I think the "purse in the car" was a Cindyism. There was no purse listed in the documents. But there was a black bag of some sort, if I remember right? among other items.

What's weird is that when they (the grandparents together) went the 2nd time to pick up the car at the tow joint, GA accompanied the tow guy to get the car, the grandfather unlocked it and opened the door. He then noticed the gas gauge was at empty and told the tow operator he had a gas can in his car and had to go get it. He walked back to his car, got the can, came over and poured what was in it in the tank while apologized to the wrecker service owner for his wife's behavior.

This is all in the 400 page release - on mine, it's page 56. Question: does the grandfather always carry gas in a gas can in his car?

I'm guessing that he knew that the car's gas gauge was broken and thought ahead.

My Daily opinions If he is leaving from Alaska is he leaving with the Rep Vice Pres Elect's son ( Sara) she said her son was leaving about the same day????
I am not sure..He is with the Stryker Brigade at Fort Wainright.. From what he told me today, there are only 3 females in his unit going.. He promised to call me when he lands, I will certainly ask about that!

Absolutely. :praying: for Paul. Maybe someone knowledgeable could start a thread and WS members and their relatives who need prayers. Service. Hard times. Trying situations. Any situations. I would but I'm too 'puter dumb.
:blowkiss:

There are prayer threads already in existence in the Jury Room. :)

She may have been trying to make it look like she was a crime victim and left her purse in the car, but forgot to leave the keys. Reflex, you get out of the car, you take the keys.

Or she had to open the trunk with the keys and accidentally threw them in the dumpster with the effort to throw a dead weight over your head into a dumpster. Oops

Well, if his gas cans were stolen, I suspect he bought more....at least one more to get gas for the lawn mower. But why he had it with him at the tow lot is anyone's guess. Maybe Casey has run out of gas before and he just assumed?

Often tow companies DRAIN the vehicle tanks....

just business as usual!

George was former LE and should KNOWN this fact.

Yes, this would be a great thing....I don't know anyone who doesn't need prayer. Thank you Ezryder9 for remembering Paul....

I mean, who has full gas cans in sheds anyway? OK, maybe some people do, but I don't know any.

I do. It's just me and I hate going and filling up those things because I always spill the stuff and get it on my shoes or hands. So I keep as much as possible to keep from going to gas station more often.

Oooooo....now you're on to something!

We have full gas cans in FL because of 1) mowing fast growing grass every 5-6 days -- if you can get it to dry out long enough and 2) hurricane preparations (gas pumps at stations don't work when power is out). I know ... we're in batten-down-the-hatches mode here, again.

Thanks to cjcord for the avatar.

Except that he found the gas cans the same day he made the report right?

If he really saw casey on the 24th and one believes the greta inverview about the retrieval of the cans.

I probably should be more direct: I am almost certain nobody carries a gas can around with gas in it all the time in their trunk. So... I can only surmise the grandfather would know he needed it and the car was out of gas. The question is, how did he know that and who would have told him? Casey? It certainly isn't it in the report that anyone at the tow co told him anything other than he'd have to pay in cash....

C & G said on Greta, the gas gauge was broken ( & had been)....

Earlier posters had pointed out if you *knew* your car had problems, you would prolly try to carry what you needed, if it was broke down.

Battery====Jumper cables......Gas Gauge====Gas ==Can...etc.

I'm guessing that he knew that the car's gas gauge was broken and thought ahead.

Except when he *LOOKED* at the guage it read empty. If he knew it was broken he wouldn't have bothered looking at it.
Which goes to the inconsistancies with George and Cindy's statements.
They both said that they knew that the guage was broken, then why would he have bothered looking.
I believe the owner of the tow yard made the statement of something to the effect of (not a direct quote) "Mr anthony, opened the car and saw that the car was on empty and went to his car and got a gas can"

I'm guessing that he knew that the car's gas gauge was broken and thought ahead.

I don't think the gauge was ever broken. I think that was C & G's spin-doctoring on Greta. JMO:crazy:

ETA: Then in the same interview, they said a friend of Casey's had fixed it.

Ugh!!!

OT....but Tiredblondey, what part of the Blue Ridge are you from? I used to live in Madison Co. NC....know it?
