I'm just putting this here and it may not be Cameron. The body location was found at Sand Beach Road Parkette in Etobicoke.

Hmmm. In the article it says the police performed CPR on the victim before it was determined he was deceased. Doesn't initially strike me as a body that's been in the water for a long period of time.

OSHAWA — A fundraiser in support of the family of Cameron Bailie, an Oshawa man missing since January, is planned for later this month.

The event, which will include yard and bake sales as well as raffles, is scheduled for Saturday, June 24. The events, which will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is set to take place at Ontario Motor Sales on Park Street South, said organizer Tanya Budgell.
Funds raised will go toward assisting Bailie’s young son, as well as supplementing a reward that’s being offered for information on the missing man’s whereabouts.

Geeze Louise. How many bodies are in our lakes?

I can still see it but it says "archived" now. I can see posts but all comments are off and no one can post.
I've never seen a FB archived. I wonder why yesterday? Do they think it's Cameron?

Maw said police received a call about a body floating in the water near Lakeview Park, in Oshawa Harbour at the bottom of Simcoe Street South at about 7:30 p.m.

This is just blocks from Cameron's house and near where his shoe was found, iirc.

Me as well. A few hours after someone posted the body being found it was made closed then I noticed the archive. Are you able to read the posts still?
Also some interesting comments about a sweatshirt or sweatpants being hung on a tree near water. Not sure if close to where body was found

It seems the FB page was archived and then un-archived due to the funderaiser that was supposed to be taking place. It is now archived again. It has been mentioned that the family archived the account due to being bombarded with questions regarding the recent finding of a body. There have been several occasions in recent months where bodies have been located and questions were asked on the FB group but never did the account become archived, I feel the body pulled from the water on Sat near Lakeview Park is likely Cameron Bailie. Just my opinion but I think Cameron walked into that water on his own, leaving his shoes as the hint. I feel that he hoped he would become another "lost boy" like his baby mama's brother.

It weird because Cameron has a large tattoo across his back and another on his arm. It seems like identifying his body would be fairly easy based on that. I could be wrong, though, with the body potentially being in the water this long.

Edit: after looking around on the internet it seems that it's likely that, while the body could have stayed largely intact through the colder months, it would be in an advanced state of decay by late June. It's possible it would be very hard to identify beyond DNA, dental records, recognizable fractures, etc..
