Okay here goes....trying for a short explanation...*that's hard for me as I tend to ramble*L*....

When I checked out that ad site yesterday? day before? I hit the 'post ad' button....it stated that....ads run for 100 days.....unless someone wanted to pay extra for it to be auto-renewed....I assumed at that time that she must have paid for an auto-renew as the 100 days was just about up *I think it was on day 93 or something close*....The ad was posted originally in Apr....it seemed to do the auto-renew in July and the ad was 'good' till Oct....

One little trick I've learned that can be used on some....I emphasize some....websites....you can get a cached copy of what was on the page......which I just did....so I can show you a snip *I use snipping tool rather than printscreen* of the basic last shot of the website....so here you go....shows all the particulars.....
At the top of the webpage when you get a 'cache' copy it will tell you time & date of the cache & it says something like this:
"This is Google's cache of "website addie here" It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on 12 Jul 2014 07:10:33 GMT. The current page could have changed in the meantime."

View attachment 54765 I completely messed up in posting this previously...I blacked the area with phone # & address ...that info doesn't need to be out there obviously....

I guess LE probably already knows, but worthwhile emailing them, I would say.

I was kind of curious as to why LE would have had an ME visit, when there were no bodies.

From wiki:

In Canada, the office responsible for investigating all unnatural and natural unexpected, unexplained, or unattended deaths goes under the name ‘coroner’ or ‘medical examiner’ depending on location.[4] While the name differs, they act in similar capacities as they do not determine civil or criminal responsibility but instead, make and offer recommendations to improve public safety and prevention of death in similar circumstances. Coroner or Medical Examiner services in Canada are under the jurisdiction of Provincial or Territorial government, within the public safety and security or justice portfolio depending on location. These services are headed by a Chief Coroner (or Chief Medical Examiner) and are supported by a team of coroners or medical examiners which are appointed by the executive council.

The provinces of Alberta,[5] Manitoba,[6] Nova Scotia[7] and Newfoundland and Labrador[8] have a Medical Examiner system, meaning that all death investigations are conducted by specialist physicians trained in Forensic Pathology, with the assistance of other medical and law enforcement personnel. All other provinces run on a coroner system. In Prince Edward Island, and Ontario, all coroners are, by law, physicians. In the other provinces and territories with a coroner system, namely British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Quebec, New Brunswick, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon, coroners are not necessarily physicians but generally have legal, medical, or investigative backgrounds.

Is it the norm to not have news reports five hours after the discovery in the reservoir. Or are they identifying and notifying next of kin.

no it is VERY weird, even if they were notifying next of kin they usually would include "victim will not be named until next of kin is notified" the only time I ever see news stories kind of get lost in the wind is when it is a suicide, but considering there are two missing men in calgary right now as well as this family you'd think all news outlets would be reporting it whether they have a name or not.. very odd. I will watch the 11pm news tonight to see if anyone other than CTV (who was 1/2 that reported it) bring it up

What does all this have to do with seemingly strange observations pertaining to the business ad of someone who's missing?

Who says it was her that created it? Post a craigslist ad selling a car, and then 5 days later, edit it to show a job ad with a different phone number and address and a link to a fake website you created. Anyone can do it.

This might seem totally out there...for the heck of it.

DG had a green truck, a neighbor had a similar truck, some guy on another forum mentioned above says he saw a rusty green truck.

What if this specific paint color on a pickup truck is part of some 'rural gang' and those are their gang colors?

:sigh::nevermind:

There's a theory out there on another thread that those trucks are used as fleet by SA Alberta and regularly auctioned off.

This is better in terms of illustrating how those maps relate to each other.
I'll leave the other two maps posted in case someone sees a different route to map

I just glanced at the map again and my stomach dropped.
I know this area relatively well but just seeing it in map form was like a sucker punch. The drive from Parkhill to the reservoir is a very easy, straightforward one. A few turns to get onto MacLeod and then onto Glenmore. There is one particular exit off of Glenmore that loops you around and takes you very close to the water...

I wrote that ^^ and then remembered this man, Lian Jie Ma, is missing from Rockyview Hospital. The hospital is along the reservoir.

http://www.calgaryherald.com/touch/story.html?id=10018105

I assume this is most likely related to the disappearance of Ma. The hospital is along the reservoir and it is likely that Ma may have fallen in while walking around outside the hospital or something like that.

Sorry to be morbid but the glenmore reservoir would be a pretty horrible place to dump a body or bodies. It's not secluded, and would be difficult to find a place to make the drop without being seen. Besides, there is a psychiatric ward in the hospital that is right near the reservoir and sadly enough it is not uncommon to find former patients in the water - I think the last such publicized incident was not even a few months ago.

That... And the bodies would be spotted very quickly. They're not going anywhere and there is so much activity in and around there. The only reason someone would ever dump a dead body there is if they wanted it to be found quickly.

They'd be better off quickly running down to the bow river which is very close to the parkhill residence and taking their chances that the bodies don't wash up until quite far downstream.

There is that possibility. If any one thinks bad to the late 80s and especially to the early and mid 90s these sorts of green vehicles were very popular. Both in darker green and lighter greens like Aqua and such. I remember back in the 90s my mom really wanted a blue-green (aqua or turquoise) Pontiac Grand Am. It was the color to have a the time.

body recovery in calgary itself is rare, so when it happens it shocks everyone, i think this would be the first of the year for the reservoir and i believe 1 or 2 last year were recovered as well.

There's a missing 18 year old male from July 3. Perhaps there's a connection.

With a 'personal' bankruptcy, you let down all of your personal creditors, like banks, credit cards, mortgage institution, etc. With a business bankruptcy, I don't think it even allows you to stiff your employees. I wouldnt' be even thinking about employees wanting to exact their revenge. I would think more along the lines of... firms the company owed money to.. sometimes 'firms' are just very small companies, that provide services that cost a lot of money. Sometimes 'firms', when dealing with a new customer, get the said customer (company) to fill out a 'credit application', which can sometimes include a 'personal guarantee by the owners/principals' of the customer (company). Some smallish contractor may have been owed a lot of money and not felt particularly at risk because he may have had one of those 'personal guarantees' signed.. only to find out that there in fact WERE no worthwhile personal assets to speak of. ie with KL having gone bankrupt personally herself a couple of years ago, they may have had little in the way of assets in their personal names. If their home were already sold, no asset there. They were still living there however, so it may have 'appeared' to some, that they still in fact did own the home. If they purchased another home in another country, that would do little in the way of providing security for any debt in Canada. Can't help mulling of that over in my mind, wondering if there is a contractor/supplier who went whacko when he found all of this out, just as the company cleared out of their offices, all staff were dismissed, etc., on June 25th.

I completely agree. This could be it and the police are trying to get their ducks in a row before too much attention from the public and the media.

Perhaps they were still trying to locate the next of kin. If the media didn't report it, how did anyone know about the body?

Not only are we web sleuthers, but we are conspiracy theorists too ha ha! :)

If police have a pretty good idea about who it is, police will make every effort to notify the family before they hear about a body in the reservoir on the news.

Yes I agree, them bringing in the ME is what caused a lot of confusion because when an ME is brought it it's for death. Unless it was just a pre-caution, but even so that hints that they were thinking the worst would be found.

I think there was enough blood for police to reasonably suspect that there may have been "violence" that resulted in "medical distress", perhaps death.
