It is interesting that the Sherman estate trustees of AG, JS and AK are also mentioned above.I don’t understand what I’m looking at on the Ontario Court website.
-in 2020 Noah first filed against Mary and Allen and the trust. He also named his siblings Matthew and Rebecca as defendants. That part makes sense because the CBC reported on the contents of the initial suit. Noah claimed his parents mismanaged the trust that Honey set up for him and his siblings. He claimed that his siblings received properties, but he didn’t. There were 17 properties as of 2017.
-2021 an order, but no details.
- 2021-2023 the case continues
-In the fall of 2023 Mary in her capacity as trustee (Allen not named) filed against Noah, but also added the trustees of Honey’s estate and her other two children as defendants (Why?)
-in December Rebecca and Matthew filed against the Sherman heirs, the trustees for Barry’s 2016 trust, and over a dozen of relatives on Barry’s side of the family. Plus Lauren, Alex & Kaelen (Why?)
There were additional filings but those are the main ones. I guess there are a lot of counter suits, but why would Barry’s relatives and the three female Sherman heirs be names as defendants. And it’s not worded as ‘Barry’s estate trustees’, it’s stated as the trustees of ‘Barry’s 2016 trust’.
And if you do a search on Noah’s name, there are about five entries related to his same case but they all have different case numbers. The same thing with the other people involved. So far the Florence and Sherman side have been named as defendants, they’re not the aggressors.
Again, I suspect that the Trustees of the BS 2016 Trust are arguing that BS relatives and children are entitled to be beneficiaries under the Schechtman Trust ( or maybe they are) and MS is arguing they shouldn’t be. It seems clear she wants total control of the Schechtman Trust, which may not be consistent with the provisions of the Trust Itself.I don’t understand what I’m looking at on the Ontario Court website.

"I suspect I know the good reason". ldlager, please share, the suspense is too much!Again, I suspect that the Trustees of the BS 2016 Trust are arguing that BS relatives and children are entitled to be beneficiaries under the Schechtman Trust ( or maybe they are) and MS is arguing they shouldn’t be. In view of the amount of money that BS children inherited, there must be a good reason why they just haven’t paid MS a bunch of money to have her go away. I suspect I know the good reason.
Wow, talk about money ruining relationships! Kind of glad I'll be working into my 70s and that my mortgage will likely outlive me, at least I'm happy. They all seem miserable. Barry only sounded happy at work while the rest seem to be entitled brats. MOO.
I think Barry was happy. I also think Honey was happy. They loved their grandchildren and seemed to be really at peace with each other according to people who knew them.Wow, talk about money ruining relationships! I suspect BS and HS children dislike her so much that they are committed to not sharing any part of their inheritance with her. MOO"I suspect I know the good reason". ldlager, please share, the suspense is too much!
Maybe, BS was happy about his one grandchild, who was living in his vicinity; the other one, child of Alex, was just born, afaik. Their oldest daughter lived far away, and so did their oldest grandchild. So, before their death, HS/BS had a reason to be happy about ONE single grandchild, to whome they may have had contact. I can't imagine, that one grandchild reconciled their differences. I can rather imagine, they told other people, it would be a reason for better understanding one another. If one person (of two) didn't want to admit, that $500mill as a gift had done it's persuasion to get along better. MOOI think Barry was happy. I also think Honey was happy. Why was BS's and HS's daughter LS living so far away from them in BC?Maybe, BS was happy about his one grandchild, who was living in his vicinity; the other one, child of Alex, was just born, afaik. Both kids in Toronto belong to Alex and Brad. B and H were over the moon with those kids. Lauren S lives in BC and has one child. She was a single mother. B and H adored him.Why was BS's and HS's daughter LS living so far away from them in BC?
Didn't Lauren make a comment along the lines of if they had to die, at least they got to know her son? It sounded to me like that was really recent but I could be wrong. Both kids in Toronto belong to Alex and Brad. B and H were over the moon with those kids. Lauren S lives in BC and has one child. She did.Didn't Lauren make a comment along the lines of if they had to die, at least they got to know her son? It sounded to me like that was really recent but I could be wrong.
What i should have said is, I also heard that a number of times. They adored their grandchildren. She did.

This was about MS. The 3 younger kids aren't biologically Honey's so also aren't biologically related to MS either. I find it odd that JS said MS would overlook the philanthropy the kids were going to continue to provide but that never happened. Was that just a show at the funeral or were things always frosty. Why do you think they disliked her? Is it true that the children were not biologically hers?
Lauren reportedly commented, “Well, if it had to happen, it was not the worst time in their lives to be murdered—they had finally gotten to know my son.”Didn't Lauren make a comment along the lines of if they had to die, at least they got to know her son? That sounds to me like a response to a question or comment made, IMO, likely this comment is being used out of context, unless the comment or question is included for me this is hard to use to form any opinions about Lauren.Lauren reportedly commented, “Well, if it had to happen, it was not the worst time in their lives to be murdered—they had finally gotten to know my son.”

Kaelen ordered a new Infiniti QX60 sedan within a week. And when she arrived the next day, daughter Lauren reportedly commented, “Well, if it had to happen, it was not the worst time in their lives to be murdered—they had finally gotten to know my son.” Among the friends who showed up to give support in those terrible first few hours were Kaelen’s fiancé and his parents. That sounds to me like a response to a question or comment made, IMO, likely this comment is being used out of context, unless the comment or question is included for me this is hard to use to form any opinions about Lauren.
