So POI has been released but remains POI... My head is spinning....

Oh, man! I can't even imagine the mosquitos they are dealing with today.

They are horrendous right now. I feel so badly for the officers trying to focus while they are being swarmed. I wish they could put a call out for locals to bring their "zappers" over and set up a perimeter. Lots of people in that area with acreages would have some sort of mosquito device for their yards as June and July here are miserable for bugs and and yet two of the only nice months to be outside in the sun.

However, Mother Nature is cooperating in another way. We have had a rare stretch of good weather this week. Typically we are hit with big storms in the afternoons during this time of year and they bring with them heavy rains or hail. Instead, we have only had a few afternoon buildups that have approached the area and then dissipated without any major precipitation. That could be a plus for preserving evidence.

Those two were arrested almost 2 weeks apart (May 10, 2013, May 22, 2013), so names were announced separately.

You cannot go directly from high school to med school anywhere in Canada. You need at least 2 years undergrad study in chemistry, biology, etc. to apply to med school and many people have to complete a whole B.Sc. before they are admitted. (example: U of A http://www.med.ualberta.ca/admissions/md/applyingmedicine/requirements) Only the brightest would be able to move on from 2 years pre-med and go directly into med school without completing their undergrad.

With 2 years pre-med and 1 year med school, it is not that unreasonable to represent yourself as having earned a (3-year, non-Honours) B.Sc. Not correct, not legal, but not hugely off base.
Can someone please explain to me in a nutshell what the above discussion is in relation to the case?

OMGosh hes been released! They must not have found any evidence of the trio in his truck or on his land?
Edited: sorry his parents land.

Say he remains person of interest. Search of property NE of Airdrie ongoing. #AmberAlert still on for 5y/o Nathan O'Brien and grandparents

So - from that, one might assume they may not have the right truck or the right POI? Very confusing case

That was quick. Have anyone checked highway webcams (BC?) For the Ford F150?

Burned out car in Barrie with 3 bodies. No other people mentioned missing as of yet. Autopsy on car victims initially to be done right away then delayed to later this week.

A man from Mississauga and his two sons set out to see a movie and did not return, and they have been reported missing by their mother. The burnt out car was found near the Sunset Barrie drive-in theatre.

"On Saturday, a man who lives on the acreage was taken into custody for questioning. However, he was released on Sunday, but police maintain he remains a person of interest.

As no charges have been laid against him, officers are not releasing his name."

I think that means that the person of interest is aware of his rights, and that he insisted that he be charged or released. I'm assuming that there is not enough evidence to lay charges, so he is released and remains a person of interest until there is more evidence.

If the truck has been thoroughly cleaned - which is to be expected given that it appears to be a 20 year old vehicle in mint condition - and if there is no evidence on the property, then this may be very difficult to solve. If this is the correct suspect, then I would assume that it was a premeditated abduction (unrelated to the garage sale).

I wonder if police are going back to the crime scene and work out from there again to try to determine the location of the missing family members...

Are police still going to finish checking the fields where he lives?

He probably lawyered up.

They have nothing.

Are they tracking credit/debit card usage? There has to be a clue soon.
