The cops are laughing at her.
Great Post! Casey is asked several times in the interview if the last day she saw her daughter was June 9th and she comfirms it everytime. The family saying that they were confused never seemed right to me. I think I would know what day my daughter was kidnapped on.
opcorn:Hi all- this thread is sooooo long! I just started a Nancy Grace thread for tonight, so we can move to the 'Shiny Shirt thread" in a bit!
Those detectives in that room had decades of experience and they knew exactly what they were doing. They have dealt with tragedy of every kind, where children, beautiful innocent children are involved.
It is soooooo easy to sit back in a chair and criticize this or that, but we have had a long time to dissect every aspect of this case, wring it out, twist it, analyze it, ponder it and lie awake nights, tormented by it.
These detectives were not afforded those luxuries. They had just stumbled into this God -awful nightmare of a case and they already knew----based on their personal observations of Casey , the way it began to play out back then, and the gut instinct that comes with that much experience --that it wasn't going to end well.
The amount of self restraint these men were able to exert when questioning Casey is commendable and I have nothing but respect for how swiftly they pulled together so much information while using a honkin mountain of lies as their stepping stone.
 over. Thanks !
When asked about her car running out of gas and whether she parked it there to cash a check, she offered voluntarily "I wasn't abandoning my car, it just circumstantially ran out of gas". They probably should have stopped her right there and said, we never said you were abandoning it, all we asked was if you went into the store to cash a check, why would you say that?
I personally think that she cared so little for Caylee that she ACTUALLY did not know what the DATE of the last time she saw her was, but what she did know was that it was a Monday, and she was at Tony's the day her mom took Caylee to visit the grandparents, and she was not even sure if it was Saturday or Sunday when her mom MADE this trip...Makes you wonder if Cindy took Caylee to visit HER parents 2 weeks in a row, and that PERHAPS the big fight was on the weekend of the 9th, and then she came (perhaps SNUCK) back into the house and took Caylee on the night of the 15th or the morning of the 16th-this would explain the "took her away with no warning" statement made to Cindy's My Space page on July 2nd...and it would explain why she seemed to not have knowledge of what day her mom took Caylee to visit the grandparents...???
When Casey says something like the only mistake she made was leaving her daughter with someone she trusted, with someone who had been taking care of her, who had been taking GOOD care of her...she sounded defensive...almost as if she was describing herself.

While I agree with your comments ont he job these detectives have done with what they had to work with at that point, please listen to this part of the interview where he's asking her is she would call during the day to check on Caylee or text message from "here" at work. She still had them slipping back into the lie about even working at Universal? About 3/4 of the way through, listen and see if I heard that right.

If it helps, my two year old screams and tries to shut the computer every time he hears Caseys voice. They say children are good judges of character, I guess it must be true.
After hearing the recordings, I got the sense that the 9th was really a mistake and not meant to mislead (as so many other things she said were) because she did describe that Caylee went to see Cindy's parents on that day. Like if one person in the family was like "the last time I saw Caylee was the day I took her to see my parents, what day was that?" and then someone else goes "a few weeks ago...June 9th". Then everyone could associate June 9th with the day they saw the parents.
I don't support the lies but I don't think this particular point is significant. Sounds like an honest (lol) mistake.

I'm not really sure what you mean, as they do know the whole Universal thing is a lie. They have her spiralling into a totem pole of lies.
I'm not being sarcastic..honest...I really don't know what you mean and I am curious. OK, thanks.
Wouldn't that open her up to the possibility that people would see her, if she parked her butt on the stairs instead of going to "work"?Try to picture this...Caylee is dead and KC has to find a way to dispose of the body. She goes to Sawgrass in the a.m. to drop her in the dumpster then quietly sits on the stairs to make sure no one saw her.
