That is a Canadian accent. I don't know of anyone who speaks Bob and Doug Mackenzie style.
Gotcha. Most Canadians I have contact with (unless I'm visiting Canada, of course) are French Canadians, who come to the Jersey Shore every summer. And I missed any PC yesterday, so didn't realize who she is. Thanks.

True, but then think of Len Dyck. No one reported him missing and it took quite awhile to ID him.

And, anyone on vacation wouldn't be missed right away since people expect them to be out of touch.

I think it's a possibility they have another car.

To me, setting the RAV4 on fire before setting out in another vehicle would be pretty stupid.

On the other hand, setting the RAV4 on fire before setting out on foot would be insane.

But apparently at least one of them is insane, so who knows?

I don't think the police presence around Gillam indicates they have anything beyond the burned vehicle. The teens haven't been seen elsewhere, and until they are police will search the Gillam area. There's nowhere else to search.

@MassGuy I have been following this since day one. They released the info about the car first...I presume because the Chief went public. The announcements were later about the sightings from RCs. So I apologize. But the sighting did come first. However, I didn’t think they were suspects yet.
WB friends again? :)

I believe it was close to Gillam, $20 gas.

So if the jumping out/hitchhiking story wasn't confirmed, maybe the rumour was? but with what we know... that woman is lucky she is still alive, IMO Why wouldn't they just take her car?
This is the craziest part to me - if this is true she must be a mess. The luckiest woman ever. Are they out of ammo?

For anyone interested, here is the form to apply for a gun license in Canada (CAN$60). It asks for info on depression, drug or emotional problems, but there’s no way to determine if someone is lying about this.

It requires two references and info and phone number on any conjugal (not just someone you live with) partner. Processing can take up to 90 days. Completion of a gun safety course ($170) is a precondition to applying:

Bryer did not have a gun license unless he got one without telling his father. We don’t know about McLeod.

These licenses are in the RCMP’s database.

There's only one road in to Gillam, and one road out. I believe they retreated to a cabin and/or shelter in the woods, and their bodies will be recovered there.

MOO
Most cabins and shelters in the area usually have basic supplies in case a trappers gets stranded or such plus in the summer most of them are always occupied there's a lot of American huntèrs and fishermen in the area with guides .

Haha yes I think she sounded like I do. People just think of the extreme accents which are not from the prairies. Had we got one from Saskatchewan we may have thrown out some "bunny hug" lingo but still same accent.
:D:D We will know if we get a SK officer if they say, last spotted wearing a black 'bunnyhug'!

“This is a very one-off, tragic event,” said MacIvor, whose father-in-law once owned the van in which Fowler and Deese were traveling. It was sold at auction after his wife’s father’s death last year.

People in the Dawson Creek area sometimes maintain a post office box across the border, and license/insure vehicles there, in Bay Tree, Alberta.

If these two showed up at your fishing camp, that might be a real "downer" on your fishing fun...........moo

Above news article mentions that Churchill, MB is also under alert.

If they managed to hop on a train on July 22, after burning the car, they could be in Churchill. Their port gets occasional supply ships in the summer.

I suggested earlier that RCMP should search all work camps and hydroelectric generation facilities in Gillam area, starting with the camp near Bird Reserve.

If they managed to hop on a Thompson bound train, they could be anywhere!

We need list of all trains passing through Gillam since July 21 afternoon. When I checked on July 22, next passenger train was Aug 1.

Those passenger trains sure don't run often then.

The pic of BS wearing army attire while standing in a room full of family photos depicts his emptiness, IMO. The pic shows a teen with absolutely no emotion on his face. Empty. There's one of him wearing a gas mask with a Happy Birthday banner behind him. Weird, IMO. The third photo depicts a swastika arm band and a knife.

The victims, Lucas Fowler & Chynna Deese, and Leonard Dyck, were fascinating, accomplished human beings with so much to offer. They were full of goodness and joy.

He may have been going camping and family just assume he was on a trip? There was camping gear in the vehicle. We don't know if it was his or the two's.
