You and Shelley sound much more gracious about him than I think I could be in regards to how he acts. I guess maybe there's just something gnawing at me about him I just can't shake. Of course, this is an observation from a distance as obviously I've never met him!

I think what bothers me is that he seems to have injected himself into this story, almost to a point where it seems like he's toying with people. His 'assistance' doesn't seem to be for good will or authentic, more like it's a game and he seems confrontational almost, but who am I to say. I swear I saw him today, looked back twice, but maybe because this was on my mind…not even sure he's still in Victoria.

I think that the conversation you women are having right now is the truth of what happened to Emma, regretfully said. As a man who considers himself to have the ability to "read" people, I must say that I'm willing to bet JH may know exactly where Emma is. Shelley, I'm sure you don't want to comment much on what the Investigator is looking into but i really hope JH is picked apart.

Just to add to my last statement...I DO hope my gut feeling is wrong about Emma's fate, but circumstantial evidence in many cases like this in the past is enough for other police forces to grill suspects and enduce details or confessions. As Bill Clark in the Fifth Estate said "balance of probability" ; the coincidences don't add up in my opinion.

I wanted to let Shelley or kokanee know about 'Terry the Fernwood Bubble Man'. There was just a news segment about him on the local TV news this week and I forgot about him.

Not sure it will help, but if the Vikki lady said she saw Emma in Fernwood in 2013, it might be a good idea for the P.I. to contact Terry the Bubble Man as he's a regular Fernwood Square community fixture and out there making bubbles 363 days of the year. If Emma was around the neighborhood, I'm sure he would've seen her. Here's a couple articles about him:

I'm curious why the friend Emma went to visit at Hotel 760 wasn't interviewed for The 5th Estate and/or if they were a POI for LE and if LE gave that person a polygraph as well.

I'm mostly wondering because it'd be strange if LE gave JH one and he was more of a far-away acquaintance, but didn't give one to the friend who was closer to Emma and might've saw her that night. JH was in The 5th Estate show, but the hotel friend wasn't.

To me (maybe I'm reading too much into this), this says something and I think LE are more interested in JH than they're letting on….

Thanks for your comment. And no, you are right, I cannot comment on the work being undertaken by the private investigator

Agreed, nothing adds up.

Thank you for the tip. I will definitely pass this on to the PI.

Let's hope there's no connection….This must be a fairly recent occurrence so probably not connected, but thought to share in case and I'll try to check in on this story and update if any info is released.

"Just in: A body has just been pulled out of the gorge waterway - no other details released at the moment. More to come.

Shelley - what can we do to help? What needs to be explored?

At this point, I think our best hope is with the private investigator. I still think she is somewhere on the west coast so if you would like to put up posters, I would be very grateful. Just email me your address to fillipoff@hotmail.com and I will send a bunch asap. Thank you for caring about Emma <3

An unusual case, involving an unusual young woman, who left unusual clues.
This requires an unusual solution, imo, but what could it be ?
rbbm.

“It’s rare where a person disappears off the planet and is never seen again,” Spencelayh said.

A disappearance usually boils down to one of four theories: The person ran away, had an accident, committed suicide or was killed, police say.

Most missing person files last hours, maybe days. Rarely does a case last months without any substantial progress. That’s what makes Fillipoff’s case so troubling. None of the evidence has led investigators toward any of their traditional theories.

“It causes a lot of frustration in that there’s a lot of starting points … but each time we do a followup, we’re no further ahead,” Spencelayh said. “It’s rare that we get cases like that.”

I think you might be right.

I doubt they were even aware of the 760 stay or other important clues that surfaced from that time that perhaps can't be mentioned at this point

If the 760 stay is an important detail in her disappearance I sure hope LE and the P.I explore this. If it can't be mentioned at this point, does that mean it's relevant? And if it is relevant, is there any clues as to who it was she stayed with there?

This case seems like it could go in 5 directions, but which one is the most likely? So frustrating… I just feel like Emma didn't leave Victoria that night for some reason, I don't think she would've at that point in the evening unless accompanied by someone or via hitchhiking. Even if she had a breakdown of any kind, I just don't think she would've left by herself somewhere that night.

If she did go anywhere by herself that evening I feel like there would've been sightings and witnesses would've come forward saying so. If she went with someone else, it would've been very easy to not be seen in a vehicle.
