Oh, wow, you have my sympathies. And, O/T, I LOVE Maine, my brother lives there.
Where were the two bags of trash before you put them in your trunk?
(O/T again, once I had a bag of chicken feed in my trunk my husband forgot to get out, and my trunk had a leak. I thought my car smelled a little funny, and when I opened my trunk, what wasn't molding was sprouting, lol.)
Lanie

O/T but :praying: for your nephew's safety, and asking that you thank him for what he's doing for our country.

Yes....me too. My own son has joined the Air Force and is headed to San Antonio on Oct 9. His name is Paul and he is 20 years old.....please add him to your prayer list.

Hmmm....So, maybe he did get the gas cans back on 6/24?? That has been up for debate, as well. Or, he has multiple gas cans? And carries them around in the back of his car? Not safe, is it? Interesting...

I probably should be more direct: I am almost certain nobody carries a gas can around with gas in it all the time in their trunk. So... I can only surmise the grandfather would know he needed it and the car was out of gas. The question is, how did he know that and who would have told him? Casey? It certainly isn't it in the report that anyone at the tow co told him anything other than he'd have to pay in cash....

Note to self: Never buy a used car off of Lanie.

Thank you, I had him bookmark this site this afternoon since he will be allowed to take his computer with him. He is not sure of how the email thing will work out over there, but promises to keep a check in..He grew up in Florida, and found out about this case just a week or so ago..
:blowkiss:

Well maybe GA is of a *survivalist* mindset and always plans for anything. It's not a stretch to think the car might need gas if it's at a tow yard. They probably have 10 dozen rolls of toilet paper and 300 lightbulbs in their basement just in case they "run out".

I know this is a futile question, but why would Casey leave her purse but not the keys to the car?

I mean, who has full gas cans in sheds anyway? OK, maybe some people do, but I don't know any.

I can only bet this:

On my keyring are my HOUSE keys and getting the car keys off is a PIA.

She may have been trying to make it look like she was a crime victim and left her purse in the car, but forgot to leave the keys. Reflex, you get out of the car, you take the keys.

Because the police report of the burglary and GA's greta statement about the cans don't seem to match at all.

Just gonna throw this out there for more fodder. What IF, after George discovered the broken into shed and missing gas cans, he went out and bought 2 more. Cause maybe he wanted to be sure he could still have one in the trunk of his car? Presto! Now there are at least 3, probably 4, gas cans!

Maybe it was an old purse, she could have been styling with a new one from Target bought with Amy money.

Isn't that a fire hazard, with all that bamboo around??? OK, I'll stop now. :)

I do, but that because my fiancee insists that they be filled every time they are used. If it was me, they would be bone dry because I would never remember to fill them.

That's kinda where I'm at, I have no idea how many cans George has or had.
