so, Hackett had no reason to know who Shannan was… her story, whether she had been working as a sex worker, whether she was known to have appeared to be troubled on that night, or, that she had been out there and went missing on May 1st… unless he spoke with Joseph Brewer, to some extent, or possibly learning from the Suffolk County Police dept, where he worked… which should be checked out… what did Brewer tell him… what did he learn from the SCPD, from who, and why… also, he had no way to even know who Shannan’s mother was, or to get her phone number… very possibly he got it from Shannan’s phone, which probably had a speed-dial for “Mom”… or something like that… (same as with the other victims, where one, he called her sister, and the other he called her best friend)… That all needs to be looked into and clarified… what did he know about Shannan, and how did he learn this… What did he learn from Brewer/SCPD… if he says that Shannan gave him her mom’s number, then, he’s saying that he was with her on that evening when she was out at the beach, and went missing… needs to be followed up…

Let me add that CPH was given MG's phone number and asked to call her BECAUSE he was one of the few OBA residents who actually was willing to answer his door and offer ASSISTANCE with finding SG. CPH has a reputation of infusing himself into situations as a helper and a hero. His over-willingness to assist people turned out to be his downfall this time because he put his nose into something that he shouldn't have. Had he refused to answer his door that day and offer his help, we would never know CPH's name nor would we ever have a reason to connect him to the LISK case or to SG's unfortunate death.

I gotta feel bad for the guy.

We lived in Orlando at the time of the Daytona Beach murders, and I believe they knew him, someone familiar to them. All these years and not one has been caught, it maybe someone who has already been looked at! Sorry I'm new to this page, but I'm very intrigued with where this is going. These families deserve justice! Has anyone thought of contacting a psychic? I have abilities but mine are different, I've seen in so many cases where very good and intuned psychic or mediums can help solve or lead in the right directions! If I were a cop who likes to hire escorts, I would not want a cell phone around. All it takes is a quick picture and a quick text. I think it would be a good argument for why the phones needed to be left behind and a large amount of cash would be more convincing. I get confused on the time line but I know that Amber was the last to go missing. I am fairly certain that Melissa's phone pinged on LI. I think this was mentioned in the press. Our guy learned from his mistakes.

Just throwing it out there. We have timeframes for some of the LISK victims disappearances . My question is with all the surveillance camera we have is there not cameras going into or out of Gilgo beach. How many ways in and out are there? I would think if you were going to dispose of a body it would have to be done at night and quickly. How about ez pass?

Does anybody know why Dr. Peter Hackett was not seriously considered as a suspect? He seems pretty guilty to me. His phone call to Shannon Gilbert's mom sounded similar to the phone calls made to Barthelemy's sister. (running a home for wayward girls). And then he said on camera that the camera were effecting his defibrillator, which is not a thing that happens, which kind of shows he's a liar. And, of course, his lying about the phone call and Shannon Gilbert's body being found so close to his house. Plus, I simply Googled his name the other day and it said he had been a doctor for Suffolk County Police (in what capacity, I'm not sure, I didn't look into it that closely). Given how corrupt the chief of police was at that time, it seems possible that the Suffolk County Police could have purposely not looked into Hackett to protect one of their own.

Is there something I'm missing?

Some people are afraid of cell phones and the possibility they could cause interference with their pacemakers. I'm more inclined to believe some type of story like that personally. I remember my grandmother visiting us and we would always unplug the microwave while she was there, because of the risk it posed.[h=1][/h]

That has to be it! I remember seeing signs in the hospital, not to use your cell phones inside, because of interference with medical devices and equipment. You certainly wouldn't want your client(one who promises to pay lots more money for their services) to drop dead in your company, or they cause a medical emergency. IMO, it was something like this that made the girls leave their cells behind. It just makes better sense to me, that LISK used a medical issue to lure them away without their cell.

Long time lurker here on the LISK board...like everyday for three years lurker lol. Been following the case since day one when the gb4 were found. Mbb is from my hometown area. Obviously I've been watching the killing season like all you fine folks and after listening to last weeks radio show with josh and Rachel and john ray...I'm sorry. CPH doesn't have a pacemaker and there isn't a shred of evidence to suggest that gets had ever hired a prostitute.

Are you SCPD or friends of Hackett and Brewer? Because if not im not sure how you would be able to verify all these claims? Sounds like hidden agendas to me. Just saying.

Can you provide us with a link or some supporting evidence to the claim that he doesn't have a pacemaker? How can you make that claim? Are you privvy to his medical records?

Regardless, it doesn't mean that LISK didn't use the pacemaker ploy to get the women to leave their phones behind
