worry about everything else later.
But LE has limited resources, and since most missing adults are not abductions, there isn't much they can do. For whatever reason, LE doesn't believe Sherri was abducted.

I have just over 5 hours left to devote to this case.

I agree with the above with the exception that LE definitely knows much more than we do, though perhaps knows less about SP's Pinterest's & interests, mentionable and not.

Last night I put my puzzle pieces together. FWIW IMO I believe she was taken by a known person to her and her family. I think they believe she is alive and not in imminent danger and they can plead, pray or negotiate her return.
Furthermore, I believe she will be returned soon.

In my private wild speculation which will remain private, I have a theory, a POI and likely places where she would be found.

I find it a little interesting that SP’s Pininterest account is still active. With all the discussion here, I would think that if KP had her login info it would be shut down by now. Anyway, my take on the overall vibe of that account is that while most of it is innocuous fluff, the Cultural Differences board reflects some alternative views on religion (lots of focus on native American spirituality but no organized western religion is mentioned), but also some pretty conservative values, and some cultural bias against Muslim customs and Hollywood attitudes, also a bit of anti-government (Snowden, etc..). Also, the combination Homesteading, End of the World, RV Stuff, One Tough Mama, and Canning/Preserving suggest some off-the-grid survivalist mentality. So who knows, maybe they have cash lying around (not in banks), guns, an RV, some stockpile of survival materials (i.e., food and supplies) stashed somewhere. Do they have any other land holdings where they may have an RV or some kind of shelter? Anyway, just thinking out loud here.

If the contributor to the board had mainly Wiccan pins and boards I think that would be the only clue to if it was just a Halloween party board or something else. But anyone who looks at mine would assume I'm into things I'm not. I think it's safe to say not every pin reflects us but I'm also not a hardcore Pinterest user so I may be different but I think a lot of the time we pin things we find pretty or cute and that doesn't mean they reflect us. I did find it curious that a lot of her social media and such have been taken down(based on what comments I've read here) so I wonder if that's because they have evidence that the cops or FBI are looking into and want not viewable so that if they show anything suspicious the person or persons can't go delete their comments and such on the profiles.

I also pin black hat society because they have the cutest pins and I find myself drawn their around October every year. I've also pinned wiccan stuff through Pinterest as well. I'm a Roman Catholic. Pins are our fantasy world and wish lists. I don't think too much of it.

You have me so curious about a POI that has her alive and you have an idea where. I don't know how anyone can have a POI when we know so little about who she associates with other than family.

I wonder, though, if the reporter just wrote that about the balloons, or if he knew it for a fact. They could have been assuming, or just using a turn of phrase.

Another video report showed the base of the guy wires for the telephone pole on the corner. They didn't say why they were showing that spot, but it sure seemed to be where the phone was found.

I just discovered something cool! On Bing maps, you can do street view on Sunrise Drive. We can wander around their neighborhood!

The spot by the mailboxes is pretty private. It's screened from the house to the north, and to the south there is an outbuilding visible, but the house is pretty screened as well.

Thanks for the Bing Map link. I did peek into the neighborhood and now have a better visual of the area that was searched. I don't know when the Bing cameras were on Sunrise but suspect It was about the same on November 2, 2016, before the grass grows with the winter rains. So there are trees uplimbed for fire safety, short grass, and almost no shrubbery. Very different from where I live where there is dense shrubbery adjacent to the road. To conceal a person under these conditions, you would need a structure, vehicle, woodpile, grave. A K9 search team would be very helpful. It's the role of LE to get K9 assistance early in the search. And, to get assistance from a K9 Team matched to the task.

The deadline has passed for anonymous donor's ransom offer for whoever might have missing woman Sherri Papini.
It's unclear, however, whether the offer has brought any useful information.
Cameron Gamble, who was negotiating the offer on behalf of the donor, couldn't be immediately reached for comment Wednesday morning.
The letter on SherriPapini.com, the site established earlier this month to offer the undisclosed amount of money, says the donor is leaving town Wednesday morning for the Thanksgiving holiday.
"If you don&#8217;t respond by 5 a.m. (Wednesday) morning, I have decided to make this same cash reward available to anyone who can lead us to her," the letter says. "I don&#8217;t care if they are wanted criminals, drug addicts or your closest friend, I am willing to pay the people enough money they will talk and nothing will be tracked back to them."

If there has been no ransom demand, what makes family or anyone think she was taken for money? Or rather, that money would be an incentive for her return? That is what I don't get. They are basically saying if she is brought home, not only won't they tell on the perp but will reward him or her.

Just babbling, I know, but this makes no sense.

Imo if you are the family and you think you know who did it you go to LE to figure it out.

Yes, I think they did. I think they are having a difficult time locating this POI. He's been all over the country, mostly SW. Reminding you that this is my wild speculation.

I believe the separate families are using different strategies. One is behind the public offering. I think they think they know who they are dealing with and have profiled him/her/them. IMO they are dealing with someone who has a mental health issue, PTSD perhaps

Yea I agree cause I don't feel my pins reflect me accurately. Except maybe the ones for food/drink and chickens since I show them. And maybe my tattoo and hair one but I put so little stake in anyone's profiles reflecting them but I will say now that they mentioned her following things like it on YouTube it does make me wonder if the contributor to her thing has a lot of pina a Wiccan may have and if there's any practicing covens in the area but I don't think any of it will have to do with what's happened to her. Cause I think she knew them or knew of them stalking her and don't think it's religion or politics related but merely an obsession this person has developed and acted on.

Have we read anything at all in which either Sherri herself or someone close to her mentions a previous marriage, or even says anything that alludes to the possibility of a prior relationship of that caliber (it is very possible that I missed a reference somewhere over the course of 7 threads!)? Total speculation, but I wonder if it is possible that the former marriage was something very very brief that only she and perhaps one or two others knew about until very recently.

I wish I knew what all the things in the sheriff logs stand for because the newest lot mentions a k9 searching a car or something and that made me curious along with what was already posted about the girl in the front seat who resembled a missing person. I think my Pinterest wouldn't be nearly as weird as I actually am and would be mostly boring. But my Facebook and Instagram are another story. And I don't even want to think about what they'd get from my Facebook!
