Maybe they are in chambers because Nurmi just got I'll again...remember yesterday...and now he can let the jurors think all weekend about his remarks?
Question...I was cooking and missed the Walmart/ gas can comment by Nurmi? Did he say she did not return the has can after all or what? Thanks to anyone.....
He claims that JA never said that she returned the gas can to that same Walmart in Salinas. That she could have returned to any Walmart. LIE!

Yes. He had the nerve to LIE and say there were plenty of walmarts to road to Mesa, even though this happened! :stormingmad:

So Nurmi tried to play off the returned gas can by slipping in there that there were plenty of Walmarts on her route to Mesa. Totally ignoring Juan's point, that she testified UNDER OATH that she returned it almost immediately to the same place she bought it.
And the jury heard it when JM confronted her and said " would it surprise you, Ms Arias, to learn that there is no record of any gas cans returned on that day? "
Her reply / " YES, that would surprise me because I returned it..."
So she CLEARLY stated under oath that there should have been a record of it being returned there...

He said she returned it to a different WalMart.
Though on cross she said TWICE that she returned it to the Salinas WalMart.
Jeff Gold and the talking heads walk both sides of the fence so then can keep the Talking Head paychecks coming in. Last thing HLN wants is people turning TV off - big investment in the JA trial for them. But how dumb do they think people are - they know KN is not selling JA - remember 9 out of 10 days he doesn't even like her.

Of course the media is going to want to talk to Juror #8 since he showed up at court -- just like they wanted to talk to Juror #11 when she showed up in the courtroom ...
But the media should KNOW better and try to talk to him OUTSIDE the courtroom ...

...he backed the ford focus up...hit a curb and a parking median...and then he said that she could have thrown the receipt for the gas can in the garbage.... because most Walmarts have garbage cans...and it should have been part of her covert mission to do so...but she didn't...
and then he said that there were other Walmarts that the prosecution didn't check (leaving out the bit that Jodi said she went back to the same one...but that probably has to do with the covert mission and the failure to call in the Black Hawks and such...
he really did say that about the garbage and the other Wlamarts...that part I wasn't exaggerating/lying about...

JW may give her :twocents: today, with her being a DP Attorney and speaking to what "the experts" are saying, but all the note taking she is doing, I am going to speculate she will be doing the "sentencing" phase of this trial.

Ugh Jeff Gold is trying to say Martinez shouldn't have laid out the premeditation plan 'cause now it's giving Nurmi the opening to dispute it, he should have also given the Cancun theory. NOOOO I don't agree if he had brouhgt that up it would have just CONFUSED the jurors.
I also think the things Nurmi is saying is actually BACKING up Juan's theory. For example, he said why did Jodi leave a trail of where she was? And why didn't she give Ryan Burns a LATER arrival time thus giving her a bigger TIME WINDOW to committ the murder....uhhh gee I'm not a genius but it seems obvious to me that she was trying to leave a verifiable trail and give herself only SHORT time in which she was unnacounted for = ALIBI. Oh yeah why didn't she just go straight from Yrecka to Mesa and then to Utah....because that would have been like 3 (or more?) days in which she was completely unaccounted for...does that make more sense Nurmi???
Also rental car why wouldn't she take her family's car? That doesn't make sense either, b/c she already prepared to say she took the rental car b/c she was going to Utah on her "road trip." Am I the only one who doesn't find any sense in what Nurmi was saying?? If she had taken a family's car and she had been CAUGHT BY POLICE IN ARIZONA THEY WOULD HAVE TRACED IT BACK TO HER.
