Here is a question, if the State could prove that she read the specific pages about the potential death associated with chloroform, and that Casey had given it to Caylee, even just to put her to sleep...would that throw out the possibility of manslaughter?
Even just to put her to sleep? Any reasonable person would assume one of the risks of chloroforming a toddler would be death. Homicide.
And chloroform is short acting she could not have been using it to sedate Caylee.
Giving it a test run to see what to expect when she took her parents out of the way, maybe, but I think you have a clearly preplanned murder of her kid.
As to the why seek out chloroform, if it is used to make meth or kids are sniffing it now (causes cancer, just darwinian at it's core)... but maybe someone offered it to her under that circumstance, she researches how to use it... which is what the context of the search was reported to be... and here we are. Opportunity becomes premeditated murder.
