I am transfixed by this slow motion train wreck of a closing argument. I think I'm most curious about whether he will try to rehabilitate ALV in the eyes of the jury. It's incredibly important to his claims of abuse, but given JM's unchallenged characterization of her as a liar, I think there was a clear determination in one of those closed meetings that she did try to deceive the court and the jury. I wouldn't be surprised if she's sanctioned in some way after the trial is over.

I don't know if the judge has limited what the defense can say, but I'd look for objections from JM and a bench conference or two if Nurmi tries to deny that ALV lied on the stand.

Question? What was KN talking about when he referenced "bad hair cuts and sexual orientation" I don't remember Juan talking about this even when he was cutting AV to pieces. He was always focused on her professional opinion and how she arrived at her conclusion/dx Does anyone have any idea where he is going.

He's just giving Juan credit for things he didn't say - the public may have said it. But not Juan. Everything the public does is Juan's fault according to nurmi.

Hopeful, did you see the way Jodi smiled at her mitigation specialist at the break? This is her life and still, she is cocky! Reminds me so much of Ted Bundy!

I think Bundy had more touch with reality......I think Jodi sees herself as a star and she is loving the attention the trial is bringing her. Look at the outtakes with the tv interviews......she is so excited interacting with the CBS producers. Really telling.....jail is a small price to pay for this kind of attention.

The long lost love child of Vincent Price and Colonel Sanders took the stand today in the agonizing scuttlebuttsurrebuttal phase of the Jodi Arias trial. The psychology “diplomate” crawled out of a crypt deep within Jodi’s fog to testify ALL DAY to his credentials, his education… and the fact that he never talked to defendant Stabby Einstein, or bothered to read a single police report. Nonetheless, Dracula’s butler says he no-likey young whipper-snapper Janeen DeMarte’s diagnosis of BPD, and (more importantly), he’s totally on Team Jenny for Homecoming Queen.

This is pathetic! The pic of Travis with his arms up against the shower wall....she probably has a gun to his head! Nurmi just blew it - the photo proves that there was NO physical threat to JA whatsoever. Juan has proved that the knife wounds started while TA was still enclosed in the shower. There was no dropped camera and closet chase. Travis was mortally wounded before he staggered out of the shower!

As to shooting Travis immediately after she arrived - nice try. Travis's roommate was still in the house.

I thought Juan kind of preempted that yesterday when he said to the jury that they don't have to have a unanimous vote to vote guilty, or something like that. I've always felt that a decision should be made by the majority anyway. Rarely do people agree 100% about anything.

Juan did a good job repeating and interpreting the jury instructions for them. That was sorely lacking in the CA case.

Consider this. The defense team has made this entire trial about sex and how JOdi was uncomfortable with their sex and felt used, etc. Then you have evidence of Jodi recording their phone sex. The last photos taken of Travis are sexual. Jodi is fully aware of the laws of chastity and Travis' religious complications with his sexual life. Let's say that last text exchange where Travis was so furious was about her threatening him with the phone sex tape. This would again point to Jodi's full knowledge of the laws of chastity and using them to hurt Travis. But her ultimate act was to kill him immediately AFTER they had sex but BEFORE he could repent to his priest, leaving Travis with the dying thought that he was damned. That, in my mind, is what Jodi planned all along and she couldn't leave for Utah until she had sex with Travis and it took her longer than she thought to seduce him and get him in bed. This is not surprising considering how angry Travis was with her.
