Just catching up with today's happenings...I am absolutely SICK and FURIOUS. What a disgusting excuse for a human being.

So far this young girl has shown such courage and strength. I hope those characteristics coupled with therapy and the loving support of family will help her heal quickly and fully. I can't imagine the family is able to breathe much knowing TS is still out there. My thoughts are with them! Hope this sicko has a run in with a little vigilante justice... And maybe CountryGirls rattlesnake.

Words just cannot describe. I've read over both threads twice now. We all gave suppositions & what-ifs, brainstormed alot...all together, too. Mostly everything we all said was simply based on past cases & statistics. My God looking back is frightening bc alot that we gave was in a worse case scenario. Seems like this little angel went through 32 degrees of Hell and LIVED to survive it all. There are no words. None.

I'm in awe of the amount of courage this sweet girl is showing. I'm praying God has blessed her for a bigger purpose so that everything she endured wasn't in vain. I know God doesn't being about injustice, he heals. But this girl went through more in one 12 hour period than 12 people combined have been through in a lifetime.

Even more disturbing, JG, is that there are a few counts in the charging documents that are not showing. This means that those specific crimes are even more heinous than the ones that we CAN read. I can't recall the specific numbers, but it is between charge 25 and charge 30--there are a couple of charges missing...you will see that the numbers skip over a few.

I was literally sick to my stomach as I read what he did to this precious child. May he rot in hell for all eternity.

I was thinking it has to do with film & stills. He's probably holding that close as his bartering tool. Sick f. The more heinous, the more worth. God I hate these crimes!

I know this is probably naive, but I am so disturbed by the fact that based on his FB he seems like a normal, decent guy. I mean, he's not bad looking - could almost be attractive. Great smile. Seems happy. Has friends. His mom has several posts about him and pics with his son and nieces and nephews. From outward appearances it all seems so normal and that is what is most frightening to me. I usually don't find myself sympathetic in these situations, but I am feeling so sad for his mom and family. I peeked at his mom's FB and you can tell that she adores all her kids and grandkids....especially the grandkids. She must be crushed by all this. His siblings must be worried about their own kids. I am NOT excusing his actions in ANY WAY, but going down the road to drugs is very sad as well. Meth is a horrible drug (if that's what he was into) and can turn you into someone completely different. It's probably part of what contributed to the burglaries and previous arrests...money for drugs. So sad what drugs can do to a person.

A 10-year-old girl was kidnapped from her Northridge bedroom at knife point by a burglar who then repeatedly sexually assaulted her during a 12-hour ordeal, according to charges prosecutors filed Wednesday.

Fugitive Tobias Dustin Summers, 32, who was charged in his absence, faces 36 sexual assault charges as well as kidnapping and first-degree burglary charges, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said. If convicted, he faces multiple life terms in prison.

The felony complaint for the first time details a violent 12 hours for the girl, who vanished from her unlocked Northridge home in the middle of the night March 27. The 10-year-old was discovered missing at 3:40 a.m. by her mother after she heard a sound and went to investigate.

The girl was dropped off about 12 hours later in a Woodland Hills parking lot.

The complaint alleges that Summers broke into the home and used a knife to abduct the girl. He remains at large, and authorities have broadened their search to San Diego.

I still can't believe this is still free! I admit it really took me back that LE thought he was in SD but how much media is it getting there if the caller about the sighting there didn't hear about it for hours? And I am a bit concerned about the media reports today about "2 men charged" --- I hope people don't think they are both in custody!!!

I hope that any of the family or friends of Summers who may have been harboring doubts about what he did and therefore have helped him with money, a place to hide, even just knowing his whereabouts without turning him in read the charging document and understand just what it is they have helped. And that they have a change of heart and do the right thing, the decent thing, and in fact, the safest thing for their friend/relative and TURN HIM IN. And if they don't, I hope they get charged as accessories after the fact to all of these heinous acts and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Having read some myself, I feel extraordinary sympathy for his family as well--especially his mother and his son. Words are probably not adequate to describe how shocked/crushed they must feel. TS had praised his son for being the "only person who had faith in me." What that kid must be going through, now...

Agreed. And I think the reason we see 'only' two counts for DM is that after he knew exactly what happened to the little girl after Summers took her out of her house at knifepoint (and come on, he KNEW it wasn't so they could watch the Disney Channel and eat cookies) he flipped on Summers faster than an iHop griddle cook during all you can eat pancake week. So that was his 'reward,' getting only two felony counts.

I do think LE has been playing a superb cat and mouse game with these two perps in managing the media and I just hope they are much closer on Summers' filthy deviant tail than he has any idea.
